  1. There is a thread around somewhere that found out that pre-launch dropping of chaff/flare is not useful, but enabling the jammer is a good way to delay the radar lock. Keep in mind that a jammer will shut off after a time (and overheat, not sure of the in-sim behaviour). Super-
  2. Eight Gigs of Ram and a x86 OS? Super-
  3. What for? It's not exactly excessively big (edit: sorry, definitely no pun intended) , just go on in the one below it. Super-
  4. Can't you put a little note in the #1 post and continue in post #3? Plenty of space there. Super-
  5. You can do it. The entry you are looking for is under the Options/Controls/SU-25T/Axis. The item is called like L-251 (I can't check it ATM). There are horizontal, vertical (invert this under the axis tune and set a curve there [i use 30]) and some other entries for the L-251 you don't really need. Super-
  6. 2) Can do this, you need loads of zones of different sizes and make a flag_activate_on zone1;zone2;zone3 etc. Possible? Yes. Practical? Maybe, never tested. 7) Create a second zone (not as flexible I guess) Super-
  7. Ok thank you all. Until now, I didn't bother at all and taxied when the engines were up xD I will be patient in the future. Super-
  8. Hi! Does the SU-25T need time at startup to spin up its gyros, align the nav suite or something similar? There's no reference in the manual to this, so I guess power+engines+lights+canopy down is all I need? Thank you! Super-
  9. Hiding inflexibility behind simplicity doesn't work. On the other hand, complexity creates opportunities, which is what makes a (mission-)kill. Automations have their uses, but not dumbing-down. Reasonable design is everything. This is the briefest I can put it... Super-
  10. Ok thank you, at least I'm not looking in the wrong place :) Will try harder, Super-
  11. Unrelated question: I want to do a CCIP bomb run with weapon release at a pre-determined altitude. How do I methodically make sure I get it right? The TOF is not successful for me (or I do it wrong). Super-
  12. Don't worry - back when I joined I could barely keep the A-10 in a straight roll... (shh, nevermind). You'll easily gather experience in MP and will notice that you progress automatically therewith. You're welcome! Super-
  13. What happens when you connect via IP - does it immediately give you a Connection interrupted or does the Connecting... (or the like) message stay there for some time? This matters, because the first affirms that the server is indeed out there and was contacted by DCS or the master server (and some other issue is preventing the contact). The second does indicate that no contact whatsoever is taking place and might hint at a network issue. You can try the difference by intentionally entering a wrong IP. I can't help any further because I'm waiting for a solution of #1. Super-
  14. Same, log is below. On the other hand, I can host a session and other people are able to connect to it without any problems - this part works good. dcs.log is here:
  15. Edit: My issue is better placed in this thread. I moved my post there. Super-
  16. This is interesting for me because I am on an SSD. Are the logs so big while the sim is running and shrinked (->shrunk??) on exit or are your files always that big? If the latter, I'm glad not to see this issue. Super-
  17. I couldn't saw it down to 0,1 mm, so go for 90 of course. If it doesn't fit quite right, sand it down a little. Should work however, thats within tolerance. Super-
  18. Prefixes: ^-6*10 - micro ^-3*10 - milli ^-2*10 - centi -- ^3*10 - kilo ^6*10 - mega and ~39.37 inches in a metre. Decimal :P Super-
  19. Is this with the Force Feedback option on or off (check in options, don't remember which register). It seems to be on by default (sometines?) and causes all kinds of funny flight issues. Super-
  20. Thanks for the insight! Super-
  21. Speed has a mod for incorrect bullseye calls out here. I am not sure we are talking the same issue here. Edit: This is his mod I mean. Super-
  22. I've been watching this video a few times and I wonder how the defensive aircraft/pilot receivs the information that he just would have been hit. They drop a flare to indicate this (I think), but how is it triggered? Some thoughts: -Data link from the training missile and receiver on the planes -AWACS control -Radio command and manual flare release -??? If 1), does that work with guns as well? Thanks! Super-
  23. Thanks Evil. The image itself already helps me (to figure out what I need in the first place). Super-
  24. Can these eventually be bundeled with the retail version in the future? That would make an invaluable addition for my shelf. Like the single big Falcon box, to pick up the theme :) Super-
  25. Can you please tell me how the desk is called? I need to find a office/computer desk that allows me to do analog (paper, not workshop) as well as pc work and simming. The issue is that I am a bit limited in the dimensions. Thanks! Super-
