Hm, I disagree. What was wrong with asking for some return to update and integrate an older module? Would you say the same thing about FC2/3? Especially with FC3 ED has provided massive updates to those who bought it when there was no F-15 AFM and only F-15 6DOF. And aren´t two birds in the bush worth more than none, or wait...? Did I get this right? ;)

Agree. Sueing RRG wouldn´t yield any benefit, financial or otherwise, for anyone. It seems to me that an upgrade system for certain items would perhaps be an attractive option for many people here and might further help with monetization. Just a thought... I´d pay another 20$ to get into the Normandy alpha.

I´m quite happy with the new reward system and at this point I´m certainly willing to just let the past be the past. The four aircraft I am most interested in (P-51, 190, 109, Spitfire) at a reasonable price plus alpha access and the map... I´m only slightly missing alpha access to the map itself. Considering that I chipped in @ 95$ for BoS where I basically care only about 2 or 3 aircraft, I already know that I´ll get at least the same value for my money in DCS. As I see it, I´ll also have a second P-51 key that I can give to a friend. Right? Nice, but a little vague still...

It would be nice to have an update on their decision in the near future. Wags initially said they might have something to share in the July newsletter, but that didn´t happen. I guess it will be before Aug 5th anyway, since that´s when the keys for backers will have to be issued at the latest... EDIT: OMG, fail. They posted it just last night :doh: I thought this was still the June update-thread...

It is exactly like a contract. It made me feel itchy every time a read people talk about "promises" before and after the "crash". They simply downplay the seriousness of this issue. It is explicitly not a verbal agreement between friends. I am not saying this to point at ED and ask anything from them. Generally, I just want to say that my trust has been damaged to the point where I am not going to support such projects up front for quite a while.

We´ll have to see when ED adresses this and if the new maps will change any of that behaviour. It´s been reported.

1440p runs pretty well on my system with details maxed (no mirrors and disp. res. 512), although with DCS being what it is, I usually get FPS around 50-60, but it can drop sown to 25 with too much smoke or other crap in the frame. Let´s see what changes will come with EDGE... My specs are not that different from yours: i7 2600K (no OC) 8GB RAM 780Ti 3GB Generally I would recommend a larger display with better resolution, even if you might have to turn off some eye candy. The overall immersion is much better in my experience. Waiting for 4K or OR might be a viable option, too. ;)

If it´s just a quick video how about showing off the whole cockpit and exterior with slow panning views so we can suck in all the details and animations? Otherwise I´d personally love to see some startup and radar operation. :)

I would second that request. Wags also gave us the Fw-190 manual even though it was clearly WIP. That´s gotta be a good reason, right? ;) Seriously, I would love to have a chance to get into the manual beforehand because it seems that the MiG-21 will be rather complex and I´m absolutely unfamiliar with it.

Try to stay reasonable for a little longer. It´s really not worth getting upset when the release is not that far away anymore. Is the situation ideal? Certainly not, but anger and rage rarely accomplish anything good.

I´m surprised you poeple actually managed to watch the whole game. I turned it off during the first half and checked back every couple of minutes towards the end... Don´t have the feeling that I missed anything.

The last newsletter was released on June 27th and contained no information about any of this.

It´s a bit strange though that the Dora already has a fixed date in August while the F-86 still hasn´t got one in July. There may be many different reasons for that (same as with the LN MiG-21 integration), but I expect it to be released not before August 5th. Just managing my expectiations...
