  1. Wags never said 'a few weeks'. He said 'in the coming weeks', with no quantity mentioned.
  2. Why did you never test the buttons in the Windows control panel to determine whether they worked or not? That would have been the first thing to do when they did not work in DCS. As for the warranty, I am sure the wording indicates that it starts at date of purchase, not date of receipt.
  3. I would be very cautious doing that. Make sure the mobo is well grounded. Almost any sort of brush rubbing back and forth across those sockets is going to generate static electricity. If I ever considered doing this, which I have never had a reason to do, I would do it in an environment with a relative humidity higher than 50%. That will help keep the development of static charge to a minimum.
  4. Curious about the differences. I would love to see a side by side breakdown of the two bases.
  5. As I said in the other thread, there was no reason to create a complete model, including cockpit and avionics, just to develop a single prop flight model.
  6. If done correctly, the FOV of the mirror is a function of head position/distance from the mirror. Aside from altering that factor, there should not be any other way of changing the FOV. Basic optics here, if modeled correctly ensure that the FOV is realistic.
  7. The output of data to the instruments is important to ensure that they reflect the same data that is affecting the flight model. However, this does not require actual modeling of the instruments but merely a software environment that can capture the data that would be displayed. You don't need to model the gauge to see the data that it would be displaying. Think Helios. It is merely capturing the data. It would work whether the 3d cockpit existed or not.
  8. Actually, it will appear that you can edit it, but the end result is that the title will not be changed.
  9. Based on what? They have a total of about four employees. I would imagine that all of them are working on this aircraft. Certainly, they don't have the staff to work on the Corsair, this project and the needed fixes for the Mig-21.
  10. The Yak was announced as a privately funded project for which ED received permission to release into DCS World. This is a purpose built aircraft for, apparently, no other reason than that they thought they could sell it.
  11. The problem with that assumption is that this is a very, very small team. They don't have the manpower to do two things at once.
  12. At this point I would say your hopes are just that. This is real.
  13. A four engine prop aircraft is nothing like a single engine when it come to flight dynamics. In that regard, M3 would be making a sensible choice. However, the OP gives no indication that this is a precursor to anything, just something they decided to spend thousands of hours on because it flies.
  14. Because a test bed for a flight model does not require the detailed 3d model, cockpit and associated avionics. It requires a flying brick which acts like the real thing.
  15. The development of the corsair does not require the creation of this as a complete module as a step.
  16. If they pay me to take it, I might.
  17. The difference is that this is the first aircraft from this team (the Mig-21 does not count) and DCS is still, first and foremost, a combat simulator.
  18. If it is a joke, which it is even if it is real, then it is in poor taste.
  19. The only thing I can think of is how sad it is that they had the time to do this but not enough time to work on the Mig-21 which I actually paid for five copies of (four were given away).
  20. Indeed.
  21. Skates is likely correct. The significant point is that Starforce does not shut down the use of the product when the server cannot be reached, for any reason. However, I will agree that this limits it's effectiveness since someone who knowingly has a 'blacklisted' key can just remain offline when running the sim and avoid the possibility of being cut off.
  22. Please elaborate. How many people did it take and exactly where did you put your hands to push a B-52? Fuel and ordnance load?
  23. Though I don't agree with every statement posted in this thread, the forum of the product vendor is obviously the best place to make a post discussing the product.
  24. At the moment, apparently, someone who can code it.
