  1. That is the only thing about the Warthog throttle I'm not a fan of, those five switches that are hard to access once you are airborne. I make mine engine start functions, and never mess with them again after engine start. With TMWH and Monstertech mounts you have to think ahead about what you are going to do and how to mount it. I've had to experiment with mine to maintain functionality of use and storage. I saw a button box that fit on the left hand side of the throttle and it was only about 2" wide and the length of the throttle base, and all the buttons were usable any time.
  2. Turn off your Firewall, reboot, do a repair, reboot, start game.. if it works, turn firewall back on...
  3. Yes, my trim box works on all of the controls available. Some don't have all R/P/Y adjustments. All the other problems with my controllers and the Settings/Keymapping GUI page are good now. Thank you for asking.
  4. Gee, thanks Razor... sniffff.. snort.... .. I totally forgot Thailand, but we would need some F-105's to flesh that out proper, and I don't see those coming anytime soon. But the possibilities are endless, maybe even a hint of China around North Vietnam too... There is some animosity there now I think....
  5. It looks like you can put M.2 SSD's on your Motherboard, I'd get two, 1 or 2TB SSD's for your Motherboard. And another SSD to go in your mounts in the case. I've had one 1TB M.2 SSD on my Mobo and I ran out of room with IL2, IL2beta, and DCS & DCS Open Beta on it. I have the OS on a 500Gb SSD in the case, plus another 300Gb HDD for a dump truck. I can't stress how important it is to get Memory for a new build. If you have SSD's or HDD's you can erase if need be that you can install once you get your computer, that will alleviate buying extras. But I did go out and get another 1TB M.2 SSD for the Mother board, now I have IL2 and Beta on one and DCS and Open Beta on the other, with a lot of room to grow. The Windows OS is on the 500GB SSD in the case. So all in all I have 2.75TB of storage on this build, the two in the case came from old builds, the M.2's are new. Make sure they are cooled well, I noticed you got water cooling, I hope there are enough fans to keep the rest of the Mobo components cool. I've got six in mine LOL, sounds like a F/A-18 on start up.. LOL I use a 32" LG monitor 2560x1440, 144hz, 165fps with a Display Port 1.4 cable. I got it at CostCo and I do not regret it. When I built this computer I kept the SSD/HDD's, and my Monitor, and Video Card. I have since bought the MSI RTX3080ti Ventus, (huge difference) and replaced the monitor when it blew up. This one was on sale at Costco the next day so I bought it. G-sync is what I'm using instead of V-sync. No glitches in DCS and it runs IL2 insane fast.... Combat Box can tax it if it's really crowded with objects.. you know Alonzo and Sketch.. Now for the fun part, getting it setup, and everything installed..... I'm unavailable for tech assistance by the way... I've got some flying to do. Let us know how it goes. Hoss
  6. Tek Creations is the name of the mfg. They are out of Australia, so shipping is going to be pricey if yer not an Ozzie or Kiwi... and they do let you build your own plate to your tastes. They are $85.00 Ozzie dollars and around $45.00 to ship to California... As much as I do not look at my HOTAS while flying I don't believe I really need one of these for $131.00 Ozzie dollars, which works out to about $90.00 USD. But visit the sight, there are much more goodies there than just the Warthog plates. https://tekcreations.space/product-category/custom-plates-for-thrustmaster-warthog/ Cheers Hoss
  7. treasure, I sent you my TIR profile via PM, let me know if you need any help installing it. there are screenshots and a readme in there with it. Cheers Hoss
  8. I have been doing this flight sim stuff for awhile now... The birds I most would love to play with are the late WWII birds that did not see action in WWII. The F7F Tigercat, F8F Bearcat, the P-47N with wet wings, then the A-26, A-36.... I mean if we can get the Stunt Yak-52, the Christen Eagle II, and the I-16, whats holding anyone from doing these birds. I'm really surprised the Mosquito came out before a P-38. I end up getting P.O.d at DCS/ED for the lack of focus on finishing any Theater of War. Three WWII maps and very few planes of the period to make it more interesting. If all the AI were flyable it might be a bigger draw for the IL2 crowd to finally come over here for good. The Me-262 still needs to be started/finished after waiting for it this long. With a good map of Korea we could use the late war birds in a "What if we had to invade Japan" scenario... and Korean War on in to the cold war, to present. I absolutely have no idea why I have bought maps and planes I still have not used or mastered. Huge waste of money here on bits and pieces that may never fit together to make any real sense. And don't get me started on Bugs, why anyone would want to play on a Bugged out Open Beta Multiplayer server is beyond me, but here we are killing it..or trying to anyway. LOL Hoss
  9. I'm just running a i7 8700K, MSI 3080ti, 32Gb of RAM, about 4Tb of SSD storage. this system runs the game flat out on a (Reflected's Wolfpack campaign) 32" LG monitor, with TIR. The fps on his campaign runs around 50 to 100+fps. Once in awhile it will take an unexpected drop but not by much. And I have pretty high game and nvidia settings too. Ben Franklin got it right when he said.................. “Buy what you have no need of and before long you will sell your necessities.” Cheers
