  1. Hi, This is an idea for Fog Of War when viewing with the F10 Map. Rather than show the units on the map, display a diffused circle over the units with a radius that goes just beyond the units. The more units the darker gradient, and the wider spaced units cause the circle to be bigger. If two groups of units were far apart then two diffused circles would show. This would make it a little bit tougher to find or spot a particular unit, such as an air defense unit in a group. I think of it as "Fog Of War -- Diffused". WC
  2. AFAIK this is broken for Blue -- http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2381897#post2381897 ...maybe your issue is different. There is a test miz attached in the above link. WC
  3. With TrackIR, I changed my Warthog stick POV hat 'back' to Trim. Try setting your POV to the actual Trim key bindings. WC
  4. Oh, you can sure add in as many a/c types as you want to. But for each one you add, there should be just one a/c per group. You can set these a/c to Player or to Client, and they will show up in the list of available slots when you start in SP mode. You must use the Client type for multiplayer. WC
  5. You want to switch your aircraft in SP with a Radio Command? I don't think you can... I use SP for testing, and I'm pretty sure that once you choose your slot and Fly the mission you are stuck in that slot until you end the mission and restart it. Hope that answers your question. If not, ask it again...? WC
  6. For an A-10C to REPAIR the engines have to be off. You can switch the coms to INT and talk to the ground crew w/o opening the canopy. WC
  7. You should be quite happy with the Saitek. I have the Warthog and bought it back in 2009 when DCS A-10C came out. I use the Saitek Combat Pro rudder pedals. +1 on the TrackIR. Get one and you will never again fly w/o it. :) I fly the A-10C, the Huey and also very much like the Combined Arms. Watch for a sale and you can pick up CA for under $10. WC
  8. I did this, too. I put a little tag on the ear piece to help me remember to not go driving off from home with them on! WC
  9. Glad you like it qmaster :)
  10. The old Cougar did, and I'm pretty sure that Saitek includes both. I've looked at these -- 3Dconnexion And I bought one of these but it did NOT work out -- Griffin PowerMate WC
  11. That ASUS Z97-AR motherboard has a slot for an M.2 SSD. Anybody know if an M.2 device can be used to boot from? Ahh -- this is in the questions section for the MB -- Richard D: 4 second boot time with m.2 Mar 7, 2015 WC
  12. Bump. Scheesh, I saved a dozen missions under the latest patch (1.2.16), with a file name revision change, and forgot to update the Load Mission event in every miz file. WC
  13. I love my Warthogs (have two). I do miss two rotary axis on the throttle, though -- for the F-15C's Antenna and Range knobs. Other than that, both the stick and throttle are fine for flying the A-10C, F-15C and Huey. WC
  14. How did the build go, BIGNEWY? I copied your list and am looking at a new system, too. I will take the advice from above and look hard at an i5, but the main focus for this new build will be the monitor (4K...) and video card. WC
  15. Make sure the Group is not set to Late Activation or that it's Start Time (and days) is not later than the mission start. WC
  16. This is the important one. Grimes talks about Random and a Once trigger, like what you did -- http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=117326&highlight=random+grimes What I said above about using Random and Once being OK was incorrect -- my answer kept nagging at me. WC
  17. Here's another conversation -- http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94198&highlight=random+grimes WC
  18. Post the miz and I can look at it. A year ago or so I made a Random test mission. Here is the thread, see my post in it. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123626&highlight=random+wc WC
  19. If you use a Random() function on a ONCE type event then it should work. But if it is a Switched Condition or Continuous then after some time goes by the Random() will become True. I will use Random() on a Mission Start and set a flag to the value, like set Flag 4 to random 1-4. Then I use Flag(4) = x as a Condition for subsequent events. WC
  20. My understanding is that Late Activated groups are already in the mission and on the battlefield. But, if you use a script to create/clone a group mid-mission then that is a new element. WC
  21. For MP (but not SP :) ) you can use Load Mission which will restart the same mission or load another. I guess you could have both and depending upon SP or MP one of them would work. You do not need Mission Goals, but that can be used to win points that can lead to a win/loss determination. Usually I will define my own win/loss conditions and once met I'll start a countdown, typically 5 minutes, until the mission reloads. I will broadcast a message every minute during the countdown so folks know what is about to happen. WC
  22. That screenshot was after a repair and unload of all weps and fuel. It was my intention to not foul the runway at Vaziani. Let's get this bird back up in the air! WC
  23. Get the ground crew to fire up their tractor and pull me out of this turf! WC
  24. You can use Witchcraft from [FSF]Ian -- http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126516&highlight=witchcraft WC
