  1. Seeing the masses fly with joysticks, I think the bug will be dangling at the bottom of the bug list for a very long time.
  2. it will and the drop in main rotor RPM due to the sudden increase of AoA will result in a whole lot of other things happening and switching off. The manual has rules regarding the maximum amount of pitch change per second.
  3. It's probably just very hard to see in the sunlight.
  4. Oh god, not this guy again. All you do is post videos of nearly all ED modules while doing stunts. Great, time to move on.
  5. The first numeral of the IFF mode 3 code selector tumbler doesn't work correctly. DCS-BIOS, SRS and UR see the clicks correctly but the numeral only moves a little bit in pit. Can this be corrected?
  6. Yes, we had the same last night, helis spawning on top of each other.
  7. In theory you could use an ERBL but that's really pushing it. You'll take too long manipulating the ABRIS to get actual bearing and distance to the threat rather then react to it. It would be better to ask a human AWACS/GCI to give BRAA calls to you. What helps a bit is to memorize the bullseye position relative to where your area of operation. Yo'll be able to make guestimates about which calls are relevant and which are not. For KA50s in the wing, we always use BRAA calls to increase their SA. A Senior Director on board the AWACS will call flights of A10s and/or KA50s and have them flow to a safer area while (re)directing CAP assets to intercept the threat.
  8. Making you even better to spot by using the RWR that's equipped on most aircrafts. Seriously, the idea that, on an MP server, a KA50 can go out alone and do his merry little dance of death with Vihkrs, rockets and guns simply isn't realistic. Choose your MP server wisely, if there's no CAP flying, no Human GCI and RED AI CAP to be expected, don't even bother with joining as you'll just be missile meat. Join an online group to fly with, my wing, the 132nd, uses the KA50 to its best potential with wolfpacks of up to 4 KA50s doing CAS, Air Interdiction, Battlefield Interdiction, strikes, escort, you name it. All within the wing that provides them with JTACS, Human AWACS support, CAP, Escort, transport, human GFC and so on. The KA50 is ill equipped to face the dangers of a modern day battlefield on its own, don't go at it alone, bring friends and enjoy the module for it has a lot to give.
  9. How would you communicate your pilot bingo setting to Jester in the first place? Only the pilot can set the Bingo fuel warning. All the RIO has in the back is a fuel gauge and no means of alerting him to a Bingo fuel situation if he doesn't pay attention. So if Jester doesn't know the Bingo fuel setting, how could he warn you of the fuel level? If you have a human RIO, tell him your Bingo fuel setting and cross your fingers that he takes note of the fuel state every once in a while.
  10. Thanks Sokol, I'll shoot Rel4y a PM.
  11. Got my stuff in, will connect everything to a Leobodnar board. Will that work with the contactless sensors?
  12. Last night we were trying to lock up an S-3 tanker for target practice. We were at 15K feet, head on to the target which was at 6K feet. At around 30 - 25Nm I saw a ghost contact appear from the valid target and leave the normal radar return as a track with high speed to the right of the screen, another one spawned as well but it was short lived. This was in an MP environment, roughly 15 aircrafts with only one lag-spike due to the spawning of ground units, well before the ghost contact. Version was 45915.
  13. Was this after a take-off from the carrier ro did you take-off and land from and on land?
  14. As stated above, it's not HBs fault for the current AIM54 behaviour. ED is changing its missile parameters (and API most likely) in order to allow the Phoenix to work as it should. Once ED gives the go ahead, I'm pretty sure the HB guys will implement the correct behaviour for the Phoenix ASAP.
  15. Currently, in DCS, jamming is simpel noise jamming. You can't really do more tactics around it. It works and you're lucky or it doesn't and you need to do something else, quickly.
  16. What Quigon sees in MP server, we see on our servers but less severe. We will be running a couple of tests later on to see if we can replicate the behaviour.
  17. Had it yeasterday on our MP server flying as RIO as part of a three-ship F14B in CAP over the Persian Gulf. AI Mig29s come towards us and we engaged, shot at 45Nm, crank to the left. At time of missile employment, the targets sprouted numerous false contacts. We just believed it to be ECM but it makes correlating targets quite difficult. This was in a head-on engagement, daylight, 32000 feet, 1 human RIO and 2 Jesters. One humand failed to get a phoenix off the rail, the other two fired one AIM54 each and later another one. We did not experience noticeable lag this event, it was restricted to 30 pilots max and was not played on the latest Beta build but on the 45915 version.
  18. Would be fun to know if you're still allowed to carry rocket pods. They'd be floating beside the helicopter though.
  19. I'd settle for a command to switch on/off airbase lighting in general to begin with...
  20. Slant range isn't calculated properly most likely. You fire the missiles at a target 12km up so that's outside of the engagement bubble. Try using tacview, there you can see the "bubble" of the SAM site.
  21. You're not following proper bug reporting protocol. What is wrong? What do you experience? What do you expect? What information do you have that would back up the claim you're making? Attach a track, logs, mission, anything that will help the team. Yelling bugged, f**ked isn't going to win the argument here.
  22. I don't use DCS-Bios but what does it do (better) that the normal Streamdeck software doesn't? It doesn't have bi-directional communication so it's basically a key repeater right?
  23. Even in a limited form, just a photo camera that points down and shoots pictures when pressing button, would be highly valued by us. The Mi-8 has a gun camera that is rarely used, it just snaps screenshots when you flip a switch and squeeze the trigger. Screenshots can be found in the DCS screenshot folder. If that were to be a TARP functionality, I'd be a happy camper. It'll be low on the priority list but at least it's still there, waiting for time to be alloted.
