  3. The primary reason Yo-Yo recommends setting the radiators manually to OPEN during combat is as a precaution in case of battle damage where the regular becomes faulty. It's better to have them get stuck in the fully open position than closed or operating irredically and causing problems. From earlier in this thread:
  4. You can do this by using cockpit triggers in the ME to check the status of the engine RPM gauges, for example. It can be a little daunting at first if you're completely unfamiliar with the cockpit trigger system, but not that complicated once you understand the basic principles. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81376
  5. Put this together using the A-10C 1:500K TAD chart pages. The detail isn't quite good enough for detailed mission planning, but the 1:250K scale did not have all of the pages and some of them were not great anyway. Suggestions welcome. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/274488/ These are just screenshots of the map. The complete map is very large and over 70MB.
  6. DCS Theater Topographical Map (1:500K) based on A-10C TAD charts: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/274488/ These are just screenshots of the map. The complete map is very large and over 70MB.
  7. Got my extention today. Thank you! Installed and worked without a problem. However there are two issues. 1. The handle seems to have a very slight offset to the right. I would imagine this is the opposite of what most users would want and is not intended. 2. When trying to remove the two bottom screws to change the offset, one of the holes had its threads stripped. I don't think it's the only screw with this problem. If possible, I would have liked to see more durable screws/threading in the build. Nevertheless, thanks for putting this together and getting it out here quickly. It only took a few minutes to get everything fixed up and set my left offset. Now I have to build some kind of stand for it. :joystick:
  8. No, should work normally. I've been flying the P-51 with a sidewinder 2 for the last few days and it works very well for me at default input settings.
  9. Yes, feature. I think it was actually introduced in FC2.
  10. It's switching from Indicated to True airspeed.
  11. Yes, even a few years ago GLONASS coverage was more limited. In any case, though, the problems of the Russian army in 2008 were hardly limited to satnav. Communication and coordination in general was very poor. On the other hand, as the analysts indicate, they had to move fast and get as far as they could to be in the best possible position for negotiations, which they knew would happen quickly under political pressure.
  12. ...can be found here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89282 Special thanks to PeterP.

If not in your spam folder already, you can try to contact the email provider and ask if they have blocked any emails from the lockon.ru or digitalcombatsimulator.com domains.
  15. This is because the track was recorded on earlier builds and there have been changes to the FM since, so it no longer plays back correctly. We've already recorded a new track using the current model, but unfortunately it didn't make it into the 1.2.3 update. It will be included with v.1.2.4. Here is the track so you can view it manually or, if you wish, replace the old track with this one. You can find the takeoff demonstration track in \Mods\aircrafts\P-51D\Missions\EN\Training\Aircraft Operation\3. takeoff-demo.trk
  16. Yes, please continue to report bugs and issues. As you said there has been a significant expansion of DCS features recently, so we are not able to focus as much on the Ka-50 in particular, but we still need to track problems and try to get them fixed in turn.
  17. Should be officially available in version 1.2.4.
  18. I asked...
  19. For those that missed the excitement, there was a "leak" of a WIP DCS: Huey official announcement page, which had a product introduciton and a few screenshots. However the page was not yet intended to go public and was "uncovered" by one of the forum members. As we've said before, ED is currently finalizing version 1.2.3 update for DCS and the Huey is not going to be included in this release. The current plan is to move on to 1.2.4 quickly and package the Huey for that update. We are still recording voiceovers for the third party campaign to be included with DCS: Huey. Hopefully that will be completed in time to be included with the release.
  20. We can check for most of the alphanumeric indications on the MFCDs as well, including the TGP point coordinates, range, and elevation. The problem is that it has to be exact, you can't use a band of values. So if you put in a certain coordinate into the trigger, but the player is even one digit off on the MFCD, the trigger won't catch.
  21. There are only a few parameters, which were originally created to help design the interactive training. The A-10C has parameters to check the Maverick seeker mode, TGP mode.
  22. The switches of the IFF panel are defined in clickabledata.lua starting on line 687. So yes, you can check the position of these switches using the cockpit argument trigger. There is no specific TGP heading and range indication in the cockpit, so I don't think there is any way to check them in the triggers.
  23. Much better solution: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1682169&postcount=80
  24. For those who want to check the player's radio frequency selection, the A-10C and P-51D are provided with special parameters for the radios that can be checked using the COCKPIT PARAMETER EQUAL TO/COCKPIT PARAMETER IN RANGE trigger conditions. For A-10C, the parameters are: VHF_AM_FREQ VHF_FM_FREQ UHF_FREQ For P-51D: VHF_AM_FREQ The frequencies are entered in hertz, such as 131.000000, 42.250000, 255.575000. Remember, the A-10C UHF radio must be set to MNL mode to manually set frequencies. Example mission attached with A-10C radio settings checked by triggers. RADIO.miz
