Well it was doger who revived it to bring up the LUA scripting issue, obviously two current threads isn't enough, 3 is a lot better :)

My Screen Colors now only show 32 colors!
dynamocl replied to Wild.Bill.Kelso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
And if you said you felt the card move; turn off the PC, check it is the slot securely, if you can make sure the screw holding the card in place is secure. If the settings say it is at 32 Bit, and the graphics look 8 Bit, it is likely to be hardware problems. ---->>> http://forum.lockon.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=46 <<<---- -
I equate the Battle Sim as the equivalent of the VBS system for Operation flashpoint, but for lockon. Would be nuce to have a fully integrated hyrbid (soldier vehicle use like VBS/OFP, aircraft ops with lockon (BS standard of course)).

Touchbuddy compatibility?
dynamocl replied to warthogmadman987's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Is any of those units available to connect to your PC via a network? i.e. a wireless connection to the router. If so I imagine it wouldnt be too difficult (provided the app is compiled as palm top friendly). Using Active sync etc.. I doubt it. -
You want a hack that will make the antenna follow a target track without actually locking on? As a bomber pilot, not sure but is this to ensure you stay in contact using something like TWS and you not having to control the tilt etc? No offence, but online couldn't this be viewed as a cheat? I may have the wrong end of the stick, so don't be nasty :) I think what GG is saying, you may be able to control the tilt etc, but would have no feedback as to if the radar had tilted too much/little to remain in contact. If you could somehow get feedback as to the position of the contact within the current cone of radar, then it would be fairly easy. Is this a parameter that is available?

Sleek, stop trying to pass on other peoples work as your own, its called plagerism. Firstly you can tell its not your work, because it is not how you normally post, the stolen text sticks out from the start and end of your posts. It is clear you changed a few words and grammer to make it look like yours. You stole it from the enemy engaged ground school documents. Look under ground effects here: http://www.razorworks.com/enemyengaged/usmanual/Chapter6.PDF Page 9. Nice try :) but in future, please reference where you copy your text from.

Shielding system? Are you refering to that multicoloured square thing? Isn't that a IT detection unit (to identify incoming threats)? -
I assume the OP thought it was a common known link. Anyway, after about 0.5 seconds on google I got the link. (its amazing what you can do, I probably got that link quicker than you typed your response). http://steampowered.com/status/survey.html It is a useful site to compare the current trends in peoples hardware. But use it with caustion. These are people using steam (not necessarily just HL2 but most are). Therefore, this is a sample of the population, and unlikley to be representational (i.e. HL2 players are more likely to have decent PCs).

Feel like starting playing online??
dynamocl replied to *Rage*'s topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Its even better when people come online and ask how to start the engines, or "why don't the instruments work on the 25?". But regarding IFF, some of us fly in ground attack aircraft. We don't have this hi tech new fangled radar thingey. We don't have a nice cue saying friend or not on a MFD (in fact we don't even have MFDs). Sometimes when F-15s or Migs are on both sides and we have a good heat signal. We require a more help to IFF, and I must say, once or twice I have got someguys on TS to drop a flare to check... only becuase we have no electronic or visual clues any other way. Better to check before firing, instead of fire and hope. -
You resurected this thread just to say that? And what do you mean dodgey code? And are you sure that copy protection replaces drivers?

OT: American Mach-3 Missile Advances
dynamocl replied to BladeLWS's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Imagien the complaints they would receive, firing cruise missiles over populated areas at M3. Looking back at GW1, you saw vids of tomahawks flying low level over towns etc. With current regulations for Mach travel over land, how will they cope. Then again, it is the US, rules get bent. 8) -
But CD Burners are what pirates use to burn copies of products and sell them... Diveplane, how could you condone such acts.
-
I think you could also use the CTRL+Esc in F2 mode as well, you can then move the camera around the plane.

Can you remember your email address and password? If so log in on the lockon main site, that has your licence keys there. Thats where mine are stored, and so should yours (since you said you downloaded amd not bought hard copy). Also, please mind the trolls and don't encourage them. Edit: BAH, you edited the post to make me look stupid now...

OT - help from German(?) community
dynamocl replied to Brit_Radar_Dude's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
http://www.silvermans.co.uk/Silver/docs/topframe.htm an old mail order military surplus kit retailer in the UK used to stock those kind of jackets ages ago. just had a quick look could only find USAF equivalent. Have a look around - but silvermans have always been know for charging a little over the odds. -
Do you mean posting direct like this? Its not too hard really. I won't insult your intelligence by giving you a step by step guide. Those guys are just dumping fuel to make aircraft lighter, then the fuel is ignited. I guess it is better setting the fuel on fire than dumping it over someones back yard. No offense people, but if I had a list of feature requests in lockon, these graphical niceities would be way down. Functionality over prettyness especial when it comes to this kind of stuff. Thats how I feel anyway, obviously you will disagree. EDIT: And just to add, I would not advocate posting those images direct to the thread. 1) They are large and so bandwidth hungry, not everyone will appreciate having to download them all. 2) People may not want to be hit full on with these pictures, people (like me) my only want to look at 3-4 pictures to see what you are on about, and dont want to have to look through them all. So having them as links is the best option, you got it right firsrt time. Nice pics though.

Thats why the OP said Sorry FO guys.

I wa asking about the shutter glasses a few days ago, but no one with any experience pipped up. As far as I know (may be wrong) Nvidia provide drivers that support 3D in most games. Try looking on their forums.

Thats what I was hinting at. But then again, can't these be assumed/calculated? -
The Ka-50 Black Shark thread
dynamocl replied to Force_Feedback's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Not heard of LCDs ghosting for years now. The technology since the first gen LCDs were released has increased a lot. As as stated before, don't think that since you are real l33t in BF2 chopper whoring playing with keyboard and mouse, that you will be able to fly a sim like that. BF2 can hardly be called a sim and cant be compared with lockon at all. I suggest getting a cheap version of lockon (cant cost much now) and see what we mean. After all I beleive you need the original version anyway if you plan to get BS. -

I mainly only play mutliplayer, unless I am practising weapon delivery etc. No mission/server I have been in has ever resulted in my obtaining a failure. Would be nice not to have to manually mess with sliders and times (takes out the suprise otherwise) and have failures "built" in to the system based on real life experience. A bit of research I know, and I know that the team are putting in a lot of effort, just would, as MBot says, makes the start up checklist less of a formality and more of an actual requirement. -
We could have a go at strapping the Mercury pod on it.

Thanks for the quick response :)
