Windows 8.1 has a "Restore Previous Version" capability. Just for people who need to go back to the previous ver. of a file as you needed to, and it also restores deleted files. Maximum PC has an article on it this month. Of course it is searchable in Microsoft's site also. Comes in handy.

That is a bit misleading isn't it. It did after all receive updates as all DCS module have sense then. Black Shark2 is the one we should gauge that particular sim. on after all.

Unless it has changed the only Profile needed was the Blackshark profile that is already in Inspector. It used DCS in a Universal way so that all Modules loaded with the Blackshark Profile at start up. With newer cards Inspector was replaced by Gforce Experience. Although there is no profile for DCS as yet.

Others do run with 4Gigs of Ram. I suspect issues with all of the other software running in the background and along with DCS. posted in his signature.

Cut scenes would do the job. similar to First Person Shooters. No need to go crazy with it. Not that your suggestion is "going crazy" with it just some of the other post took it further than a "Virtual Sim" needs it to go.

It is really annoying to have "Every Single" enemy pilot set up with the skills of an "Ace". Loosing 5of7 of my Flight Team in a fur ball is not realistic at all. I come in from a distance in an instant action mission, even with unlimited ammo the results are the same. I fire off Aim9s like a mad man from close range they dip dodge and I can't do the same to their missiles. very annoying reducing the enemy levels is the only thing that helps and that just ruins the emersion for me. I prefer even odds with like skilled pilots. Until I become an "Ace" that is. Even then I don't believe the skill level will be competitive with this AI set as it is. But I do enjoy the sim. for all of its other (and there are many) merits. With that said I am sure this issue has low priority on the must fix totem pole. And I am having to much fun to really care that much about it myself.

U R overclocked I see. Did U also enhance system cache by removing windows control of Virtual Cache and doubling the amount of Virtual Memory in the settings? Although the issue is a known and reported one U could gain some speed and use back by removing those settings. Until a fix is found for it.

ShuRugal I would bet dollars to donuts its their effort to increase reliability with dual monitor set ups that has your system slowing now. Can you change out the video card By way of borrowing one from a friend to see if this changes anything for U.? or if U have one laying around? What are your specs? by the by.

The A10A is a jet released as part of FC3 and isn't able to run without the install of FC3 for DCS World, the 1.2.8 ver. of FC3 is what is needed to use that jet. It tells U that in the description. U missed it as the price had more of the attention needed to see that. If it is cheap there is a reason for it. In this case it was because it was a small part of a larger sim.

+1 This is after all our passion. Who is to say the performance tweaks we discuss and apply will not give us more performance from EDGE? Not one of us is just going to sit on EDGE. We will try to get enhancements from it too if possible.

When Looking over the "Improvements" section of this update I saw this. Increases performance and reliability when you use multi-display configurations for portrait-first device experiences. As an "Experienced Software Engineer" I am sure U are aware that this sometimes means Down Grading the performance in an effort to increase "Reliability". Maybe the fix is there? But it may be hard coded.

Why wouldn't you just Restore instead of "Reimaging"? Change log of the update is on Windows website I am sure.

Isn't this indicative of the AI across the board for this sim? Even in "Create fast mission" the AI is over done in it's ability to out gun us. I enter a fast mission, the fur ball is in front of me about 10nm or so. I watch the action as I load up my DSMS and prepare to enter the fight. By the time I get there my flight members are taking a heck of a beating 5 of the 7 aircraft are falling from the sky. I pop out Aim9s like JuJu Beads at a movie theater and they have some effect but not equal to my advisories. The second element enters the fray and the over achieving enemy AI repeat their astounding "Ace" like maneuvers as again I watch my team mates disappear into a cloud of black smoke after impacting the ground. Until I am alone in the fight battered but still limping along trying desperately to assist my mates in a battle that is lost before we start. (Hat on chest with tears streaming).
