1. Vista needs double the amount of Ram of XP for doing the same stuff. (count 2048Mb Ram as the minimum anyway for Vista)
2. Simple online su-27 vs F-15C tactic guide: First of all you need to guess ranges only with reading your RWR. 1 vs 1 engagement? No, then don’t engage and get out there (try to find 1on1) Yes, when range is about 50-60 then not yet burn-through (ECM on) You can override and fire 1st ER HOJ (range about 40-50) to force enemy not to approach you straight. Range about 30-40: F-pole (use left or right radar limit corner but keep lock) and use the other 3 ER’s to get his nose away from you! (Keep doing this) If you have burn-through make sure that you turn ECM off and you can start to chaf. At the end you can kill the bastard with your ET’s. Shortly: You have 4 ER’s to put him in defense and you have 2 killer missiles (R27 ET) to finish him (Don’t expect an ER kill) . A variant is to approach him with your radar off and use the surprise element but this tactic is trickier! Another tip: Just go for 1 kill. Return to base and reload for another kill!
3. This is not mine but anyway I am disappointed because 4099 is only 1025 effective in lockon in single core (4099/4)
4. Ok, this is just my desk: http://users.belgacom.net/gc363831/foto/bureau.JPG ;) Find here my girlfriend on my desktop: http://users.belgacom.net/gc363831/foto/desktop.JPG :D
5. You mean like this:
6. In reality F-16A MLU (Aim-9X/Aim-120C) is the same level as a F-16C Blk.52. Performance of the F100 (used in the Belgium F-16A/B) is today comparable with the F110-132 engine being developed by General Electric, which produces 145kN of thrust or 32000 pounds of thrust.;)
7. I mean while using a-pole tactic the missile could reach the target which was in 85nm range. Of course a missile can not go active at 85nm range. Source: http://www.Eurofighter.com and Vympel (Russia) and Soyuz Design Bureau in Turayevo near Moscow!
8. I mean Europe and Russia already develop ramjet missiles. Meteor ramjet was already successfully tested and is near to production phase. Russia their R-77M scramjet test model in mid 90s was a metre long accelerated by rocket to mach5 and 30000m the scramjet burned for 133secs and accelerated the missile from m5 to m6 before hitting the ground 180km downrange. For a period Vympel was marketing a 150km-range ramjet-powered R-77M-PD. A ramjet powered version was reportedly flight tested in 1995. The R-77M is already in test and has been quoted as having an a-pole range in excess of 85nm (155km). The N-011M/R-77M weapon system has been credited with being able to attack any aircraft with RCS larger than 1.5 square metres from a distance of 80nm (148km), the R-77M (the missile is twice the weight of an AIM-120B, and has greater G capabilities) Of course there was also a rumour that a black aim-120-Ramjet version was tested during the 1st gulf war but later it appears that it was all BS.
9. The only country with Ramjet missiles AA or AG on paper is the US. My 2 cents…. Plaaf (China) already have their reversed engineering version.
10. The latest R-77 missile has practically the same dual propulsion system as the Kh-31P (rocket/ramjet). The Kh-31 features a unique dual propulsion system designed by the Soyuz Design Bureau in Turayevo near Moscow. First the missile is accelerated by its solid-fuel rocket engine to a speed of Mach 1.8, then the engine is discarded and the interior of the missile is converted into the combustion chamber of the missile's jet engine. The latter accelerates the missile to a speed of almost Mach 4.5, while four air intake holes on the sides of the missile body open up. I'd rather be in an R-77 armed Fulcrum than in a AMRAAM armed F-16 or F/A-18. :D My 2 cents....
11. GG, I have a question for you: What would be the outcome of a Raptor F-22 versus Raptor F-22 BVR fight? I guess spamming a lot of AMRAAMS and no kills! :)
12. Flyable F-18C would be a major add-on. The CVN-70 is now just a nice-looking target and a toy for the AI. Think of realistic carrier battles. This would result in better online balance with realistic war scenarios (Not all the time Red vs. Red but real Blue vs. Red air war scenarios). The map just asks for naval warfare (+60% of the map is water). I like the F-16 and the Mirage too but considering these arguments the F-18C is the best option.
13. Awesome skin … Any chance there will be a Su-27 version too?
14. Do you want a real power OC CPU test? How fast can you get a depth 20 in chess? Core 2 Duo dominates the Chess game but single cores are not blown away! http://www.chessexchange.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12898&sid=bf7b00c42ad04a5aa718c5f34af90034 I came up with this test because chess is the only game that can take advantage of dual core with 100% (2X speed of 1 core) and it is all about CPU like with flight sims.
15. It will not be a lomac su-33 but one loaded with R-77 anyway. :D
16. China rules the Belgium soccer competition, that is for sure.:D About the Su-33 subject again! I don’t think that China has a suitable carrier that is ready for any su-33, right?
17. This time I have to agree completely with you Pilotasso :D
18. Check the votes made in the UN ;) .
19. Not only is China a nation that has nuclear power, it is together with Russia and the US a nation who actually have got humans in space. BTW, China is an untouchable nation because it simply is an allied nation with Russia like the same way Europe is an (untouchable) allied nation of the US.
20. Wow, I had no idea! Very well done! I can’t wait to see Bill & John in action playing with some "Black Helicopters…"
21. Gelukkige verjaardag GA :holiday:
22. Only 5 mig-29As were shot down while being airborne. The rest was crushed on the ground! But your conclusion still is: “MIGs suck” No comment! BTW GG, trail formation is used when you have number advantage over your opponent. Indeed, the first one shoots and run (call it 1on1) The 2nd one shoots and run (if the first one missed or had no proper lock) The 3th one shoots and run (for you it is again 1on1 of course) And so on and on … Ladder formation is a variant on trail formation but even more difficult for the enemy because of difference in altitude and range.
23. Internetlinks from before 2004 were gone together with my Compaq Pentium 4. Lucky for me that I made a little backup of my stuff. Original links were lost but here you got anyway one copy of the many original sources: http://home.wanadoo.nl/tcc/balkan/allfor_forces.html
24. Find here the 509th Bomb Wing during Operation AF 6 B-2 Spirit Bombardier lourd Whiteman (USA) ? 36 F-15E Strike Eagle (Balikesir) 18 F-16C/J (Bandirma) 9 KC-135 Stratotanker (Corlu) 36 F-15E Strike Eagle 12 F-16C/J 20 KC-135 Stratotanker About the US F-16’s in AF US F-16 in AF: # 180 * 31st Air Expeditionary Wing: 48 F-16C Fighting Falcon (Aviano) 78 F-16C/J Fighting Falcon (Aviano) (32 EA-6B Prowler) * 48th Air Expeditionary Wing: 24 F-16C/J Fighting Falcon * 509th Bomb Wing: 18 F-16C/J (Bandirma) 12 F-16C/J Later on 18 F-16CJs were added. In the past I made an Allied Force version for Cobra one Free Falcon 3.1.x (I know about everything of this war)
25. Yes, they do: * 31st Air Expeditionary Wing: 5 F-15E Strike Eagle (Aviano) * 48th Air Expeditionary Wing: 6 F-15C Eagle (RAF Lakenheath) 20 F-15C Eagle (Cervia-San Giorgio) 20 F-15E Eagle (Aviano) * 509th Bomb Wing: 36 F-15E Strike Eagle (Balikesir) 36 F-15E Strike Eagle (Bandirma?)
