  1. This might give you some pointers:
  2. My experience with Logitecs is: no, they aren't
  3. How many PCIe power connectors does the card (or adapter cable) need
  4. Don't forget to check if your PSU can supply the GPU (Not just wattage, but also connections)
  5. At that res, a 2080/3060ti and up probably will get you there, depending on the level of eye candy you dial in
  6. @Aronis Which grips do you have on the throttle?
  7. Put MSI afterburner fans on auto?
  8. Like the Moza, tempting But I'll wait out if it has full Virpil compatibility
  9. You can't say with certainty that the diminishing of the playerbase is due to spotting Probably because you don't like to be challenged, which probably explains your following words: And again you're wrong, dying is very easy, It's actually so easy, anyone can do it ...how about you try again and come back with an actual rebuttal instead of failed sarcastic counter
  10. Spotting shouldn't be easy in the first place, so forcing it to be bad for everyone would be the best natural choice
  11. Yeah, I don't know what the power was of the motors on my G940, but 1 hour flying a spitfire without a decent break, my arm would be starting to complain, 2 hours were a definite "Nope"
  12. FWIW, that looks like a decent slab of steel
  13. Necessity is the mother of invention For example: When I got my VPC pedals, they were at a different position from the wall than the Saitek's I had, and gave issues with my sitting position with the stick mounted under my desk, a little later I got a Playseat I just wanted the seat though, not the steering/pedal attachments, though i did get the Shifter plate to mount my throttle and VKB SEM I first had to raise the seat on 4 2x4's or I'd be sitting behind my desk typing/moving the mouse like a T-rex, the shifter plate was too low for my tastes, so I went back to my old throttle mount (an old speaker cabinet), but I did like the adjustable stick bracket for my NXT, so I bolted that to the cabinet as well Still had the issue with my pedals/stick position though I then used the unemployed steering/pedal plate connecting beam that came with the seat, to attach my VPC mount (I have the old v1 straight mount) on the end, upside down/backwards, so I could slide the stick in the correct position and clamp it down, this also solved a previous issue where I had to dismount the stick every time I didn't use it, because now I can also slide it forward out of the way Added bonuses: the change of the mount position allowed me to bolt my LT flight panel and a TM MFD in the location where it previously was and I could also strap a cheap programmable numpad forward of the stick on the mount, the reuse of my speaker cabinet with the shifter bracket gave enough space to bolt a WW Orion AND my old VPC CM on it, totally impossible on the shifter plate from Playseat (Ok, not in an ideal position, but 4 levers are handy flying the Mosquito and I mostly did this for the extra buttons of the CM) So, 'out of the box', wasn't the perfect setup, but screwing around with what I had lying around gave me nothing but improvements Looking forward, FFB bases come into view, and I'm eyeing my current setup which works pretty well, so I'm slowly brainstorming how to attach a big base to that beam in such a way I can still get the stick out of the way, while not having a shaking mess on my hands when in use, I'm getting the feeling those 2 cheap and insignificant 2x4's are gonna end up of more use than just raising the seat and might be key in getting a solid mounting
  14. That is entirely true, the BS that's been fed by marketing as the 'privilege' of being the first buyers", or whatever the illusion the customers have, has nothing to do with it The bottom line is money not being overspent on stock that will not sell, whether this be from the manufacturers' PoV or the retailers'
  15. People think that somehow "preorder" has some kind of status for a customer No, it helps manufacturers, to estimate how much units need to be initially produced, diminishing the risk of overproduction and having to discount prices since goods are warming the shelves
  16. No, and I do not understand your sense of entitlement If releasedates are pushed back, be glad, you'd be a lot less happy if they rush out the product
  17. Somehow I haven't seen any benchmarks where the memory differences between AMD and Nvidia seemed to make a difference (If anything, any differences appear to have more to do with which GPU brand a developer optimized for) Regardless of the smaller bus-size and memory amount, it seems that Gddr6X has quite some performance over regular Gddr6 -Note: compared to a 4080(s), a 4070TiS vs XTX is not apples-to-apples
  18. Blurry text would make me guess the PD is set a bit too low, then again, Jitter makes me think the PD is set too high These settings did 'Ok' for my 3060ti with HP G2 (But I believe the Q3 is a bit more demanding?)
  19. No one can say Yes, you can consider that, and still be proven wrong over time I may be too negative in claiming the new microcode won't prevent affected CPU's from degrading even more, but I still think Intel should have investigated which production period was below standard and RMA those batches
  20. They just set the step into flightsim and somehow you want items to not be released, because not everything they are applicable for is available yet This thing works with the FFB base and apparently the upcoming throttle, maybe even more in te future, but what is currently available and looking forward is not okay with you This seems more like you're complaining just to have something to complain about
  21. If you recommend this card, please make a caveat that this thing is frigging huge and might not fit every case (Though most 4080 supers are pretty big since many have simply been outfitted with 4090 coolers)
  22. It's all a matter of interest and a whole internet full of info If you want to know, you're gonna search for answers (and find them), trick is to find good sources, but usually, the longer you dabble into something and gain experience, the easier it is to separate the wheat from the chaff. I don't keep up with PC tech all that much anymore, but usually whenever I'm looking at upgrading a system, I tend to follow what's going on months in advance, get familiar with what's current and what's coming (because by the time I have the money, I might be able to skip forward a generation in tech), start looking at prices to determine a budget, etc. By the time I'm up to date with my system, I also am generally up to date with the ins and outs of the tech
  23. Only time will tell if running these CPU's without added stress (OCing) will make them last the warranty For all you know, you've got a ticking timebomb that already has been damaged Without the microcode revision (and probably even then), the Intel settings are still gonna spike your CPU The Intel Bios Ver is just Intel being wrong about what failed their CPU's (and putting the blame on board partners), they failed because they are faulty production
  24. It's in the description (which even I didn't bother to read at first, but why else have a plate with 22 mounting holes if all it's for is the throttle):
  25. It's a base plate, either you use suction cups with it or rig/ground mount your FFB base with it
