They were correct, you need to download the .exe file and ALL 3 .bin files. Place them all into a folder and then run the .exe. Here is a link for the 1.1.1.1 version in english http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=25&end_pos=135&lang=en Please note that this version is really outdated now. The newest version is DCS world 1.2.1 which you can find here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=21&end_pos=137&lang=en Again, download all of the files on the page (1 .exe, 3 .bin) place them into a folder and run it. Once that has been installed, you can download the a-10 module from here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en If you do not un-install your previous a-10 version, it will automatically be detected and activated.

Training tracks disappeared and mission install question
BigfootMSR replied to doveman's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
No worries man. Its easy to get confused. :P I'm not sure. I think either will work fine, but you can try it out in saved games first. If the game wont find it there, then it will have to go into the install directory. -
Thanks for the quick replies and links! Outlaw, your able to program simple on/off toggles using helios and those slots? If that's the case, I can just rewire to use those switches instead of the 3 ways.
-
Alright. So, I have been slowly buying switches from my local electronic store and its turning out well. But, I am having a bit of an issue with the GPwiz40. I have a couple of switches assigned to the axis ports on the board. I can use a program called JoyToKey to get the game to turn on the switches but it wont turn them off. I have modified the .lua files similarly to the regular joystick commands. {combos = {{key = "R"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPGUNPACArm, up = iCommandPlaneAHCPGUNPACArm, name = "GUN/PAC switch ARM", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, {combos = {{key = "E"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPGUNArm, up = iCommandPlaneAHCPGUNArm, name = "GUN/PAC switch GUNARM", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, ... The game just does not recognize the up state. Is there another program that somebody could recommend that I could get this to work with? Helios perhaps? I could not find a download for that one though. It shows a lot of software out there for salons, POS systems ect. Thanks for any help!

Training tracks disappeared and mission install question
BigfootMSR replied to doveman's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
First off, those interactive missions were created by me and have to go into the folder that is specified in the read me in order for the menu integration to work. As for any of the other single/ mulitplayer, you can just navigate to it on your HDD and it will load up fine. Campaigns must go into the appropriate campaign folder for them to be found by the game as a campaign. -
Installing the new patch without losing DEactivation?
BigfootMSR replied to Echo38's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
No. -
I thought there was an update not too long ago that updated the list of the aircraft of each country. I could be wrong, I just remember a discussion related to this topic not that long ago. You could try searching for it.

C: > users > Unique computer name > saved games > DCS > Logs > autoupdate.txt Its not very useful though. They have stated that they are going to be implementing a change log into the autoupdater at some point. In the mean time, please be patient. This auto updater is new and very much in its infancy stage. It will be addressed. Please refer to the following thread regarding these updates. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94905

DCS Not Recognizing Prepaid Modules
BigfootMSR replied to whkinsey's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
If you deactivate your all your products before installing into the new dcs world 1.2.1 then no, it wont use an activation. However, I have heard that ED will be reimbursing an activation for those who had one taken up by the 1.2.1 version. -
You can leave your 1.1.1.1 install alone. DCS world installs separately from it. Plus World should automatically detect the installation and not require a new activation. The problem we are having is an oversight in the latest release that caused the program to not recognize or check for the existing keys thus forcing everybody to have to deactivate/activate again. This is not normally the case. As for the importation of settings and what not from 1.1.1.1 to world, I have heard that it is not recommended because the file structures are different. I know that applies to things like HOTAS. I am not sure about the Helios configs.
-
It sounds like your modules did not install properly. You might need to uninstall and reinstall again.
-
To be honest, im not sure how the multiple computer thing works. To my understanding of it, you would use another activation having it on the second computer. But, you could not be online with both computers running the same key, at the same time. If you purchased another key, you could use the 1 install to install it on both machines each with a unique key.
-
Your suggestions are commendable and its possible that in time, these suggestions may be the case. However, there is currently no way to combine the upgrade and BS1 together to form a new key. With the auto updater, this needing to have bs1 issue may be a thing of the past, unless you need to reinstall of course. But, that should now be a lot less. I would like to point out that whenever ED releases a new patch, these suggestion threads tend to pop up. Most of these suggestions have been suggested before and I'm sure that ED is aware of peoples concern regarding this.

Patch from 1.1.2.0 to 1.1.2.1 for DCS: World
BigfootMSR replied to willzah1313's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I believe with the implementation of some of the items such as the auto updater and several changed crucial files, they felt it was safer to download the entire thing instead of a patch. Granted, im not a tester nor am I a member of the ED team. I am a programer so I do have some appreciation and understanding of how the process works. But, I am excited to the see the implementation of a patching system. Hopefully it will work wonders to prevent this kind of frustration in the future :) Happy flying! -
Thats one way to do it, but it does not deactivate all of the modules you may have. 1.1.0.7 is a very old version. Make sure that you download dcs world 1.2.1. Do not pay any attention to what is listed on the patch page. It does not apply to this new update. Use this link to get the proper version for world. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en The modules are located here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=136&scr=products&lang=en

Have no fear. After you have used your last activation, you will get another activation after 30 days automatically. You will not have to worry about needing to buy the game again after you run out. you can deactivate your modules by going to your dcs world > mods> aircrafts folder. Inside each of those folders is a folder called bin. Inside of that, you will find a file named "Modulename_Protect. If you double click on it, it will pop a window where you can deactivate your product. When you first install the game, you start off with 10 deactivations, and 10 activations. After your last activation is used, you will automatically gain another activation after 30days.

The auto updater is in its infancy state. It will be improved upon in the future.

Patch from 1.1.2.0 to 1.1.2.1 for DCS: World
BigfootMSR replied to willzah1313's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Bignewy is correct. For this version, you will have to download the entire 5+gb file and do a fresh install.. However, the good news is that this version contains an auto-updater. That means future updates will not require the entire download. -
What version are you looking at? You have to go through the DCS World folder. Then follow the folder path as mentioned above. I just checked and it works fine.

If "keys" are what authorizes...
BigfootMSR replied to Raven434th's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
All of the modules are already realeased in DCS world. They are only a few megabytes in size each. They all plug into DCS world. The new release 1.2.1 will allow updating of everything without having to redownload everything after every patch. However, for this patch, you must do just that. Make sure when you are looking for the modules though, that you are downloading the module and not the standalone version which is several gigabytes. -
I believe this has actually been talked about. Its not a bug. Its the systems adjusting the targeting gate for the opposite pod on the aircraft. So, you fire the left one, the gate adjusts to align the right side.
-
You need to be more specific..... What exactly are the issues you are having? Is the game crashing during any of this? What do you mean by not load up? what happens when you go to the training menu? The A-10 has several campaigns. What happens when you go into the campaign menu? Screen shots of the issues? Crash logs? There are several servers up and running for World. When you load up the game, do you have a dollar sign on the a-10 and p-51 module? Sorry lots of questions, but long story short.. please explain in as much detail as you have the problems you are experiencing.
-
No worries Leg2ion. As for the skins and what not. I would head over to the mods section from the main forum page. There are lots of people there that can help you add them in and several people that have already created mods to add several others into the game.
