  1. ...and that's what we call for "target practice" for the rest of us!!! :v:
  2. By TW I assume you mean the HW. :smilewink: It's replica... i.e. same scale as the real thing. Secondly, it doesn't have gimbals like the Cougar did and the feel is well... Read this hands-on preview of the HW wrttien by Ray from the Virtual Thunderbirds and check out these videos with Ray in the ACES II seat for an idea of the fulid movements of the HW. 3. +1, :megalol: I agree with Babu though, a lot of nothing has been communicated in this thread.
  4. Nice video... and a beautiful jet featured! I agree the capture needs a little "AA love" though. Also, that landing...:shocking: OUCH! I know the Gripen has carrier-grade landing gear to utilize the road networks and be STOL capable, but the guy in the video was coming in a little too hot (still) I'd say! Enjoyed it though! :)
  5. My points are simply 1) TM's website has been like that for quite some time (several months) and it's cryptic to say the least; 2) While I'm not one to determine the MSRP nor be the first to find out, I'm in contact with TM people "in the know" almost on a daily basis and AFAIK the final price hasn't been determined, yet... and; 3) I do have an educated guess where the USD amount will end up. I can tell you the HW will be worth every penny and that my heavily modded Cougar (which has cost me way more than the HW will cost) is collecting dust in my closet. This is definitely a high-end controller, and yes it ain't cheap - but you get what you pay for!
  6. To piggyback on Panther's response to that... No Virtual Thunderbird member has mentioned ANY price here or anywhere else, period. Btw, where is everyone getting their info from? TM's website has said what it says for ages and the price is NOT final... the reason is, AFAIK the MSRP hasn't been determined, yet! Joint release... well, since this is the ED Forums... ask them if DCS: A-10C will be out this fall... This thread is out of control...
  7. Awesome work! The Viggen sure brings back some memories...
  8. Where are you getting this info?
  9. The HW launch is still targetted for end of Q3. Nothing to my knowledge has changed there guys.
  10. Nice work on the site Beaker!
  11. Yes you can! Doing it as we speak...
  12. I'm sure everyone has seen some of the following by now: Game Nexus - E3 2010: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog SimHQ at E3Expo 2010 - Hands-on: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Controller Additionally, here's a post by Teej, one of the Virtual Thunderbird pilots on site in LA at the preview event of the HOTAS Warthog, commenting on several of the asked about features/concerns (from the SimHQ forums): http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3032644/Re_Thrustmaster_HOTAS_Warthog_.html#Post3032644
  13. 2nd'ed!!! Good post Falcon. Having a sticky ruler with one end attached to allow you to measure degrees/distance (from the anchor point) while placing units is dearly missed in FC2!
  14. The Thunderbirds have used it for a few years during the crew chief show (while the planes taxi out). ;) @ 6:48- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYK8xJ8wGoY
  15. SimHQ: Lock On Platinum An Interview with Producer Matt Wagner
  16. Nice trailer VTS! Keep up the good work. The 2nd song seems very familiar... :music_whistling::smilewink:
  17. Kinda looks like a contrail from a turbine engine at high alt. :P
  18. Good video!! I agree with what Frazer said. I remember an old 3GO team in Lock On, but haven't seen anything from them for years...
  19. +1 That's great! Any idea if there's a fix for the LAT/LONG coordinates as well?
  20. Awesome work as always Blaze & SE! I've always felt the colors in Lock On are a bit cartoonish, which is why I usually tweak my monitor to a less saturated setting. This will help! Now, can I talk you into sharing those porta potties... One for Deuce! :megalol: P.S. OT... Your airport signage is pretty close, but no cigar... there's one mistake I can spot.
  21. Looking great!!! ...but the airport signage needs to be fixed (read here).
  22. Have you tried looking for it in the ModelLOD.txt?
  23. Here's another excuse... ;) Gunner's Pit:
  24. Seems to me most AV software nowadays are so antiquated and provide little protection vs. adding more issues to deal with (such as false positives after running ones updates). Unless you surf suspicious and high risk sites (i.e. file sharing etc.), the chances of getting infected with something your AV will find is relatively small... The computer just runs so much better without AV too! That said, I don't mind AVG, avast etc. since they don't eat your memory and add another layer of protection for a small price. Norton is the devil though!!!
