  1. Cz skin pls ? :prop: http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/data/4470/Bild606.jpg
  2. Of course. What I meant was to put everything in "Aircraft", delete "Aircrafts" and then make link "Aircrafts"->"Aircraft". This way it will be in the correct new location but whatever mod tool or whatnot you guys are using wants to access "Aircrafts" will still find the data in this location through the link. This workaround will work for sure.
  3. About the whole dir thing. Why dont you guys make yourselves a symbolic link : (if needed move stuff from Aircrafts to Aircraft first and remove the empty dir) mklink /D "<path to Aircraft>" "<path to Aircrafts>" Problem solved, or no?
  4. Wow, ED upgraded upload speed for their update server or what ? My download rate in auto updater just peaked at 14.8 MB/s - so far I was used to 300 kB/s with auto updater so I always downloaded the torrent and did complete reinstall. Not anymore. Very nice! edit: and MiG 21 is released 1 day ahead of schedule ? Very cool! :-)
  5. Quick question (yep I didn't read all 24 pages so sorry if it was already answered:-)) : Will it be sold via ED store or via LN store ? And if via LN store do you guys accept paypal payments ? I try to limit the number of websites where I use my credit card to minimum and prefer paypal payment if possible.
  6. ;) Yeah I hope you're right. We will see once it's out.
  7. That's not the point. Most of us exceed recommended specs now. The thing is that I like to populate my missions with lots of units all over the place (with scripts it's quite easy to do) but once you get over 100 the game just gets slow because it's just too much for the one core going red hot while the rest is idling. I was under the impression that this is going to change in edge and one of the huge benefits of creating a brand new modern engine will be the ability to take advantage of modern multicore cpus properly. It would be a shame if it weren't the case. :(
  8. Nice newsletter however one thing is missing from the 2.0 features list that I thought would be implemented in edge and that is proper multicore support. No word about that elsewhere (I wasn't reading the forums for some time now) ?
  9. Finally some news ! (published this week) : http://www.x-plane.com/2014/07/x-plane-10-is-coming-to-steam/ Day one buy for me :-)
  10. Probably a silly noobish question, but since the thread is opened already : I tried to dogfight a friend of mine in his Su27 with my F15 several times (spawn head on, guns only) and I always pretty much get my ass kicked. He always wins about 2:1. I checked the fights afterwards in tacview where I can see that even when I'm trying to stay at my corner he's just able to pull much tighter turns and is always able to get behind my back more easily (and he's by no means an ace pilot either:-)) I don't quite understand what to do in such situation. What other option then turning fight I have (other than run away) ? I read somewhere (probably here:)) that F15 is an "energy fighter" - how does that work ?
  11. I'm sorry for being a bit OT here but this caught my attention because I'm doing exactly the same thing at this very moment. Why would you not go for Z97 instead ? To me it seems like a better choice for gaming PC mainly because of the CPU OC support.
  12. The Sus are actually quite fun to fly. Both su25 and su25t have AFM and also the good thing is that you don't have to fiddle around with computers and all that stuff (especially su25) - you just fly them which is a joy. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you ;) You have to understand that "soon" has a rather special meaning around here  Still, the F15C is fun to fly and it's a completely different beast than those air-to-dirt planes :-) Don't worry. Sales are going on every 3 months or so. I would get the whole FC3 package if I were you (in fact I did:-)). It's not really expensive anyway (when on sale it's like $25) and I don't think you're going to regret it.
  13. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122801 About the FC3 - I think it's worth it. Even with simplified systems the F15C is still fun to fly :-)
  14. Download DCS World and A10C + BS2 modules from here : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/ Your keys will work to activate it. The original standalone A10C and BS2 is quite outdated now - everything plugs into DCS World nowdays. And you get Su25T and the trainer p51 as free bonus with dcs world. DCS World Overview :
  15. It's not that bad. I got the X52 pro stick and the only thing I press on keyboard is gear, flaps and radios. There are not so much controls in the FC3. I fly also the Su-25 and that one is even easier to setup. btw the su25(a) is quite fun to fly :-)
  16. I think it was mentioned somewhere that takeoff trim is currently bugged - that's probably what's causing your pitch problems. I don't recall reading any patch notes mentioning fix of this issue.
  17. I have the GTX760 and I can recommend it. It's a good value for the money and DCS (as well as all other games) work really nice with it. I'm able to play DCS with all graphics settings on max. The real bottleneck is the single core (technically dual core) engine that DCS is now using. When there are lots of units in the mission (100+ for me) the FPS goes down somewhat. To solve that we have to wait and hope that EDGE when it comes out utilizes multicore cpus properly (never seen an official confirmation of this though but maybe I missed it). edit : So at the moment for top performance you need mainly good cpu, ideally overclocked so you get max performance out of that single core. But by no means you have to buy a whole new PC to enjoy DCS. Until recently I used to play DCS on old core 2 quad Q9400 and GTX285. You just need to tune down the graphics to medium-low and play smaller missions with only small amount of units (<50). I got nice fps with that old pc (MUCH better and MUCH more stable than FSX for example) - got it capped on 30 and it was fine. edit2 : also some modules are more demanding than others. fc3 modules run smoother than a10c for example.
  18. Yeah, I'm planning to do the same. Even though I backed it already I will buy it again for sure. Looks like it's going to be well worth the money and hopefully LN is going to make more modules in the future! About the update: Looks amazing! Can't wait for the release. I'm going to have to take a vacation when it comes out :pilotfly::)
  19. There is also F4 in DCS World but only available for some countries - Turkey, Germany for example.
  20. I would suggest first to calibrate your stick and second go to control options, in the dropdown menus select your aircraft of choice and axis commands for that aircraft, select pitch axis for example and click the axis tune button at the bottom of the window - there you can increase the curvature of the axis - ie. non-linearity which is very useful because you will gain more precision around the center position. I would suggest about 10-30 curvature, depending on your hardware and personal prefences. Also if you have lower quality stick that tends to generate unwanted jitter around the center you can enable a little deadzone as well - 2-5 should be enough. I think I used about 25 curve and 3 deadzone on my old logitech 3d pro stick and it was alright. Do this for elevators, ailerons and rudder - it helps a lot. found this tutorial for you: http://server.3rd-wing.net/public/Manuels%20DCS/DCS%20World%20Input%20Controller%20Walk%20Through%20EN.pdf PS: Trim, trim, trim!
  21. It's a lot more realistic than the SFM that used to be there in 127-. Sure it's still in beta so tweaks are to be expected but the main thing about AFM/PFM - dynamically calculated behaviour is there. The aircraft just "feels alive" as opposed to the static modeling of the SFM that we used to have. It's actually pretty amazing - the new flight model IS a huge improvement over the old one, no question about that.
  22. The lack on campaign doesn't really bother me that much. As joey said we will need to learn it first :-) but it would be cool if we could get something like an F4 as AI unit in the release - having this I would have fun with it and ME for months to come :-) edit : doh! I just double checked and there already is f4e in dcs ... then I'm all set :-)

    ATC?

^^ This. I pretty much ignore the ATC completely nowdays.
  24. Too bad, he deserves it! I'm very happy with my throttle now :-)