  10. I'd like to see this done to DCS standards. It is a glaring omission from ETO....
  11. P-70 (A-20 Night-fighter), F7F-1N, 2N, 4N, F6F-5N, P-61 has three crew members, two is the max I would want to go. For Europe, the Beaufighter as a Night fighter is the better option. The Northrop P-61 Black Widow gets a lot of attention considering the relatively small role it played in World War II. Unlike the P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang, it did not have an impressive number of kills. It downed only about 127 aircraft (18 were V-1 Buzz Bombs). Its overall impact on the war was minimal and its victories were sporadic. In comparison, the Junkers Ju-88 had more night victories than all Allied fighters combined. Only 674 P-61s were built during the war (32 more after the war's end) and it served in the war just over a year. The bottom line, a lot of resources went into an aircraft with very little to show for it. It didn’t go into combat until after D-Day and by the end of the war, the Allies had established air superiority on all fronts. Enemy aircraft were few and far between—particularly at night, which accounts partially for the low tally of victories.
  12. He will probably just supply software to print your own, and a parts list to build it. IMHO....
  13. LOL, I think I have about six profiles in VA, most for DCS, only one for IL2.
  14. Could be a trip point for a sketchy wire... at full throttle it's making contact, when you reduce throttle (postion) the wire angle changes and it opens. Or your motherboard in your controller is going bad.
  15. Saw a guy a long time ago take gloves and a Wii controller and camera and make a point control glove out of it. Worked great.....
  16. Look on Youtube as well.
  17. wireless left hand track-mouse attached to the left side of your throttle. Works like magic............... Cheers
  18. Works just fine, there are some inconsistencies between the TF and P-51... the canopy does not work on the TF but does on the P.
  19. Pfffffftt.................................. I don't care really which map, as long as we get a very good selection of Pacific Warbirds to fly around on it. Did I mention Okinawa?............ Solomons for early battles, old planes... Okinawa for late planes and battles. And the Southern Island of Japan for faux invasion campaign.. Hellcats, Bearcats, Tigercats, Helldivers, Corsairs, Avengers............ Dang... I need a cold shower...
  20. His list only has the TF-51 on it, and its a Showbird not a Warbird... not even the F-86 or Mig-15, 19.... Guess we will have to wait for the quick missions from the developers. Cheers.
  21. The list does not include Warbirds, (only TF-51) one reason why I was hesitant about getting the South Atlantic map. There is more to the game than jets, LOL, I did not see the F-86 or Mig-15 on the list either.. Would like to see all the Warbirds added to the list at some point. Cheers
  22. Anyone make some GP fly around the map missions with any plane? Would love to see the map from the air without going on MP...
  23. I did three RIMPAC's in 20 years, the Aussie's, Kiwi's, and Canadian's are a blast to drink with afterwards in Hawaii, when it's over.... The Japanese Navy was out there with us too. We usually did these just before we went out on WESTPAC. Did a NORPAC once too, COLD!..............
  24. Isn't the F8F Bearcat being built by someone?............ it never saw action either, I would absolutely love to see someone, anyone build a F7F Tigercat. We could use all of these in Korean era missions, along with the A-26 Invader. Meteor, Mk.22 SeaFire, F9F Panther, A1-D Skyraider, F4U-4... I would buy all of those without hesitation. I mean, there is the I-16 in game now, and no other planes to match it with, so most arguments are moot.......
