  2. Ever seen the coastlines in BMS? I am very happy with what DCS brings us. I didn't say I don't want improvements, but the terrain IS good already. Super-
  3. Timed out (at 1600, I think). Super-
  4. Grimes, I need a bit help debugging. Check your rep page for the code (not much there that I could have done wrong, but I never know). Super- (not into computer science)
  5. I find comfort in the thought that ED gets paid in percent and not a fixed amount. If that's incorrect, don't tell me :P Super-
  6. Two things that I want to add although they could be obvious: 1.: Control lateral spacing by adjusting heading, Control fore/aft with power Somewhere I read (simHQ?) that you should 1. get to the same altitude, 2. get the speed right and only then and 3. reduce your separation. The other thing (from someone on these boards - Tyger?) is to not be ashamed to loosen it to get into a more controlled position. Being farther away gives you a way bigger tolerance to get sthablished again. Hope that helps, Super- PS: I'm into DCS for approx. 18 months now, but got formation flying down only this Novermber
  7. @danilop: JDAMs aren't influenced by the laser. The laser is relevant when creating the SPI. GBU 10/12 are laser guided, GBU 31/38 are GPS. Super-
  8. Yes, for : CA. Still pointing to 1.2.2 though. Super-
  9. That is a bit redundant, because I can scale up the video in the editing software all day without playing with scripts. The idea to work with the video driver for this is intereesting, though. I am nowhere near my gaming PC, but will try some things when I'm back and will then report. Super-
  10. I put that wrong: Right now, 1680 is rendered and goes to the screen. What I thought it that if I could set 1920, that would be rendered and then scaled by the screen. Consequently, Fraps would grab 1920 before the signal heads to the monitor. :book: Super-
  11. That is what I don't understand: I thought the 1920x1080 goes to the monitor and is reduced only there. FRAPS would get the normal unscaled output...? I don't get it, but I gather it's impossible. Thanks! Super-
  12. Strange, I assumed it could be rendered independently and then downscaled by the screen, because I don't need it displayed, I only need it recorded. Super-
  13. Hi! For recording purposes, I want to make DCS run in 1920x1080, but my monitor only supports 1680x1050. How can I do that? Reportedly, you can type it into the options page, but it won't let me :/ Super-
  14. I can't try this myself for a week or so: Where's the difference if you lase it while making the SPI for the target? I guess it should be pointing to the same spot. Super-
  15. There's a little error on this page, sixth-lowest line. If that's not an error, that's awesome :) Super-
  16. Yes we do, but most is either A-10 or A-10 and KA-50 combined. But if you Shark guys get together for a mission, there's lots of action to have. Just yesterday we had a combined mission, running over three (?) hours. Super-
  17. One question: What are you waiting for? :P You'll be flying in no time. See you soon, Super-
  18. Does someone know how much of the price goes to Steam and how much to the actual company? Super-
  19. Hello, and you're welcome! You don't need to know anything to join us. You'll learn as you go as it fits you. If you don't know something, you can ask anybody on the boards or on TS, anytime. We all learn best in MP, from other players. Proper comms, especially for FC3, depends on how correct you want to get. Mostly, we fly for fun. In the A-10, we employ "semi-correct" comms. I don't know how much FC3 is going on at the moment, because I miss out on a lot of flight lately, but it must be picking up speed. Again, you you like to join, you're welcome! Super- (FSF Moderator)
  20. If you can reproduce the issue, make a shorter track, ideally with less units and action going on. Super-
  21. Thanks. I can justify that amount of time and will be there. Super-
  22. Can you estimate how long the session tomorrow will be? My want and my can are diverging, unfortunately. Super-
  23. As long as you're still moving, you can get away from it when you go max power asap. Not always, but you can be lucky. Personally I have not managed to get a jet moving again in the sim after it came to a halt, then it's bogged down. Super-
  24. Are these parameters put at the bottom of the file or added at a specifilc place? Super-
  25. You mean the displays like on the G510 can be made to show who's talking? That's the first real and very handy use for them I heard of, other than having thermals on there if concerned about system stability. Super-
