Diaspora: Shattered Armistice is a pretty realistic simulation of Battlestar Galactica, and it's free! Freespace 2 mod, although you don't actually need Freespace to play it. Works with TrackIR and my X52 HOTAS. When you put your ship on Glide Mode, you can do some crazy things you can't do in atmosphere. There is some liberties taken against canon, such as shields and FTL Vipers, but it still feels very BSG and lowtech.

13 hours for me to beat, loved it. It has a City 17 feel to it.

Anyone in the beta? NDA has been lifted so I might post some videos! The cockpit actually looks awesome if you set your FOV to 85 degrees or so, allowing you to see what is around the glass. It gives you a disadvantage but it makes you feel like a mechwarrior.

No fictional Canada paint? :( Just needs some dark grey and a fake canopy on the bottom!

If it's the 7 Medium Pulse version, I'm going to run him over with my Dragon until he cries! Hey, you know what they should add?

I want Direct Action Penetration! AH-60L, please!

This guy will be enjoying his ban after breaking the NDA (foolish mortal, your beta key is mine!), but the devs aren't doing anything about the video itself. Probably because it promotes the game 8x better then anything the devs have put up. The game is in a very early beta stage I believe, so all the sim/graphical/gameplay aspects aren't implemented yet. Looks fun though! Turn the bass and the volume up to 11, those footsteps are glorious.

I'd love to have DCS Fleshlight! ...er. Dammit.

Just make sure that the Toad is already flying perfectly straight when you activate any sort of autopilot.

Maintenance on landing gear and brakes costs more then stuffing a parachute back in something, or even replacing it all together. Also, shorter landing roll for small or icy runways. Norway and Canada are buying F-35A's, but with chutes so they can utilize them in the Arctic.

This looks freakin' amazing. It looks like it has a wing on it.

I would much rather have the Pegaus. :music_whistling: Although this would be nice too:

I don't know why I want to fly it, but I just do. I think it would be really fun. It's kinda cute, like a Zooey Deschendal of the sky. :) Small, fast, multirole. The NG variant has an F414 in it, so we're looking at a 1.15 T/Wr in an air-to-air configuration. AIM-120, AIM-9, IRIS-T, Maverick, KEPD, RBS-15, GBU-12, Mark 82, Hydra compatibility. That is BVR, WVR, ground attack, precision strike, anti-shipping, cruise-missiling, and bomb dropping of both the retarded and smart varieties. No shortage of variety and fun!

A Higgs-Boson walks into a church. A priest immediately bars the way and declares, "we don't allow your kind in here." The Higgs-Boson then asks, "but without me, how can you have mass?" Most elegant thing I've ever read on the internet.

Jet Thunder: Falklands was going to have the Vulcan, but that died off. :( B-1B would probably be my favorite option out of the big jets. The AC-130 Spooky would be cool too, but you and I both know that may attract another crowd with access to their moms credit card.

Well, it was cancelled, but maybe not in the Eagleverse. :smilewink: Also, who loves Direct Action Penetration? These things are angry.

This guy, right here. Ground attack? Check! Troop transport? Check! Air-to-air? Check! Well, of course, no helicopter is designed for it, but it is well suited for the role. Bohemia Interactive DID release a module for Take On Helicopters for the Hind (D, P, V, and Superhind) and it is pretty good, but I just hate the ARMA engine with a passion. It is the least optimized and stable engine in existence. It's a real shame they named the game "Take On! Helicopters" though. If it had name that didn't completely suck, I bet it would have done pretty well. Superhind for sure. The Zulu Cobra would be my 2nd option, and the 3rd would be the Eurocopter Tigre.

I would definetly like to see DCS products back on Steam.

What if? 2 same planes different quality.

If you guys want the F-16C, why not get FreeFalcon or BMS Falcon? Graphics, interface, and flight model aside, they beat DCS in most areas. I haven't played Falcon 4 myself, but a friend of mine refuses to buy DCS because it lacks a dynamic campaign. They must be pretty damn good. I'd rather get the Charlie Hornet, because it is balanced with other DCS modules and Lock On aircraft, and it hasn't really been done before. Every other Hornet simulator has been for the Superbug, and I don't like the Superbug as much (Canadian bias). The FSX Hornet doesn't simulate the experience very well, as far as I'm concerned. I think ED would prevent 2 modders from creating the same aircraft if both fall under quality control standards. -

I'm not going to post my list again, but taking everything into account, they are likely making F/A-18C. -
I've never had a Maverick miss. You sure the crew chief didn't try to jury rig a set of Vikhrs?
-
None, just wishful thinking. This seemed appropriate, or appropriately innapropriate:
-
It won't be World War 3. Surely humanity is better then this. Surely we will not start a world war over a single F-4 getting shot down.
-
I believe a map for "Myanmar" is hiding in the files for DCS World, but it isn't finished or playable yet, obviously. If we had Black Sea/Georgia, Myanmar/Burma, and Nevada, that should be enough for awhile. What ED needs to work on is creating a believable combat enviroment. DCS has matched or exceeded the renowned Falcon 4 and Allied Force, in areas like weapon models, flight models, 98%> functional cockpits. But it really missing that feeling of immersion, of a war. The lack of dynamic campaign, while sucky, isn't even necessarily part of the problem. I just can't put my finger on what it is. The whole DCS World feels very scripted.

Should only Senior-members be able to create polls?

One of your options has a spelling mistake in it.
