Refueling at whatever speed the tanker is at. I am experimenting with the AB while refueling but it's touch and go. Sometimes I find it's easier sometimes not. Usually when I do it successfully I don't use the AB

No, I mean being able to trim the throttle with a hat switch just like you'd trim pitch and roll. I have already set the curve on the throttle. That said, I'm getting better with AAR but I find it very frustrating that as soon as I hook up I'm flying right through the basket and need to back off my throttle a lot and then push it forward a lot to stay on speed. This is definitely an art and skill because once I'm dialed in, the jet just floats there taking fuel like it is no big deal. Neat but tricky to get into this kind of formation flying. Getting easier but I would still like to have a throttle trim. It would make these things easier.

Well I don’t know about the Warthog but the Logitech X56 is a little tricky and I suspect that comes from the engines response time on the Hornet which we all know is very slow compared to the F-15.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Doesn’t the warranty department need the defective product in hand to determine if it’s defective? How would you be able to confirm that the product is defective from the owners house?
-
I’ll try it. I might also try using the default keys on the keyboard. That might give me the tiny adjustments I need.
-
Trim the throttle, like you can trim your pitch and roll.
-
Does anyone know if it's possible to trim the throttle on the Hornet? This would help when doing AAR.

I'll second F900EX's opinion.. RMA IT NOW!!!! Don't try to fix it because you may void the warranty. What I've done in the past with RMA's is ask the agent if they can place a hold on my CC for the full amount of a new one, send me a new one with return shipping enclosed. I get the new one, they get the RMA'd one and once they receive it and confirm that the little axis thingie is indeed defective they keep the RMA'd one, remove the hold on your credit card and you keep the new one they sent. This allows you to never experience any down time with your setup. I've never tried it with Logitech but I'm sure they will do it for you. Asus didn't allow this but when my motherboard failed under warranty, they confirmed with some higher ups and allowed me to do it. Even if it's not their policy, they may say yes.

Is there any way that shim can be made thicker in the plans? I also don’t have access to a 3D printer nor do I know anything about how to do this.
-
Since I went from the X52 to the X56 it was worthwhile but if you have the X55 I wouldn’t bother unless the guts of the X56 were upgraded.

That stick and throttle are excellent for DCS given the price point. Good call! This thread may help answer your questions but in the meantime Practice your take offs and landings and once you have that down try your hand at cold starts and basically whatever you want. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232929 It all depends on your attitude. If you like to learn in sequential steps then the best thing to do is read the manual(s). Chuck's manual is very helpful so it's a great place to start https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212282 I'm all over the place with this sim but I'd rather learn what I want when I want in order to stay interested and keen on knowing more. Honestly dude, just do what you want with the game and have fun. You will eventually learn as you go along and once you have the basics down you will start to learn at a much faster rate. There are tons of great videos on YouTube. Keeping it fun is the name of the game. Good luck.

Are you looking for one so you can make a 3D print out?
-
Mine also came with one although I have Trump hands so it needs to be thicker lol. :joystick:
-
Apparently me and a few others. G’night
-
15, 16 and 18 have it. Not implemented yet on the Hornet or Falcon lol
-
Would be nice to see a video demonstrating the settings for the average build. That video was all about the settings on two relatively powerful and EXPENSIVE rigs. Helpful to some but not realistic for most.
-
Then say “you get what you pay for” and leave it at that. No need for the attitude.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but this I believe, refers to the missile's proximity fuse. The fuse can be set to have the detonation sensor set to small (you have to be really close to the missile before it goes off) Medium (you have to be reasonably close to the missile before it goes off) or Large (the missile will detonate even if it's fairly far from the jet)

Lol, thanks will do. WOW so that much eh??? JEEESUS!!! I think I'll be back on the Falcon before they finish the Hornet. Can't wait for my little Sky Porsche

As long as ED maintains 100% control over it's company without partnering up with some greedy prick publisher (i.e. EA, Activision) I'm happy. ED is growing slowly and steadily and that's what works best for any growing company.

Hey folks, Just wondering how much is left to be done for the Hornet to be complete. So far I've only heard of the Laser designator pod and the ECM that has yet to be added so what would be left after that? I know it will never be *finished* so not holding my breath.

If that's the case the first thing I'll do with the Tomcat is takeoff, fly to angels 40 and do a vertical dive at full burner..... Let's see how much she can handle ;) :joystick:
-
Change the mission to make the tanker fly in a straight line forever.... You're practicing so why make it harder than it needs to be. Once you nail AAR in a straight line, practice in turns.

Will do thank you

Thank you LOGIRich, Now I am gonna bust your balls here a little ;) Can you confirm that “go ahead and open the throttle to remove extra grease *YOU HAVE OUR BLESSING*” means that opening up the throttle will NOT void the warranty?
