  1. now if only we can make an auto update for the *.miz files that reference a real weather station in the black sea region
  2. as long as you allowed for the thickness of the boards used, I dont see why you couldnt. I used ply wood and I would recommend using it.
  3. where did you find it as I so far have not found this switch!
  4. did you find the correct 3 position toggle switch? ie: "momentary-off-on"
  5. "can work" and "works well" are 2 very different things. Far better just to get both, but if you dont have the $$ for both on the same week get the WH & use keys or something temp till the $$ for rudder pedals arrive.
  6. 20hrs in?? damn it took me 2 months to do all the cutting good enough, but then I had to do it free hand :(
  7. Awesome!! Whats it like flying in it? is visibility an issue? how close is it to the A10c pit from the pilots POV? we need details man :P
  8. Target does update the bios in both controllers. Even if you dont use it for anything else, I recommend checking if you're up to date.
  9. agreed that music is great, could we have it as the default DCS:World music then have the other tracks load based on what airframe you chose?? (you know A10c them KA50 theme etc? )
  10. I cant say first hand but I have heard good things about the latter from those who can.
  11. looking good. I always love to see real parts used.
  12. TARS wont come out of standby and reports my DCS version as being 1.2.1.5970 :( I have 1.2.3 of course other in 161 also have this issue. any one else have this issue?
  13. F-18 is on my list will watch this thread :)
  14. great work so nice to see a Russian jet get a pit.
  15. the lowest pic just screams "what will I tell her when she gets home" very jealous. oh and I would have the hump behind the canopy go.
  16. Awesome looking pit, always thought it looked much to clean, not like it was used by the forces at all ;) Gun gas? wonder if that will ever make it i :D
  17. I have only heard of people using RD to view things already on the PC. sadly the only thing DCS I use on Android is DCS manager and it doesnt do exports of MFCD's but the list of airdrome information is very helpful.
  18. Welcome to the forums and DCS world. if you in the single player DCS got to: options > controls > where it says Layer at the top in black, select "A-10c sim" you can now set up your controls for the A10-c in simulator mode.
  19. I started with a GP40 myself, using it is easy something a 6year old could do so its not a bad move at all, it just cant take analog inputs. the the LeoBodnar256A13 or B256A13 if you are going to do a whole pit it will be cheaper and will have less USB ports and power cables used. Just be aware it doesnt have screw terminals like the GPwiz so soldering it is! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80201&highlight=leobodnar
  20. what about the tinsy that can be made to behave like a HID and is cheap as chips. dont know how hard it would be to make custom code for tho.
  21. Planing on using Helios with the phidget interface. yeah, thought I'd have to set up a reduction gearing so I will have to visit the local RC shop to get a few different gears for R&D:prop:
  22. I had the idea that if I was to visit a suitable 2nd hand venue I could grab a few 'old' printers and pillage the stepper motors from them. But this begs the question would I be able to use them with say a phidget? Does anyone have any experience with this? Or are servo motors the only way to go for gauges in DCS?
