I'm just running a i7 8700K, MSI 3080ti, 32Gb of RAM, about 4Tb of SSD storage. this system runs the game flat out on a (Reflected's Wolfpack campaign) 32" LG monitor, with TIR. The fps on his campaign runs around 50 to 100+fps. Once in awhile it will take an unexpected drop but not by much. And I have pretty high game and nvidia settings too. Ben Franklin got it right when he said.................. “Buy what you have no need of and before long you will sell your necessities.” Cheers

P-70 (A-20 Night-fighter), F7F-1N, 2N, 4N, F6F-5N, P-61 has three crew members, two is the max I would want to go. For Europe, the Beaufighter as a Night fighter is the better option. The Northrop P-61 Black Widow gets a lot of attention considering the relatively small role it played in World War II. Unlike the P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang, it did not have an impressive number of kills. It downed only about 127 aircraft (18 were V-1 Buzz Bombs). Its overall impact on the war was minimal and its victories were sporadic. In comparison, the Junkers Ju-88 had more night victories than all Allied fighters combined. Only 674 P-61s were built during the war (32 more after the war's end) and it served in the war just over a year. The bottom line, a lot of resources went into an aircraft with very little to show for it. It didn’t go into combat until after D-Day and by the end of the war, the Allies had established air superiority on all fronts. Enemy aircraft were few and far between—particularly at night, which accounts partially for the low tally of victories.

He will probably just supply software to print your own, and a parts list to build it. IMHO....

LOL, I think I have about six profiles in VA, most for DCS, only one for IL2.

Could be a trip point for a sketchy wire... at full throttle it's making contact, when you reduce throttle (postion) the wire angle changes and it opens. Or your motherboard in your controller is going bad.

I'm I going in the wrong direction upgrading my computer?
_Hoss replied to pushcart2012's topic in Guides & Tutorials
wireless left hand track-mouse attached to the left side of your throttle. Works like magic............... Cheers -
Works just fine, there are some inconsistencies between the TF and P-51... the canopy does not work on the TF but does on the P.

Pfffffftt.................................. I don't care really which map, as long as we get a very good selection of Pacific Warbirds to fly around on it. Did I mention Okinawa?............ Solomons for early battles, old planes... Okinawa for late planes and battles. And the Southern Island of Japan for faux invasion campaign.. Hellcats, Bearcats, Tigercats, Helldivers, Corsairs, Avengers............ Dang... I need a cold shower...

South Atlantic Map early access release note
_Hoss replied to myHelljumper's topic in South Atlantic
His list only has the TF-51 on it, and its a Showbird not a Warbird... not even the F-86 or Mig-15, 19.... Guess we will have to wait for the quick missions from the developers. Cheers. -
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants simple missions
_Hoss replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in User Created Missions General
The list does not include Warbirds, (only TF-51) one reason why I was hesitant about getting the South Atlantic map. There is more to the game than jets, LOL, I did not see the F-86 or Mig-15 on the list either.. Would like to see all the Warbirds added to the list at some point. Cheers -

ADMIRAL189'S CORNER - INCOMING SHIP MODELS
_Hoss replied to Admiral189's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
I did three RIMPAC's in 20 years, the Aussie's, Kiwi's, and Canadian's are a blast to drink with afterwards in Hawaii, when it's over.... The Japanese Navy was out there with us too. We usually did these just before we went out on WESTPAC. Did a NORPAC once too, COLD!.............. -
Isn't the F8F Bearcat being built by someone?............ it never saw action either, I would absolutely love to see someone, anyone build a F7F Tigercat. We could use all of these in Korean era missions, along with the A-26 Invader. Meteor, Mk.22 SeaFire, F9F Panther, A1-D Skyraider, F4U-4... I would buy all of those without hesitation. I mean, there is the I-16 in game now, and no other planes to match it with, so most arguments are moot.......

Sorry, I found the thread about the F/A-18 stick button, and it wasn't the TMWH version that had the same button just pop off. I agree the pinky switch does seem a bit un-ergonomic. It has the exact same button count as the F-16 stick though. Even with Tempo presses, which can be expanded to any button, or momentary switch. I do use this SCRIPT for DCS, I wish I could use it for IL2, but it only supports 60dx buttons or so. Cheers Hoss

Okay, I can understand that. I had read on HOTAS/HOSAS/SIMPIT Discord channel, a few people felt one Hat felt wonky. I've had my TMWH for over nine years now and love it. I had thought about getting the F/A-18 stick. But I read those cases where they mentioned that button.

USAF and International F-16V Variants As A New Module
_Hoss replied to Dawgboy's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Getting a full fidelity F-15 would be nice too, then we could have the International versions... F-15I to Isreal, and the F-15SA to Saudi Arabia, the newest SA's are some of the most advanced F-15's out there. Why we don't have a fully clickable F-15 is beyond me. Maybe they can make the E into a single seater with a Mod. -
What do you want to know about TIR?, you can PM me if you wish to. I use TIR, I'm 65, so I'm going to go VR eventually and I do have serious neck problems from my time in USN... So I'm following to see how it works for DishDoggie.

Yeah...that's when I retired... they're always changing the name of something. Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, AIMD; to the Fleet Readyness Center, or FRC; FRC for what? High ranking Os are always doing that so they can say they did something great on their fitness reports to get promoted. But once they do that you have to reprint all your publications with said changes, and distribute them DoN wide. It was not broke to start with, but let's change it up anyway. Tax payers won't mind. The three Prowler crew were called ECMOs. The guy/gal in the Growler's backseat are just a run of the mill GIB now for the GIF. CHEERS

That's the ECMO.......

Those things on the wings were ALQ-99s, Those went to the guys in the ECM Van's hanging in hangerbay one. (Their shop at Whidbey is lead lined) The 126s were behind the cockpit in the turtleback (dangerous to get in and out, could damage the plane) and another in the back near the doghouse. The 126 weighed 198lbs..... not easy to carry around the boat to and from the plane. They liked to split the two decks to make it easier to carry, but that nullified its "Ready for Issue" status..... and they would break the interdeck RF hardlines, and cables, or self test it on the flight deck and fry the input crystals. I caught one squadie with the lower deck sliding it down the ladder, bent the hell out of the front of it.
