  1. That 10 figure makes them comply with the Dayton Convention I guess.
  2. Yeah, the 154 is fun to use but not as good as CBU-97s … intentionally I’d imagine … I load up with HARMs and 6 CBU-97s on SEAD and do pretty well with CCRP at 16K. Edit: and yes setting correct target elevation crucial to good kills with whatever weapon.
  3. So Q4 2022 - we can start saving now
  4. Only rumour, but this is when they start getting leaked out…
  5. You never actually "buy" a module, you are just granted an unlimited licence to use that module.
  6. Brilliant - I think that is just what I need
  7. ...is a real PITA for creating steerpoints from the map. In the Viper I have to flip back and forward between map and DED display, and each time re-select the target to get the co-ordinates. Much easier obviously out of VR but then that is a different start up. Wish there was an easy way to select and directly transfer to the avionics system ... it is easier in the Harrier of course.
  8. God, my investment there is into the thousands since 2010! But they deliver a great service. I agree a similar thing here would be great and a guaranteed, steady revenue supply for the developers. We, in return, get a major build four times a year. Yes, content is extra too but if this option accelerates the rate of core development, then I am 100% in.
  9. Really appreciating the effort going into the Viper - such a fun - and rewarding - aircraft to fly. HARM deployment feels more "basic" than the F/A-18 but perhaps that is to be expected considering the version implemented. So thanks to the developers for all their efforts - the JSOW is SUCH GOOD FUN!
  10. Please no more modules. My wallet cannot afford any more. Eurofighter the latest instant purchase when it comes out. Hell yeah!
  11. Hi - when is A-G radar likely to be implemented?
  12. My last AMD card was the ATI 9700 Pro way back in 2003. Good card for its time. But went nVidia ever since.
  13. My 5800X doesn’t overheat … in fact in full extended use in DCS doesn’t go much above 49C, according to FPSVR.
  14. Once the campaign engine lands, I’d imagine they’ll need as many cores as they can grab hold of.
  15. We're in Q3 now
  16. Whatever the new campaign engine is, all I want is to feel a tiny part of a massive campaign where missions are generated as per the threat, military goals, etc and where I can chose to jump into any mission type from a long list generated by the Air Tasking Order. I want to see the consequences and see the war evolve. I want to feel the campaign is alive. In short: “There’s a bloody huge war going on - and someone’s just dumped you into a combat aircraft.”
  17. Mmm…for that price I’d expect top-notch audio too. I’m sure Pimax are doing great work, but it has a little bit of that “start-up” feel about it.
  18. Yes thanks Ed - a few performance issues to sort of course but an interesting new scenario and of course it's free Out of interest, what is the new tech used for this map? How does it manifest itself in the map?
  19. Going multi-core will significantly improve the experience for many. I think with the introduction of a campaign engine too it'll be necessary as that could well be quite a resource hog. At the moment - if I understand it correctly - DCS uses two cores, one for the sound and one for the sim (ie everything else). Mitigating drops in FPS in high CPU situations (like lots of players / units etc...) will be a godsend. As for the OP, I think the performance improvement balance is roughly 70/30 split between GPU and CPU.
  20. … the sound isn’t an issue with the earphones on the G2.
  21. G2 - I love mine! Sharpness superb and as for FOV it doesn’t really bother me.

Just flown a MP server mission and there is definitely an improvement! Very, very nice. Good work nVidia.
