  1. It wasn't sarcastic, believe me.
  2. So @Why485 is responsible for what we have now from DCS 2.9? If this is true, it changes things and there is something to discuss for sure!
  3. We are talking here about the official release of DCS and the current version of what DCS represents. Not about mods, correct? Mods related to the gameplay itself are not of interest to me, because some people may have them and others may not, and this has a significant impact on the gameplay, especially online. So thanks but no. If the mod became an official part, why not, but for now let's talk about what we have in DCS. I can prepare a track, no problem if it helps for you. Regards!
  4. Beware of DFR / Quad views over cities. This causes CPU clogging, which is good at the beginning, but FPS becomes worse over time. This is described by mbuccia himself. I don't recommend this in DCS. Its a separate topic about Quad view. Maybe this 22.02 solved this issue for DCS. Before it was present.
  5. Very nice update, thanks a lot! I'm glad something started happening finally. This means that there may also be a chance for Kiowa in this year!
  6. Here is screenshot from VR. Previously, everything fit in the HUD, now all the data does not fit, the symbols are much larger, the lines also have a certain. I notice that someone noticed it too in 2D but in VR is a lot more visible.
  7. Test of vegetation (forest only!): This problem is not solved still. The last patch for DSC was awsome, I see great FPS boos to terrains but even here it doesn't improve it. There is still work to be done by the authors of this map in terms of performance, even trees only.
  8. After the 22.02 update (2.9.3.51704 ) the whole DCS recived big BOOST for VR (due terrain streaming perhaps), its confirmed by many people. I can use even Marianas map (Guam!) which was previously simply unplayable for me in VR. I checked SA map again (RTX 4090, i9 13900K), and still its a problem of FPS and performance - and still its a vegation FPS issue on this map. To show it I did video, recorded direct from VR google (Quest, 72Hz, ASW off means 72FPS is a target). Currently I have absolutely no problems on any map except SA, so maps like Syria, Sinai, PG, Channel, Normandy (except maybe London and surrounding areas but we don't want to compare the forest only to buildings and the capital ok UK, do we? ) no any issue like this. The FPS issue in SA map is still present and not solved even after this patch. The test to show the problem for you was done on random area with .... forest only, the same on Caucasus map. On SA map is only good at high altitudes, there's still a big stutter near the ground due vegetation issue if the area happens to contain vegetation. I have been writing about this for a long time, giving many examples, but it has not yet been touched and fixed. In the video you can see problems with Razbam SA maps (vegetation). Worse time (17.1 vs 13.4 which gives cod efficiency by 27% compared to the Caucasus map, over a similar area), also more stutter - SA map FPS jumps from 72 to 54 FPS (visible stutter), Caucasus stable 72 FPS all the time. Also, you can check the location and the track (video was did on L-39, you need this module + SA map). DCS settings - nothing exaggerated" Request to solve this problem. test.trk
  9. It doesn't matter at all. The dot is as big as it was. You're asking about things that have no bearing on this situation. As before, first a square/black box appears, then as it gets closer, the LOD is loaded and disappears. There is no information in changelog that they touched it - so I write that it works just as bad as before. The dot that appears is the same regardless of the model, then when the LOD is loaded, it changes into a larger/smaller plane. This has already been discussed and you have examples in this topic, it's best to study it from the beginning.
  10. I have the impression that after today's patch something happened to the data displayed on the HUD, they became larger and more blurrier. I only fly in VR and it looked better before. me. Opinions?
  11. Marianas were unplayable for me in VR before, currently I have a constant 72 frames here over Guam (max for 72Hz Quest Pro, MSAAx2), amazing, before it stuttered like hell here, no any 1 FPS worse, stable! Maybe finally I will buy @Reflected campaign for Huey, I didn't take it because of the bad FPS on this map. I checked all maps and all have recived boost after Today's patch, amazing (still only the South Atlantic lags behind, unfortunately @Raz_Specter pretty please!). I think its a great update if we talk about performance.
  12. A great update that deserves praise :)! Marianas were unplayable for me in VR, currently I have a constant 72 frames here (max for 72Hz Quest Pro), amazing, before it stuttered like hell here. All maps have recived boost (still only the South Atlantic lags behind, unfortunately). Awsome! Im ready for Phantom!
  13. Btw. I see that after the update DCS MT has DLSS 3.5.0.0 version, but the last is 3.5.1.0, take it here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ (personally Im using MSAA x2). Thx for info!
  14. Yep, tested already and I see nice FPS improvements, however in the other parts of map vegetation (forests) has stil FPS issue. Thx for the update!
  15. It could be the reason for VR - improved terrain streaming. For example, over Ghaza I had 65-72FPS (72Hz, Quest) in Apache at the height of buildings and trees, and now a stable, solid 72FPS and better rendering times. I can even fly over the Mariana Islands. Nice.
  16. Nothing special , I just put myself and my opponent in the editor, 10:00.
  17. Not solved, still the dot is present after the first Unified Version patch (example of maximum range - big dot in VR still):
  18. Is just me or does it feel like there's some improved performance in VR, or is it just my placebo? VR works better after this patch (Quest P., better timeings).
  19. To be sure - we will have still SIGLE and MT, different folders and exe? Edit: ok, I see BIN and BIN-MT folder, so both exe.
  20. Take Nevada. Map is simply, it means it has better FPS so you can take care better of module, not the map, also its a real place for training too. For the beginning and the first adventure with DCS its a good idea still. Here is a place where I learn new jets :).
