  1. I understand that. Was trying to explain to the person I quoted how the Q1/2/3/4 thing works. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  2. No, the newsletter said "by the end of Q1" so it could be mid Feb. Just won't be after the end of March if their current time line stands. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  3. It's been a few weeks since I flew the Hornet because of Christmas etc so it may have changed, however I have seen this before. I put it down to being a bug, usually for me master arm off, deselect the weapon and cycle the lower on the TPOD tends to sort it out. Like you though I have not found out what causes it not to ground stabilise, which is the part I believe to be the bug. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  4. Fuel page on the DDI is the easiest way in a hurry. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  5. On the Hornet the default is backspace on the keyboard. No idea if it's the same here. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  6. Knee board and China Marker, write down the current time, add five...... Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  7. Check my thread out here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=210313 Skip to the last few posts to get what you're after. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  8. I have already created a backup for the file. How would I go about using OvGME for this, I took a quick look last night but didnt have time to work out how it works. Could you point me to a tutorial if you know of one please?
  9. Thanks, this has worked as I wanted it to. I thought any mods like this would affect the Integrity check which is why I hadnt used it before. For my own education, will this be over written on updates to the F18 or only if they make any changes to the default key binds?
  10. If you click on and select the missile does it show its track and point of origin etc?
  11. Its been 18 months since I started this thread and having just returned to the M2000C after a long time they have updated her a bit and I noticed they have a new, well new since I flew her last, Air Brake binding (Airbrake On, Else Off) command which is exactly what I would like in the F18 so it doesn't break IC and so I don't have to rely on an external macro which can be buggy and fail sometimes with the AB deployed having to use key binds to retract before the macro is of use again. Any chance this seemingly tiny addition can be added yet? We were given the option of realistic TDC Depress so this is no less a hit to realism.
  12. Thanks for the replies, I guess I will have to stick at it till it goes in, the addition of both the tabular and graphical images above into the knee board will help as well. I was thinking more about ehybi clicked with the other aircraft more so and it may well be that I have been flying those from initial release and so have learn as each new feature is added where as the A10 it's all there from day one which has caused some learning curve issues. 13. For some reason I just don't click with the HOTAS in the A10 which everyone seems to say is really intuitive. I love the F18 and Harrier HOTAS and have no issues with remember those, and even the Mirage seemed to just work for me. The A10 though, for the life of me I just can't seem to get it and it is part of the reason I am avoiding the F16 for now too as I believe they are similar with the long and short commands etc? Does anyone have any good tips for how to get on with the A10 please as other than the HOTAS I quite enjoy this jet and want to fly her more! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  14. It's a Northern Ireland fit Gazelle with FLIR pod, known in the Army as Heli-Telly (Telly is short for Television in British slang) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  15. Is this on launch from a carrier per chance? If so make sure your flaps are set correctly. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  16. I know this is the viper forum but I had the same thing with the F18 earlier this week, had to cycle its power and it started working. Might be a bug in the current build since they share so much code? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  17. I also use Opentrack and a declan clip. A bit of tweaking of the filters for input and output and it's as pretty much as good as TIR in my opinion. As I already owned the PS eye I only needed the clip. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  18. Not all the time you would want it off the side of the HUD. When caged you will notice a the ghost flight path indicator is shown and will still show where you are going but leaving full visibility of the HUD and attitude ladder. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  19. The Blues have custom software on their jets (listen to the Fighter Pilot Podcast Episode) so I wouldnt take into account what they can do compared to the front line jets as common.
  20. In my opinion whilst this may not technically be a bug I find it hard to believe from a purely Human Factors & Flight Safety point of view that the real F18 would ever act like this on a take off with auto set (yes I know it shouldn't happen, but mistakes do happen periodically).
  21. Happened again tonight, but this time periodically I got an airfield view. Here is Abu Dhabi Int where the map should be. This is essentially a view under the aircraft.
  22. Happened to me in the past as well, but only for a single flight and has not then happened again since. Not been able to reproduce it sadly. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  23. For me, I have it in order of the keyboard, as when I am writing down 9line co-ordinates and then typing them in from my kneeboard I default to data entry mode from work.
  24. Agreed he talks about the tracks however if a rotary aircraft was in a hover and not moving the track should still move smoothly even when the donor updates it when our f18 is turning. Yes the tracks will "jump" on refresh but for those seconds they are not being updated they should rotate smoothly like the compass rose. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  25. The OP is not talking about the refresh rate of the other tracks he is talking about the rate at which the entire screen is rendered. Take for example that there no other tracks on the SA page except for the route, WP, couple of s2a range rings, when you turn the aircraft the entire display stutters at a low "refresh rate" similar to the HUD on the F14, whereas it should likely move fluidly and smooth with no stutter like the F18 HUD.
