  1. Guess what? I count up about 1518 holes in that unit! (33 lines: average of 46 holes/line) Could be easily 2 T/R modules for each hole ;) What is your point? Anyway the AN/APG-77 (used in F/A-22) has 1500 T/R modules.
  2. The point is lately a lot is evolving in the Russia/China/India area! Remember the revolution in technology during WWII period (especially 42-45)! Looks like India will have AESA radar in production before the typhoon. The same can happen with an R-77 ramjet version (they still can beat meteor with their production delay) ;)
  3. I watched your trackfiles and I have to say: your tactics looks too chaotic and with much risk too. Don’t expect a kill in 1on2 with an ER (you don’t have time) Still with risk but you can take these 2 mig-23’s easy (you have all the advantage with your Uber Su-27). My tips: keep it simple and use your advantage! PS. My track included: http://users.belgacom.net/gc363831/fc/er_tactic_on_2_mig23.zip
  4. Anyway, once that EL/M-2052 AESA radar is installed on that Mig even the eurofighter would be in serious trouble. I guess even the raptor would have a hard time with engaging multiple 35’s. ;)
  5. Actually the MIG-35 is more Advanced than Sukhoi-30MKI - Mr. Sergei Chemezov: http://www.aeroindianews.com/rosoboronexport_interview.htm The Mig-35's 3DTVC : The Mig-35's new radar : The 250 kg NIIP Bars-29 'Barsik' is a development of the original Bars-30MKI, intended for the MiG-29. With a relatively low power output of 1 kW, the radar can detect a 5 sq.m RCS target at 100-120 km, lock on to the same at 85 km. The radar can track-while-scan 15 targets and engage 4 of them simultaneously. As with the original, this set combines electronic scanning with a mechanical drive. Elta's latest EL/M-2052 AESA radar at Aero India. A prototype set has been fabricated and is being installed on a fighter for testing. If successful, this radar could kill just about every other set in the world, in terms of exportability and capability. As expected, a ridiculously high tracking capability of 64 targets, is given. In the air-to-sea mode, the radar is supposed to acquire and track surface targets up to 160 nm away. There are over 1500 T/R modules in this antenna aperture The Mig-35's cockpit ? : :pilotfly:
  6. I think these (new?) mig-35-frames have a special coat too (I can’t spot any rivet!)
  7. 12 raptors for 300 mig-21’s or 25 for each raptor. I guess they have to come back about 3 times ;) No seriously, nukes can hurt! :bomb:
  8. So Cosmonaut that was you who slept with my wife last year! Because you are also a heroic su-33 pilot I will overlook this for once :D
  9. The only mod I do use is some offline loping (xml-edits) and the use of many high definition skins of course together with my custom cougar profile! ;)
  10. A happy and healthy new year for all of you! :yay: :yay: :pilotfly:
  11. What part did you not understand? The 212 is said to be vibration-free, extremely silent and virtually undetectable and can stay submerged for up to three weeks without surfacing and with no exhaust heat. In simple words it can approach the latest USS Texas (SSN-775) in fire range being undetectable and destroy it with his 12 torpedoes (in 2 foward-pointing groups of 3) 6 x 533 mm torpedo tubes. (Of course both ships are in the same NATO-team :D )
  12. "Shkval 2" is guidable He He… How many times did you repeated the speed of the Almighty F-22 :D Anyway, a Canadian spy bought/*ugh* stole *ugh* the technology from Russia! BTW, were you a Canadian D-Scythe? :D
  13. About more than 2 times faster you mean! VA-111 Shkval - Original variant; believed to be unguided (or perhaps tracking but not very maneuverable) "Shkval 2" - Current variant; believed to be guided, possibly via the use of vectored thrust, and with much longer range
  14. Ok but my guess is the 212 can go deeper! Anyway Official depth for the 212: over 250m Range: 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km) at 8 knots (15 km/h) surfaced Endurance: 3 weeks without snorkeling, 12 weeks overall. Official depth of the USS Texas (SSN-775): over 244m A funny story about the USS Texas torpedo’s: A new torpedo “Barracuda” is still under development for the SSN-775. The technology was stolen from the VA-111 Shkval original model which is still the most dangerous thread for all navy-ships. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VA-111_Shkval_torpedo
  15. There is also a documentary on National Geographic channel about the USS Texas (SSN-775) and the German 212. The German Type 212 is an advanced design of non-nuclear submarine developed by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft AG (HDW) for the German Navy. It features diesel propulsion with an air-independent propulsion (AIP) system using Siemens polymer electrolyte module (PEM) hydrogen fuel cells. The submarine can operate at high speed on diesel power or switch to the AIP system for silent slow cruising, staying submerged for up to three weeks without surfacing and with no exhaust heat. The 212 is also said to be vibration-free, extremely silent and virtually undetectable. HDW is the first shipyard in the world to offer a fuel cell propulsion system ready for series production. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_212_submarine the Type 212 is capable of operating in as little as 20 metres of water, allowing it to come much closer to shore than most contemporary submarines. This gives it an advantage in rescue operations, as SCUBA-equipped commandos operating from the boat can surface close to the beach and execute their mission more quickly and with less effort. To stay on topic again: How about anti-submarine helicopters in BS? :D
  16. Interesting! Now we can change lope in online game :D
  17. Taking off with AB is also standard procedure for noobs :D… The most powerful jet engine of any fighter? Ok, but having 2 is always better and more powerful…
  18. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for all of You :holiday:
  19. The Rafale, eurofighter, Su-37 and F-22 have an airframe surface made up of more than 70% Carbon firbe composites. Even the engines are made smaller and stronger because of the use of Carbon firbe composites. Advantages: - 20% lighter / 50% stronger / smaller RCS / "radar absorbing material (RAM)" improves stealth cap. Desadvantage: More expensive This is not the case with the F-15 / F-16 ;)
  20. Here is a computed simulated BVR combat rating: Typhoon: 82% Rafale: 50% http://www.eurofighter-typhoon.co.uk/Eurofighter/tech.php
  21. With my last attempt I went under 25 minutes! Anyway I made a nice flameout landing with the Su-27. PS. Accelerate the track-file ctrl-q (or ctrl-a) Back to normal speed shift-q (or shift-a) http://users.belgacom.net/VandenHaute/fc/flameout_landing.zip
  22. Anyway I get off cheaply with light subscription with Belgacom (about € 29/Month) For lockon it covers lockon settings which requires 128/128 speed setting (not for hosting of course). I wonder how much you guys pay for your monthly connection.
  23. I can well imagine it: Pilot1: “Locked Bandit of blue team OK” Pilot1: “Fox 3 Ok” Pilot1: “One Japanese F-15J destroyed OK” Wing commander: “WTF, Get the f*ck back here you m*ther-f*cker” Pilot1: “OK” :D
  24. LOL :D Anyway I stay with the original model
  25. Indeed it was combat range for the 22. The USAF has officially said that the (clean configuration) ferry range of the F-22 raptor is 1,499 nm/ 2.776 km, a Specific Range of 0.082 nm/lb at Mach 0.8 with 2,500 lbs recovery fuel would give this ability. With drop tanks at Mach 0.9 the range would be 2,700nm+ / 5.000 km+.
