  1. Just to report back, I added the regedit DWORD as suggested above and I also removed the small OC I had on my card which actually stoped the errors in the DCS log and prevented any further crashing. thanks for all your help
  2. While not a fix, I use Taz’s better trees (low version) not only do I get a bit better performance but it also stops that awful tree popping you get with the default trees on the caucus map. He’s also done ones for Syria. ED should just adopt these trees as default, the texture size is reduce by a good amount and they look vastly better to my eyes.
  3. Although not a fix but a way to help mitigate this issue would be to shorten the search time by having the Multiplayer server browser actually remember filter settings. I have my favourite’s marked and checked but I still have to wait for the whole list to load in the background before they show up. It would be handy to reduce that time down by having the filters apply before the search initiates.
  4. @silverdevil Thanks, i did a repair and it seems to have fixed the issues with the IC. so far its holding up. I also had a very mild overclock on the GPU so i removed it as per the FAQs. ill report back soon.
  5. Latest Crash same issues with manual page file set. dcs.log dcs.log-20230129-191556.zip
  6. As the title says, getting a lot of crashing in VR using either OpenXR or standard non OpenXR shortcuts. Seen a few posts of others having the same issues. Its not my hardware and i only just started happening since enabling OpenXR. Once disabled i seem to be getting the same crashes. dcs.log-20230129-181645.zip dcs.log
  7. That’s a little disrespectful don’t you think, ED and the community put in a lot of time and effort into DCS and if you had/have been playing this sim for a long time then you would appreciate just how far it has come. Be part of the solution not the problem
  8. It’s a Shame none of this works in VR for the Nvidia panel.. Using external program’s to solve something that could be done with a few in game sliders would be far more user friendly and useful to all.
  9. The star’s also need to have variation in brightness not only in size which also makes things look a little weird. But to the point your making, I think that it would be awesome to have more stellar object’s, who knows maybe even a feint shooting star every now and then, (maybe a few more through October and November). Not seen this done with any other simulation before, might be nice to have with more of these desert maps coming
  10. Stick it in the wish list maybe as an idea to add as an axis?
  11. I noticed I had the same issues when I was on our server today, 3 fully crewed apaches already flying and I couldn’t start either engines fully. after a few restarts with no luck I extended the collective fully and then right down. Restarted the engine sequence and they fired straight up. not sure if this was coincidence or if this fixed the issue but previous to this I’ve not had any issues..
  12. Your welcome mate, glad I could help. one thing to remember though do your adjustments before you boresight the HMD.
  13. Are you holding or tapping the buttons? I use an encoder so it send a press command every click. Make sure you are simply not holding the button down, instead click multiple times.
  14. I suggest you use the search option and put in the following: DAP this will bring up all mappable axis, but you can find them all under Display Adjust Panel.
  15. You need to save each column for how ever many peripherals you use, I would suggest creating a folder for each module and save in there. I have 4 devices connected and I save using the module and then the device name, so I save 4 times for each module…it’s a PIA but the only way to not end up with duplicate key binds.
  16. You have options in the key-binds that allow you to adjust vertically and horizontally as well as towards and away. I use the towards and away on a rotary encoder. Why this was never mentioned in the patch notes is a little puzzling, it was added 3-5 updates ago possibly more.
  17. I don't want get off topic but just to add if you then set the headset to 45hz in the OTT (not the profile) this can also help
  18. Yes, but I have the hangers from 2.7, are you saying that you still have the new ones after the patch?
  19. The hardened aircraft shelters at all the air bases in the caucuses….
  20. At least they removed those hangers and replaced them with the original ones, I was having huge FPS hits around the airfields with them.
  21. For the rift s using the OTT I set a profile for DCS and set the desktop resolution to 800x600 (only accessible as an option throught creating a profile) and then set ASW to 30hz. This gives a cap of 27FPS in game but the frame times are alot lower giving an extremely smooth experience. I'm not sure chasing higher FPS in certain circumstances is the solution. There may be more here to do with the headsets and not just FPS.
  22. If this going to be a permanent feature for DCS 2.8 then can we have an option to turn off please..
  23. Why not have metric above and imperial below the line just to expand on solving the problem.
  24. Guess the interior has been updated, possibly for the BS3? That is blatantly different for sure.
