  1. ^^This. Save your money until you can buy a pair. Memory can be very fussy unless you have two sticks that were matched by the vendor.
  2. That would be coding nightmare.
  3. That does not address the question of whether you can tell the difference. Most people do not have the ability to move their hands in increments small enough for that difference to matter.
  4. That would be cool but, we have already seen a very nice interview with YoYo and Chizh (well, I won't go into it) would not contribute anything that Wags has not already done.
  5. Yes there is. Wasted coding labor for the sole purpose of saving you a few minutes, at most. If you are building a mission (which will take quite a bit of time), which is the only purpose for your suggestion, then you should not be in that much of a hurry to load the required terrain.
  6. About as likely as getting an update from any other gaming company. Zero. They are not in a position to test every chip that is out in the wild, and without testing all of them there is no point in testing any of them.
  7. ^^This. I own a lot of aviation/military themed hats. However, I do not own any of the, fairly common, veteran hats. I know too many people that have earned the right to wear them so I would never do so, since I have not earned that right. I have an Arizona memorial hat that I have displayed in my home, but I would never wear it. My M*A*S*H 4077 hat is a different matter. ;)
  8. Well, that is the best way to maximise profit margins. :noexpression: Sorry to hear that, though!
  9. Blasphemy!! ;)
  10. If that is the case, according to the price, the man is delusional.
  11. Pretty pictures but ED's weather/cloud simulation will never, ever, reach that level of realism.
  12. No. My reason why would be to ask you if you have a separate 'button/icon' for every website you visit regularly. I am sure you don't and the reason why is that it would be a silly thing to do just to save a couple of mouse presses.
  13. Interesting. The Apache uses a, guessing here, similar, single eye system. The folks that come out of that aircraft end up with some rather amazing skills based on their ability to separate, and process, what their left and right eyes are seeing.
  14. I am sure there are a lot of wives that would echo that statement. ;)
  15. I am picturing someone walking around the store with calipers and a TM Warthog stick in their hand.
  16. Try renaming your Saved Games/DCS folder. Most problems like this are tied to something, that is corrupt, in that folder which is not touched during a reinstall.
  17. I will reserve judgement until the word 'probably' is replaced by 'will'!
  18. I see, and understand. Yes, DCS is fairly unique in that regard.
  19. USB is slower. Data must be processed and then pumped out to the USB bus.
  20. Drag n drop will work, however, you will have to modify any desktop and Startmenu shortcuts to point at the new locations. If DL speeds are not an issue, I would do a new install of everything onto the new drive, which makes sure that the registry and shortcuts point to the correct location. No deactivation should be needed. EDIT: How did you burn through nine deactivations? I haven't done that in eight years.
  21. The A-10 is finished, in terms of a DCS aircraft. It is Suite 3, which is woefully out of date compared to the aircraft currently in use, and extremely unlikely to progress beyond that point due to the terms of the original contract. It will, almost certainly, require an new contract to allow ED to model anything relating to the newer versions of the aircraft, which is highly unlikely.
  22. Run the command line in Skates post, just above yours.
  23. DLs fine here, in just a few seconds. I have a 150Mb cable connection.
  24. I suspect ED knows how to manage their finances. My Amazon Echo system gets regular updates and they don't seem to feel the need to charge extra for it, either.
