  1. What rig do you have out of interest?
  2. Just started noticing this today as well, has there really been no answer on this?
  3. Hi All, I’m looking to upgrade my current rig (3930K @ 4.7Ghz, 16GB, 1080ti) to something a bit more modern as I think I’ve squeezed all I can out of it and am looking for a more fluid/less laggy VR experience. I’ve been doing a big of digging and research into what a new Alder based (12900k) system would cost and I think I’m happy with the price. Based on my selection of hardware (12900k, 32gb, Samsung 980 1TB, ASUS TUF Gaming Z690 plus a few other things like case and new 1000w PSU) I think ~£1500 isn’t too much to spend for a ‘fresh from the factory’ setup. I should note that I’m looking to reuse my 1080ti until 3080s are in stock at a ‘reasonable’ price. I do question my choice of the 12900k though. I’ve watched a bunch of videos online where its mentioned that Windows 10 doesn’t play nice with the new architecture and because of this, I’m actually thinking of getting a second have 9900k setup from eBay. Does anyone here have a new setup that uses the 12900k? I’d be interested to see/hear what the performance gains over the 9900k are. Thanks!
  4. Hi All, I've recently bought a k40 laser/engraver and have started to design my own Hornet cockpit panels based off of reference images on Google. However, I'd like to make my designs/panels with some level of accuracy and am wondering if there is any material out there that contains dimensions I can use? Any pointers would be much appreciated! Thanks!"
  5. Hi All, I’m sure this has been asked before but I’m looking to start making my own panels for my F-18 home cockpit but I’m unsure which machine to buy. There are a few ‘cheap’ ones on Amazon/eBay but have people had an success with these? Also, I’m fairly confident using Fusion 360 for CAD but do I need different software to design the panels and lettering etc? Thanks!
  6. Sold
  7. Hi All, Up for sale is a Simshaker Jetpad by Andre. It was purchased a little while ago and after using it once or twice, has sat in my cupboard. I’ve decided to sell as it’s simple not for me. The only sign of wear is a small cut in the seat base that I made when I was opening the packaging. Looking for £110 inc postage & PayPal. Comes from a smoke and pet free home in the UK Thanks
  8. Sold
  9. Just to add, this is (as I am) based in the UK
  10. Hi All, Up for sale is a Vipergear F-16 ICP. I bought this over a year ago thinking I’d use it but at the time the incomplete state of dev with the F-16 made me put this in a cupboard and forget about it; as such, its practically brand new. Simply selling as I no longer want or need it as I favour the F-18 to fly. This is the new/updated version VG sent me as the original I had was sent back due to a manufacturing default (most if not all of the ‘first round’ of ICPs developed sticking button and a few other issues so a recall was issued) Price is £350 inc. postage (tracked & insured) & Paypal fees Any questions, let me know.
  11. Just came across these on Aliexpress and am reply intrigued - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002817844172.html. They have a bunch of reviews but I’m curious to know if anyone in out community has them and could provide real life images rather than the CAD ones on the advert? Thanks
  12. Got it, do we know if ED are working on a fix at all?
  13. I just took a spin in the F-18 after a little break only to find that clouds in VR Have jagged edges, anyone else finding the same?
  14. After leaving this project for a while (was waiting for my Elegoo Saturn to turn up more than anything else), I decided to start printing the throttle unit. From the pictures you can see my progress so far but its pretty clear to see the print quality issues I’m struggling with; I keep running into problems where certain parts of a print are warping (towards the edges) and its super frustrating. If anyone has any experience with 3D resin printing and/or Elegoo printers, I’d love to know how to tackle these print failures.
  15. After browsing the forums, I came across this which is what I’m talking about -
  16. Hi All, I recently came back to DCS and after spending a few mins in the cockpit of the Turkey, I noticed that I can hear a very audible beeping tone. Anyone know if it’s a bug or not?thanks
  17. I raised a similar post a little while ago to which they released a ‘fix’ for although I didn’t see any change. After doing some experimentation recently, I launched a fully loaded F-18c in full AB (3 ext. tanks, two GBU-38s, two AIM-9X, ATFLIR & 1x AIM-120) off the Abraham Lincoln which in ME I set to be steaming 25kts into the wind and I consistently got around 200-220 knots coming off the bow. I even tried without any throttle and was only seeing around a ~10kts reduction in end speed Something just doesn’t seem right with the amount of force being applied to whatever aircraft is hooked up to the catapult.
  18. Any updates on this? I just tried it to set trim to neutral after a double ugly load out but it doesn’t seem to do anything much at all
  19. +1 on this. The F-14’s canopy reflections/light refractions are awesome
  20. Looks like Vive are still in the mix..
  21. I just gave the F-14A a drive today and thought exactly the same thing. Thank god you brought it up, I thought I was going insane as I was able to hear very faint beeping noises. Why in the world would this be included? So annoying!
  22. Just tried this again at the weekend. Launched a fully loaded F-14 (6xPH, 2xSP, 2xA9 & two external tanks) and I’m still getting to the end of the cat with around 200kts end speed
  23. I've noticed this problem as well. I'm using the Virpil CM2 base with a 1.5" extension and the VFX grip and notice that past about 5-10 degrees of roll input, the F-14 rolls very violently (almost disproportionally so) to the amount of stick input I'm giving. I'm trying to play around with the custom curves to make it less like I'm commanding full right/left bank once I go past a certain point on my physical stick but I haven't had much luck
  24. What machine are people using to mill out their panels? I'm thinking of buying this but not sure if its any good?
  25. Thats awesome, make sure to post some more pics along the way. Can I ask what you used to design the PCB and where/how you had it printed? Thanks!
