  1. I have both and I prefer Nevada. Persian Gulf IMO, is only half developed. Compared to the size of the map, only the Strait of Hormuz, parts of southern Iran and a few selected parts on the coast between Dubai and Bahrain are actually populated with airfields and objects. All the rest is empty or water, despite of the illusion of the big map. IMO it was rushed out to release. The Nevada map on the other hand has more "details" all over the map despite the very low heightmap resolution.
  2. Thank you.
  3. Currently DCS AI can't go below 90ft AGL, which is quite high most of the time for helicopters and quite far from the reported tree-top and nap-of-the-earth levels. Are there going to be any improvement to that coming with this module?
  4. Ofcourse, but, as I said, IF FOR EXAMPLE, as had it before, the lasing was set to first trigger detent, and my HOTAS dont have 2 stage trigger, so lasing was MOD+Trigger. Currently the F-16 has no automatically lasing timer, so one must keep lasing until hit. Again, IF FOR EXAMPLE, for some reason, the user needs to do IF FOR EXAMPLE whatever, and this whatever isn't also a modified key assignment, then he needs to wait until he can release lasing. This, as I said, IS AN EXAMPLE of similar situations, therefore, one must avoid using modifiers as much as he can, FIRST assigning all his normal keybindings, and THEN use the modifiers as needed and as planned. You didn't even try to understand and is already jumping into conclusions. Difficult for me to even try to answer you.
  5. Agreed on the map issue and that IL-2 is better WW2. Maps should be part of the core package, which shouldnt be free. The core package, imo, should be paid a normal price $40 + version upgrades $19 (3.0, 4.0, 5.0) but comes with the maps and a few planes (FC3 planes). This way maps and the core would pay for themselves and merit development. Currently the core is neglected and the player-base divided.
  6. I guess that they not only don't care about what you want, but they also don't care about the F-16 at all.
  7. Yeah, but if JF-17 is receiving contacts from F-16 then there's something sketchy there.
  8. I think the better word and the whole point of this thread is not noob friendly but "more accessible". It's not only about new players and their steep learning curves, but also just as important, accessible to normal people with normal lives who work, have families, friends, who can't dedicate so much effort and time to learn, practice and keep proficiency, and money, to spend on video games' hardware.
  9. Sorry mate, but your comment has no base, you don't even know that VR doesnt support SLI/Crossfire... Do your research before spreading "fake myths".
  10. Already using modifiers, but I try to restrict modifiers to certain usage modes, because once modifier is pressed, everything else is modified. Let's say your hotas doesnt have a 2 stage trigger and you set your lasing to Mod+Trigger. Currently with this crazy development freeze, you have to hold lasing until bombs hit, so you hold modify throughout. If for some reason you want to zoom in or out, or whatever, then these buttons must also be assigned as modified, otherwise, while lasing you cant access them until the bombs hit. This is just an example among many others why one should avoid as much as possible to rely on modifiers.
  11. Very bumpy, +1
  12. Sorry for going off-topic.
  13. To be honest, after almost 10 years here, I would prefer instead of a new game, a new business model altogether. Instead of relying solely on pricy module sales, I'd be more than happy, perhaps even more, to pay for DCS World upgrades. 3.0 then another upgrade at 3.5, 4.0 and so on. After 10 years I can clearly see that if they need to launch so many unfinished modules and pause their development and completely neglect the core for so long just to survive, perhaps this new business would better balance things instead of releasing yet another product.
  14. Currently I dont recommend using the ACM>Bore mode, for the F-16 is only half developed and even then, most things are either wrong or missing so people are learning wrong habits.. When you enter DGFT Override, after activating radar, anything thats on the hud area gets automatically locked. Bore mode used with the Helmet display is used to selectively lock one target in a target rich environment. Holding TMS up should inhibit the radar while the egg is placed over the selected target. The other option for the current state is the vertical mode (TMS Down) which slews the radar into look up position, making it very useful when in a turning fight. The only use for the current Bore mode IMO, is with AIM-9 in Uncaged mode.
  15. Two weeks.
  16. Perhaps the thread below should be merged here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=278579
  17. Ok, I thought might had happened to you with dumb bombs. Regarding the premature lasing, I can confirm that in my case, that's not the case since the F-16 current can't auto-lase - Its manual and the bombs explode immediately after pressing wep rel.
  18. The jammer simulation will be only as good as the radar simulation. Currently, DCS radar model is pretty much a rough simplification, so in order to have any decent jammer in DCS, they should perhaps start by making a better radar model.
  19. Whatever.
