  1. For some reason DCS currently doesn't like some high polling rate mice in the main menu. Seems to be >500 mhz causes issues with them. Do a search around the forums and there are a number of posts on that.
  2. This issue one would have thought they should have caught for sure with beta testers playing normally. I'm reasonably proficient with the ME and it too me longer than a minute to set it all up and boot into it. If you had bothered to post a track I wouldn't have needed to. And with the details you provided it definitely wasn't clear that it happened in all aircraft/with all weapons (saying you tested this extensively is meaningless because it could have been variations on the same specific combinations of aircraft that had an issue where others might not have). It baffles my mind why people are so completely resistant to posting a track when they say they've tested it extensively. Just hit save track and post the freaking thing. Honestly it's just the polite thing to do so somebody else doesn't have to spend time recreating it. And this "yahoo" definitely won't be posting tracks for you next time when you have that attitude. The number of times people have tested stuff that's broken, but when they do post a track it's user error.....
  3. ai non defensive.trk TRACKFILE - Caucuses map. Doesn't react after missile goes pitbull, just flies straight until it takes the missile in the face.
  4. You know, the reason why you're going to get asked for a track is that that's a lot easier than messing around trying to recreate what you did. In this case: what player aircraft? What AI aircraft? What ARH A2A missile (AIM-120? Russian one?). What elevation were each at? What bearing were they at? What Advanced Waypoint settings? It saves everyone a lot of time if you take 20 seconds to save and post a track file.
  5. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but 24.5 mm is only about one inch. No way that is correct. 245 mm is just shy of 10 inches which seems more reasonable.
  6. That's probably a DCS thing then. Always challenging to track down intermittent issues.
  7. Ya, nice polished mission. Well done @jonsky7! One very minor little bug: navigator told me he closed bomb bay doors after I dropped, but I noticed the light was still lit for them being open as I was flying back across the channel.
  8. More (or less) lift generated with change in speed.
  9. You can delete the MT shortcut. Both versions are MT (actually, they are identical) now but ED has left a bin-MT folder for backwards compatibility so they don't have to deal with the support calls for the shortcut no longer working if they remove that folder. It will get removed at some point when enough people stop using it.
  10. Do you have another computer to plug it into? That seems like a hardware issue and it's DOA
  11. What problem are you having? That looks like it should be a pretty standard USB controller which should be no problem.
  12. Glad you got things working again, but if your computer crashes to restart that's a sign that something isn't right. Expanding your pagefile might have been part of the issue, but fixing that is a bandaid. Check your temps and clean any dust. Check that your drivers are up to date. DCS shouldn't be able to crash you to restart (I'm sure there is some tiny possibility, but it is extremely rare).
  13. Carrier lighting can be controlled with a trigger in game. Use the "SET CARRIER LIGHTING MODE" action. Options are: OFF, AUTO, NAVIGATION, AC LAUNCH, AC RECOVERY. This is through the mission editor. You could set it to do this at mission start or set up a radio menu trigger for it. I don't know if the radio comms for landing will override it or not. EDIT: you can also control them from the AIRBOSS slot. But you'll need to have airboss enabled in the mission and you'll need to be in the airboss slot (rather than your plane slot) to do it.
  14. Legibility of the AMPCD maps was discussed at length when the F-18 first came out. Generally the info pointed to they were crappy IRL and pilots rarely used them IIRC. It will be buried in the forums somewhere likely. I'm not opposed to custom ones if that is available in the airframe IRL.
  15. And I presume you've tried this, but if not delete the FXO and METASHADERS2 folders in your saved games folder.
  16. Yep, because, you know, ED regularly has pre-orders for planes that never get released
  17. I've seen that before and IIRC (not our server guy) it came from too many options/layers in the menu. Ended up rearranging things to get it to consistently show.
  18. Do some searching, especially in the PC hardware and software/Input devices subforum. Pretty sure this has been asked before and IIRC there is no obvious workaround, but I didn't pay that much attention.
  19. Reasonable? Probably not. Except that DCS is a niche of a niche of a niche market. So your realistic choices are that they have really slow development (because that's all they can afford since it's a pretty tiny user base) or you don't have anything. If it was easy/profitable to make something like DCS you can bet that there would be competitors (even crappy ones) in the market.
  20. That looks like a Reshade effect on the HUD.
  21. If you're getting blue screens of death with DCS you likely have deeper system issues. DCS itself will crash you out to desktop but should virtually never manage to BSOD you unless it's a windows or hardware issue.
  22. From the info, looks like 2 initially, with a 3rd planned after initial release. Presumably Pilot, Co-pilot, loadmaster. No. I would say they under-promised and over-delivered. They've said "by the end of 2025" many times. Reading between the lines on what they've posted over time, I've always assumed it was going to be sooner than that and they were making sure they didn't miss a date.
  23. Not really odd. Saves customers freaking out when they look at the European or other sites and wonder why the base retail price in the US is sooo much higher.
  24. That is actually correct as is. See here:
  25. Realistically I would be shocked if it actually came in 3.0. I'm sure they're working on it, but my guess is it's at least 3-5 years out. Given the poor reaction to the textures on Afghanistan and Iraq, that may push it back if they decide to go a different way. Who knows.
