  1. You mentioning the use of a modifier made me think about a change i made yesterday to my controller setup which i didn't test anymore after implementing. Forgot about that when i tried some stuff today, it messed up my TARGET script.
  2. Situation: - Cursor deadzones set to 3 to avoid stuck cursor. - Pilot seat: cursor moves on and between both MFD's - CPG seat: cursor moves on and between both MFD's. - Switch to TADS: cursor moves TADS image around. But how do i get the cursor to move again on the MFD's after i stop using it on the TADS? If i switch to pilot seat again, there it works fine, back to CPG seat, no cursor movement on the MFD's. I can switch the cursors position from one MFD to the other but can't move it around (deadzone = 3). If i activate TADS again, TADS image will move again if i deactivate it (like by switching to the HMS), no cursor movement on the MFD's
  3. It removes the TADS overlay alright but it also stops you from you being able to slew the TADS around. So....?
  4. I'm having quite a bit of problem with the controller inputs when switching between pilot and CP/G (and back). Pilot: controls move according to my controllers input. I'll take the collective as an example, let's say that during flight as pilot in control, i put the collective at 70% CP/G: he has also a collective/cyclic to fly the helicopter (but i never managed to get those to control the heli yet, if possible...how ? (inputs are correctly set in the control assignment and match the pilot ones but then never move or do anything). Situation: - Pilot's collective input = 70% - Move to CP/G seat: Apache starts to fly on what inputs now when i have NOT messed with the AI helper? - AI has changed the collective input (based on what command?) while i'm on the CP/G seat. - Switching back to pilot seat and then things get messy controller wise since the collective has moved in the sim but not in my real world. If the difference is hugh, the Apache can become uncontrollable at this point. This problem occurs while trying to simulate a plane with 2 operators by only one person. I also don't understand why the CP/G needs to communicate through the AI helper with the pilot control causing control input problems when switching back to the pilot seat (because of mismatch inputs between sim and reality). Solution for me is the give CP/G full control through collective/cyclic to fly the heli instead of the AI helper. When doing this there is no input difference when switching between seats. And AI helper controls need to be put on the HOCAS to somehow for easy control (and certainly in VR) so why not give control to the CP/G HOCAS instead to fly and heli?
  5. From the beginning i never understood what was mend by acquisition source. When i saw the title of this topic, i thought... finally. But after reading through this topic, it's getting even worse...
  6. 2: When in the OFF position, buttons 29 and 30 are activated. You can use the function "MapkeyR" to detect the button states 29 and 30 have reversed.
  7. Dedicated VR subforum here as well: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/302-virtual-reality/
  8. I never said it isn't right, how the hell should i even know, never seen an Apache in real live, let alone sit in one. I just said it annoyed me (because i find it distracting).
  9. This reflection is a thing that annoys me the most in VR. It isn't there in 2D or at least not that pronounced. In VR it's like i always have a little mirror in the lower right corner of my right eye.
  10. Calibration OK?
  11. @Flappie: did you hear anything back yet about this issue?
  12. Even if you download a 3th user profile, you still have to learn how it works, what button, switch does what etc... Different aircraft then might have a complete different setup, as in real life, but maybe it's easier to profile all combined stuff always on the same buttons/switches for easy learning and remembering. Making your own profile isn't that hard, nor has it to be finished from the first time, just profile the stuff you need and then add stuff as you go along.
  13. My OpenBeta metashader2 (all lower case but who the F* cares about that winghunter) folder has a dozen of so files in it right now, the stable version only just one (both OB and stable are on the same version). But i've seen this folder being empty a few times already, files not deleted by me so i wouldn't worry about it. My DCS just runs fine with files in it or with the folder empty. I used to delete them together with the fxo folder because it was mentioned here on the forum as THE solution to stutter and performance. But for me it never made any difference at all and i stopped deleting them on updates quite some time ago.
  14. Before i got me a Virpil WarBRD base to replace the Warthog base i got me a green Sajah spring. When the springs are changed and the job is done, everything can be put together come orginal, no worries there (so the outher cover will get back installed). But... although much better then the original spring, Sajah's green spring didn't cut it for me, hence the change to a Virpil base and i use that on the original Warthog base plate, much more stable then the Virpil one which is made for their much lighter stick. I just drilled 4 extra holes for the Virpil base which will cover the original holes so it looks as clean as it was before.
  15. There is really no need to get a new stick to replace the Warthog stick/base. Just (if financially possible of course) get a Virpil base (WarBRD will do just fine), mount the heavier spring set that comes with it and you will be a happy camper. On a plus note, the Virpil base will be performing way better you will never return to the Warthog base. And on an extra plus note, if you happen to use Target GUI or Script to program your Warthog, you can rename the Virpil base so the TM software still thinks it's a TM based that is attached. So no need to do redo all your programming.
  16. But they should move your view, those commands (and the forward / backward ones) works fine here so something is off on your side.
  17. No unofficial mods installed. But i found the problem: Subtitles option was turned off...
  18. Somehow i lost the JTAC response text that got (get's) displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. When the JTAC responses, i get a brief message telling me what radio he is on and which JTAC it is (Hammer in this case) but then when he starts to talk, i have no text anymore to follow. The entire 9Line used to be displayed in the past, now...nothing anymore. Is this a setting somewhere?
  19. You can experiment and see for your self, otherwise, just check youtube on how other planes look like through the HUD.
  20. Yeah that's the drawback of getting older...
  21. Latest PhysX update: 08/03/2019 (almost 3 years ago). https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/physx/physx-9-19-0218-driver/
  22. I guess that's an over estimated guess...
  23. Exactly my experience as well. Locking at 120FPS also works if you can keep it that high all the time ofcourse. The stutter is more and more visible the more you wander from the 60 FPS treshhold. Looking directly in the direction of motion the microstutter isn't really visible but it's mostly visible looking at a 90° angly to the direction of the motion. The faster you move the more visible it will become. The moment you pause TrackIR the microstutter is gone. And no, a G-Sync monitor will NOT help in this case (i have one).
  24. Custom + PhysX (if updated). But since i'm still on a 1080ti card i don't upgrade to the latest and newest...
