  1. First off: it wasn't called the "AATX" Secondly, the AA has always been improved, even within series themselves
  2. Reputation is worth nothing here, 2080ti or even super is the better performing card, period You could argue that case for the 2080 non-TI/Super though Which has no added value whatsoever on the 2080ti, just look at the performance hit 30x0/40x0 cards are taking when switching on RT, while being better equipped for it For the 20x0 series, one can almost state Ray Tracing was a sales gimmick
  3. I think Intel's issues won't limit to customer backlash on this Them telling people they paid for an unlocked K-class CPU, that they have have to run at stock clocks (if at that and not lower) forever and then still hope it doesn't fail due to corrosion, isn't gonna go down well But they also threw their boardpartners under the bus just a few months ago, only for the problem to exacerbate not long after Intel's own Bios 'Fix" Now, I don't know the inner workings of Intel. but I'm pretty sure they informed their BP where the "do not cross this line/ye who enter here, abandon all hope" was at release of Gen 13-14 CPUs Nobody was waiting for 'their' product to become news by melting down from normal use (and 'normal' is subjective under the K-class silicon, LN overclocking anyone? Nothing up to 12th Gen gave any hints those CPU's would self-annihilate) The BP's probably didn't do any different than what they did in previous Gens, relying on Intel CPU safety features, which worked as intended, but the added performance simply accelerated the deterioration How this will affect Intel's (or BP's) market? Probably not much, the bulk of the money is made on millions of bare bone workstations, not on entitled gamers, otoh, it's that small part of the market that gets most of the attention in the press, then again, Mercedes isn't selling less cars when not winning F1 either
  4. Nah, the demand will be fed by the need, it's one of the reasons VR still stays rather 'niche" (while being applicable to a larger market than 'just' flight sim) We'd need more games that solely support specific flight gear, but developers will be hard pressed to cater solely to such a small part of the market
  5. @tedcrowley18 The 4060ti already isn't the best suited for card for 4k, and that's when running in a system of the same generation, now couple that with pretty dated hardware and a pretty demanding game and one is bound to run into performance issues You're gonna have to choke your fidelity pretty hard to improve that stuttering, to try and keep the GPU from handing off any overspill to the rest of the system (and even then, your system might have to struggle with some work the GPU simply doesn't handle)
  6. Good, i found those blobs gamebreaking
  7. Meh, I don't have to clean up the mess after the trap anyway
  8. Just 7000 licenses? It's the F-14, I wouldn't be surprised if they sold double that item by now And keep in mind, software needs almost no resources or distribution today, once you break even, it's a profit profit margin most other goods manufacturers can only dream about
  9. Early next september, I'll be hitting 20 years of exclusive motorcycle riding A recurring theme over those 2 decades: First bike, GSX-R 750 SRAD 1998 bought 2nd hand, owned almost 2 years / roughly 22000km 2nd bike, GSX-R 750 K6 2006 Bought new, rode for over 12 years, 95000km when she died (she was old and worn) 3rd, GSX-R 1000 K5 2005 Barn find, bought in 2019 with 7500km on the clock, true treasure (still had the original front tire) When later Corona closed everything except the gas stations, I added 35000km to her tally in a total of 18 months on her, alas, the one that got away, she was stolen Current, again 1000 K5 (because it's a friggin K5!) Bought at 30000km, day before Christmas 2021, currently at 56000km Not it's current form, though mostly (mirrors and exhaust changed after crash early 2023) Got Marchesini wheels, Wilbers modified suspension, Powercommander, braided brakelines, etc. Some beautification like seat cover, double headlight, custom tankpad, exhaust hanger, etc. (Basically all bikes had some level of modification, though this one has the most diverse -what I had planned for the bumblebee the K6 had the most times, like 4 mufflers, 2 windscreens, 5 sets crashpads, etc.) Hope to reach those 95000km again and beyond
  10. 1 time purchase by 1 person, you seem to forget these modules are not a limited in number or in time offering, but can be sold for a long time to a lot of new customers as long as the engine supports the module I bought the F-14 early this year, almost 5 years after pre-release
  11. Hm, I do notice you don't set Shift 1 while setting Shift 2 functions, this might be a reason If things go wonky again, try to assign a shift# at all times (So if you have a button under shift 2, all others should have shift 1 checked), see if that solves any issues, it could be setting shift off while there are other shift states used, it does not see non-state (Shift Off) buttons
