How to take screenshot of in game menu?
EvilBivol-1 replied to Ramstein's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Ramstein, have you tried to simply press the PrtScn key and then hit Paste in Windows Paint as suggested above? -
Trouble with the Aerial Gunnery training
EvilBivol-1 replied to Maulkin's topic in Bugs and Problems
Do you have "Game Avionics" mode on by any chance? It should be off as it uses a separate input layer. Can you try to simply open the training mission in the Mission Editor and hit the Save icon to re-save it on your system? Wonder if that will cure it. Then try running it again out of the Training menu. -
I think one of the other issues is that a lot of players first tried it back in beta, when it was considerably more difficult to control, in particular during taxi and takeoff. A lot of posts and many first impressions were made early on that may still be affecting some users' views and reviews of the model. Personally I think it's now quite easy to handle, especially on takeoff. The only difficulty is learning the edge of your stick pull and to a lesser degree, coordinating the rudder as airspeeds change during maneuvers. The former can be a surprise and cause problems for users without a FFB device who may not see that what they are doing with their HOTAS translates into virtual stick input that a real pilot would not attempt in the cockpit.

Dear god, why make buying FC3 so difficult ?!
EvilBivol-1 replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Payment and Activation
Please keep in mind this paypal issue generated many more invalid transactions than you can see on the forum here. All of these need to be verified and refunded manually by ED staff. It's just taking taking a little time to get through the list. Again, we can assure you that any money paid for something not provided will be refunded. -

EvilBivol-1 replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Payment and Activation
Again, from what we can see right now, there was a problem between sagepay and paypal that had nothing to do with us and temporarily affected other online providers. However we are still investigating to make sure there was not a problem on our end as well. At this point the sagepay-paypal issue has been resolved, so now we have to go though our recent transactions make sure all of the payments are processed correctly. We do apologize for the inconvenience and it may take a little time, but you will certainly get what you paid for from us. -

EvilBivol-1 replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Payment and Activation
Maximus_Lazarus, I'm sorry you're having trouble. The issues seems to be related to the payment security system (not ED software) and may be related to Paypal specifically. We are investigating. Your money should not be debited from the account or may at most be on hold until cleared through. If you have already opened a support ticket for the issue, that is all we can do for the moment. -

We have a Suggestion Box thread in the Forum and Site Issues forum section: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=48315, so let's use it as intended and knock off the moderation discussion and discussion of moderators in particular. Thank you.

Thanks for the short guide. However I think you've got this part backwards. "Visible" should be checked ON to enable the JTAC to "see" the target without direct LOS. Also probably worth mentioning that this applies to the FAC - Engage Group Enroute Task. There is also the option to use the FAC - Assign Group Task, in which case the JTAC should also "see" the target without direct LOS. Finally, remember that actual target visibility depends not only on LOS, but time of day (ambient lighting), sensors of the JTAC vehicle, weather, etc.

Are you sure? It seems to work without the added combat task. Here is the same mission but with the F-15s just set for Fighter Sweep and the Flankers just orbiting until fired upon. I'm not sure if you have more specific design for the mission that would require additional tasking options, but at this simple level, it seems to work as intended. ROE_broken.miz

I'm not sure if this specific issue is a bug or not, but there are probably other ways to do what you're after. Here is a modification of your mission, where the Flankers break to engage the F-15 only when those cross the shoreline, while the F-15s ignore the threat entirely and just keep flying straight and level (just to demonstrate that it's possible). After the shoot down, the Flankers return to their CAP station. I used some Triggered Actions in there. ROE_broken.miz

GAU-8/A & Rocket training - Blocked at DSMS
EvilBivol-1 replied to sterfield's topic in Mission and Campaigns
Glad that it worked. :) You are right, it would be a good idea to have a check of the landing gear after takeoff. Unfortunately changing the training missions can be difficult after a certain point, especially if it requires recording new voiceover lines. -
How to play a sound when a given frequency is tuned?
EvilBivol-1 replied to BaD CrC's topic in Mission Editor
The twofrequencies mission worked correctly in both singleplayer and as host in multiplayer. Heard both ATIS and TWR transmissions. Unable to test as client at the moment. -

It sounds like you are experiencing line of sight limiations, especially if you are testing at ground level. Did you try it at altitude, so you are well above of the hills in the area? I'm not sure why adding more messages to other frequences would cause a problem. If you like, you can attach the mission here and I can take a look at it. -

EvilBivol-1 replied to BaD CrC's topic in Mission Editor
Seems to work fine using the Radio Transmission trigger for me using the current public World version. Maybe your issue was that by default the trigger sets FM mode, while the radio in the cockpit is set to AM. Or maybe the audio file format was incompatible. Example mission attached. ATIS.miz -
GAU-8/A & Rocket training - Blocked at DSMS
EvilBivol-1 replied to sterfield's topic in Mission and Campaigns
Thank you for the track. You forgot to raise the landing gear. This resulted in a LDG GEAR message on the HUD where the selected weapons stations would have been displayed otherwise. This is why the trigger was unable to check your station selection. As a side question, I noticed you flew all the way to the waypoints even through the instructor had asked to select the next waypoint and fly to it. Was this for any particular reason? P.S. You can use the file exchage to upload large files when necessary. -
The problem is that these were essentially prototypes. I doubt there is any real data to be found for them as they were themselves individual developmental platforms, not finalized or produced to any kind of standard. ED would likely have to imagine most of the avionics for these versions.
