For me, the real fun is doing these missions in MP, with a human RIO and human Pilot, that's the most outstanding feature of the cat in my view. Jester is OK-ish, but no substitute.

The RIO can insert new waypoints once these have been reached. So a route with 10 waypoints is entirely possible, the RIO has got some work to do. Fly over waypoint 1, set DEST to waypoint 2, change waypoint 1 to waypoint 4, fly over waypoint 2, set DEST to waypoint 3, change waypoint 2 to waypoint 5. All in all, a RIO with a small notebook can easily keep track of the route. Keep in mind that an IP, Homebase, Surface target waypoint are also possible in the F14.

Worth a shot but not with Jester, try getting a human RIO and a human AWACS and plan accordingly. The AWG-9 can be set to standby and a human rio can hook datalink targets on the TID (been there, done that), you can't fire missiles but at least get BRAA calls from the rio. Once in position, fire up the ACM and go for it :)

Also, there are videos on youtube from Jabbers detailing exactly which alignment can be used for what and how long it takes.

Perhaps Tacno from Universradio or Ciribob from SRS can help you?

Yes, pod was in A/G mode and distance less then 10nm. What I did notice that at some point the right data fields were not showing.

I was on a MP server, so the pilot was a wingmate. Laser was set to auto, bombs to manual, GBU-12 selected on the bomb selector. It's step 2 that didn't work last night, I couldn't designate an area track or point track although QDES and QSNO worked.

I'm in A/G mode, well below 25K feet. It was a bit cloudy but I could see ground features clearly. Before the hotfix, I did not have a problem with area or spot track.

I can't see the TID correctly, but you're entering E 41 48 13 and as far as I know, the system can handle only 5 numerals, leading the system to interprete your input as E 414.81.3 which it declines. Try entering E 41 48 1 and see if it accepts that.

Yesterday I was a RIO and we set out to use the LANTIRN pod to try and drop some guided bombs, GBU12s. After arming and aligning, I warmed up the pod as per instructions and once airborne, I was able to slew the camera around. However, no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the pod to area or point track. It would slew to the waypoints, snowplough and such but no matter what I tried, area track or point track did not engage. What I tried: - Slew pod to a contrast rich area, a building for example, use either a hat button or, later, a keyboard bind to area track or point track, no result. Laser was armed, the laser also worked. What I did notice was the WCS was in standby, does this need to be active? I selected the GBU12 on the weapon control panel in the RIO seat, but it didn't get the pod to area or point track. It worked before the patch, but I cannot replicate what I did to make it work. Any idea?

It's a bit of hit and miss. My flight, where I was RIO, could talk to the tanker but another flight on our server was unable to raise the same tanker with the same radio settings.

It's called doing homework and hands-on training. Tons of stuff out there, go read, go fly, go have fun.

I just tackle a pilot, keep his beer hostage and have him fly me around, works everytime.

I run DCS on 1080P, dual screen (only one for DCS) with an i5-6600K, 16Gb ram and a GTX770. I may have low settings but I run DCS fine, PS or MP (playing in a VW with a lot of pilots and units). Sure, it's slow at times but still manageable, I usually fly the Mi-8 or KA-50 or play as human JTAC. Going to upgrade to 32Gb of Ram and maybe a second-hand 1070 in due time.

No jamming, only targets were tankers. I haven't reset the WCS, next time I'll check if this does anything.

Not related to the F-14, related to DCS itself where control assignments get freezed. Try using the pull-down menu to select buttons or keys. The one remedy is to restart DCS and do a couple of bindings again before it freezes.

Known bug, they're workng on it.