  12. Really like the added power, before, the bird wouldn't "voom" if you put four million volts through it!
  13. I have the V1 Mongoost, but it works with the same software First off: what happens if you uncheck the "Turbo/Delay" option? This is my setup: Profile page: Button Page: null S1 Same settings for Physical 065 - Disregard 053, that's the push function S2 In VPC Joystick tester, this results in this:
  14. Yes, encoders are basically buttons as well make a new logic button # under the same physical (encoder) button and assign it to SHFT2 (Don't forget to set the 5-way to shift function)
  15. That cheap thing? It can't even do loopings or barrel rolls If money was no object, I'd certainly have a full range motion rig
  16. If it did have the F-15 grip,... but it's the F-18 grip
  17. You're trying very hard to discredit someone while the photo's show no proof of what you are suggesting A side mount? look at that picture, that's not a clamp for a side mount (Doesn't even show any capability for the base to be mounted sideways) And then there is your problem of him 'using a wrong stick', because you are sure Moza gave him a stick or suggested using a different one? So he's supposed to be 'pro' enough to jury-rig his own simpit on the fly to incorporate a ground mount FFB base or side mount a desk mount, but he can't use different grips, because apparently real pro's never do that? Please stop moving the goalposts You prove to me this base is only for the DIY Simpit building crowd and I'll stop defending a basic consumer's PoV on this product
  18. AFAIK there is still the separate ST/MT startup files
  19. I'd think most would advise 7800x3d, 64gb, 2tb NVME, with the highest GPU you can afford I'd add the comforts of as many fast USB ports on the MB as possible to that and Wifi 6+
  20. @Mr_sukebe The gist I get from Spudknocker's 'review', the setup as Moza has presented it, is mechanically too flawed to give a good review (I'd say not being able to utilize the sticks entire deflection is akin to reviewing a car in a parking space) and needs to be reworked and not so much a "RTFM" issue
  21. I've had 32 gigs RAM and was using a total of 56 gigs when running DCS (8-9gb was used by system so about 15gb came sourced from the pagefile), so how did you come to the conclusion DCS doesn't use more than 32Gb of memory? With my 3060ti, this had stuttering, shifted pagefile to an SSD, this improved, but upgraded to 64 and this issue was gone I think you can agree a 3080ti is not a lower performing card than a 3060ti?
  22. I agree, and contrary to what may appear, I also do not think an FFB setup can work clamped to a desk, unless with a very unwieldy solid/heavy anchored mount (And that's not taking the people's average quality of desk into account) This worked somewhat with the original Oculus CV's but that was experimental tech, not a 25 year old product type, and its versions were moderately wel executed Setting bad blood might get your product killed pretty quickly "Just let the fools part with their money"-attitude is one such way It'd be a bit like ED putting up a half baked module, then release the same -but finished- module later, which you buy separately
  23. Uhm, check again, because he's right (I also had to do a double take) Available Item Orion2 HOTAS Metal Warthog So, Winwing IS selling the(ir version of the) Warthog
  24. Good job, the Moza FFB marketing is now dead in the water This product is only for those with dedicated simpits and can only be reviewed by guys that are able to reconfigure their existing rig to mount this up I got a great sales slogan: "Amateurs need not apply, only for Elite simmers" (And since we'll never get our investment back with that little marketshare, forget about a desktop version)
  25. I'm sure if there is a fetish where people get aroused by intricate PCB and circuit layouts, they be sporting mahogany at the sight of these pictures
