  1. Module updates are coupled with the base (DCS World) updates. If you choose not to use v2.5 then you will not get updates to the modules. Also, once v2.5 is released, you will have access to the free Caucasus map. No map purchase will be required.
  2. I will stick with my Intel builds. AMD has too much history of screwing up a potentially good thing.
  3. :megalol: There is something to be said here. You really have to love a sim that has people worrying about the density of the dirt next to runway.
  4. That looks like it will be excellent.
  5. Yes. If it works on your phone then it will work on the Echo. Deep Tracks is my station of choice.
  6. Leatherneck no longer exists. The company that owns the Mig-21 is Magnitude 3 and their forum section for the Mig can be found here. https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=324

    JSGME

I see your point but since I am not in the habit of moving installed games it doesn't matter much. There is certainly nothing wrong with JSGME. It has served me well for many years.
  8. You can use the License Check section on the bottom left of your profile page. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/order/
  9. You should get a new activation after 30 days. I suspect that is the answer that you will get from ED.
  10. Old and lazy, yep that is me. EDIT: Bit, keep in mind that you have a house full of children that you can tell to turn of lights and such. I just have two dogs which are short, don't comprehend much english (except words that involve food) and have no thumbs. ;) The Echo is also my alarm clock and kitchen timer. The ability to set multiple hands free timers while cooking is awesome. @hansangb Two warnings, you have to pay for the full service package to get internet capable Sirius/XM. The connectivity can be flaky at times, for no reason that I can suss out.

Just curious, what do you mean by portable?
  12. I see. DM is our resident expert on the A-10C cockpit so assumed that is what was being discussed.

    Yes, they will work.
  14. Just FYI, Belsimtek did not make the A-10C (they did not even exist at that time).
  15. It would also be expensive.

It is a program to assist with installing/uninstalling mods (for any game). It is a bit dated now but it still works well. If you have never used it then I would recommend OVGME which you can read about here. As for how it works... Basically, it installs the mods for you, while backing up the original files. This means that uninstalling a mod will also restore the files that it replaced. OVGME is a much improved version of the same tool. It allows you to store all of your mods in a single location anywhere on your drive(s) as well as handling multiple games with a single instance of the program.
  17. The setting is supposed to be in the mid 1940's so modern airfields would not make sense. I can't speak for ED but I don't see it happening.
  18. It's the best thing for anyone. :)
  19. Btw, your 'Adding JTAC Guide' was the inspiration for the first missions I ever created for the A-10C. This was before DCS World even existed.
  20. I know. Sheep have money to spend. ;) Seriously, it is good that people enjoy the films. I am just not one of them. As successful movies go, the SW series is, by far, one of the better set of films. Unfortunately, I was turned off by the first one, over 40 years ago, and that can't be corrected.
  21. My apologies. I overlooked the statement indicating that you had reported the problem. I still don't think you understand the underlying issue but that is another matter. Thank you for the time you have spent investigating this issue. Merry Christmas. :santa:
  22. I actually have never sold my used rigs. My friends children just get really good machines to do their homework on. Yes, the new heat works quite well, although I keep a cool home so it doesn't work too hard. The voice control is limited but the thermostats, which were already here, do respond to my voice, via Amazon's Echo. I can't turn it off/on but I can change the temp with just a voice command. The capabilities continue to grow. I can now make phone calls using the Echo, which annoys the hell out of the dogs since they don't know where the other voice is coming from. If I can ever find wall plates that look good but aren't made out of metal, wood is my next option, then I will have complete control over the lights. My copper and brass finished wall plates interfere with the WiFi connection so I am not where I want to be. Btw, satellite (Sirius/XM) radio is now integrated with the Echo system. No commercials and awesome music is a major plus, for me, since I run music throughout the house 24/7. Marantz based audio, coupled with a Synology multimedia server, throughout the house is nearly complete.
  23. Unfortunately, that is just showing a picture of a setting with no explanation of what it actually does. It may be what you assume, or it may not. It also may be implemented correctly or it may not. Time will tell.
  24. Hats off to your poetry skills. Merry Christmas!!
