  2. Simapp? It could be, there were similar issues in the past with WW software interfering with other devices.
  3. After removing the mods or renaming "Saved Games\DCS" folder did you perform a full repair? As last resort try with NV 566.36 drivers, the current ones are causing a lot of different issues.
  4. What draconus wrote, + 2025-05-14 23:42:48.662 WARNING EDCORE (Main): hypervisor is active Disable Hyper-V from BIOS. (re-enable if issue persists and you really need it) 2025-05-14 23:43:03.913 WARNING SECURITYCONTROL (2180): IC fail: /shaders/deferred/atmosphere.hlsl @ bazar/shaders Perform a full repair of DCS. Be sure to not run DCS as Admin.
  5. Agree, and since 7 is getting worse with every update, but my 19045.3086 logs have no errors, only warnings (27, e1dexpress) because I disable the LAN before shutting down or for software installation.
  6. Lately I often read the suggestion "Windows 10 will be EOL Oct 14th 2025. Upgrade to Windows 11", for a lot of valid reasons I have no intentions of enabling TPM and use a online account just to downgrade to W10+1, my question is: will DCS continue to run and receive updates on W10 machines in the following 2-3 years? Best regards.
  7. No such issues with trackir 5 here, can you upload a dcs.log and a dxdiag.txt?
  8. Check this: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/372899-realtek-alc1200-audio-causing-simulation-speed-fluctuation/#comment-5640225 NVIDIA Display Driver Version 57602.r575_92 Try with a clean install of 552.44 or 566.36 drivers (use DDU if you don't know what files to remove manually), also delete shaders in C:\Users\***\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache and C:\Users\***\Saved Games\DCS. Have you tried renaming the Saved Games\DCS folder? Maybe there are leftovers from current release causing performance issues.
  9. There's not much software developers can do when NVidia release borked drivers and faulty GPU's... Btw: 2025-05-02 07:55:21.013 WARNING EDCORE (Main): hypervisor is active 2025-05-02 07:55:21.013 WARNING EDCORE (Main): CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be source of stuttering and reduced performance especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E-cores) Disable core parking and Hyper-V and see if it still crashes.
  10. Open "Through The Inferno (Syria - Damascus) v2.6.1p.miz" file with ME and under "define mission era here" change "modernr" in "modern".
  11. Only if your logs are full of critical errors. Now I have 3 Win 10 Pro machines (+2 Linux), since 2003 with XP I never needed a reset/reinstall and performance benchmarks were the same as day 1 until the dismissal of the machines (2 W7 are still being used), the trick is to disable all useless processes/auto tasks/backdoors/spyware, don't let Win manage maintenance (do it manually) and make backups before updating drivers/software. Edit: forgot, disable disk indexing can prevent massive system slowdowns. Anyone noticed that it's slower starting/exiting but during the mission is more smooth and stable (except for the periodic spike)?
  12. A dcs.log could be helpful... If you don't own a RTX 50 series card don't install any driver past 566.36, until they sort out the mess they've made, don't install NV App and if you use you're MB audio device or a sound card don't install NV HD Audio drivers. (Windows 10/11 sucks, don't ask me why...) Check your event viewer logs for errors.
  13. This is not a GPU driver issue, I'm on 552.44, nor a chipset drivers, BIOS, OS issue, it's how DCS engine is handling the vast amount of data and computations needed by the sim.
  14. Yesterday I've tested 2.9.13 and in SP loading time/memory usage was the same as current release, 2sec difference can be ignored, like was/is this suggestion: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/357590-4k-32bit-textures-on-all-modules/ , which could be the solution to all of our problems.
  15. It takes time to release all the memory used by DCS, in TTI Sinai I've reached 8GB VRAM/60GB RAM (CTD, obviously).
  16. Just came here to thank you for the updated pdf manual!
  17. The question here is how to install an older version from scratch, the DCS_World_web.exe can be run with command lines?
  18. After multiple tests I've noticed that the timed frame time spikes ( https://forum.dcs.world/topic/370602-cpu-bound-frametime-spike/ ) are caused by AI Wingman, below the same mission with only the pilot and with 3 wingmans. bagram_test2: periodic spikes/microfreezes bagram_test2_no-wingman: smooth (I'm using 2.9.14.8394 because 2.9.15.9408 had longer loading times, but the performance was the same) bagram_test2_no-wingman.miz bagram_test2.miz dcs bagram_test2_no-wingman.log dcs bagram_test2.log
  19. Good guide, but the DCS performance has been problematic since last year, now I'm rolling back to 2.9.14.8394 because 2.9.15.9408 is even worse. It's not a user/HW/OS/SW issue, all of your suggestions were already applied long before installing DCS years ago (except for MSI AB for fan control, wich tests revealed that causes no issues on my rig).
  20. Same here, high CPU usage when idle, but it's been like this since 2.9.8
  21. I would be glad to know if other users noticed the same behaviour of the preload setting not being applied, if dev's are aware of a issue/bug or if it's happening only on my PC. I see lots of FPS drops/frame time spikes/sutters reports, this is what Process Monitor logs during the spike: DCS is constantly reading from *.surface5, even when parked, as if preload radius is zero.
  22. Matias, you simply don't have enough cores (IO cores: {}) and RAM to run the lots of present in current DCS release... Follow sleighzy suggestions, if you still have issues then better start thinking at a HW upgrade.
  23. Have you followed the procedure described at page 193-194 of Chuck's guide? https://chucksguides.com/aircraft
