I don't think u need to upgrade the CPU. I am running an i7 920 at stock and have all graphics maxed out. with great FPs. The GPU upgrade should get u were u want to be.

OK. no SSD. Then do u use an HDD with 2 to 3 or even more available gigs of space? as most do. Obsessive Compulsive Much? Not an insult at all. Space being at such a premium on ur PC is the real issue, this has been resolved long ago. making this a mute point. the answer being get a bigger drive or SSD. and stop with the OCD. ur choice of file mngr. was a better one a long time ago. now we have moved on u should too.

Get an NVidea Graphics card. U might not need to update other devices they are newer than my PC and I run on High Graphics settings for all. As for ur Questions. U need to set the Sim. to those settings and see for ur self how ur card renders those images.

Can't find the post, but another user of the 780ti had the same issue. He ended it with an increase to his fan speed as heat turned out to be his issue. Give it a go. or u are not getting overheating problems?

One can hope. U think an SLi rig. will run this DX9 non SLi supported Sim. in EDGE? What would make it run if it wasn't programmed to support it? EDGE would take that much control over the programming of the visuals? real good news if it works though.

People are having issues with that card and this Sim. do a search on it.

Have u lowered the overclock on the video card to see if that helps. It has others, I don't remember what card that was happening to off the top though.

This was an error in an earlier ver. of the Sim. It had to do with the updater not installing the C++Redistributed 2012. So in that light checking what ver. u are running and making sure u have the 2012ver. of Visual C++ should fix ur error if it is such. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
