  1. I'm curious about the level of interest for this. Would people pay for an upgrade that would allow them to fly a different version?
  2. For me, the best part about multicrew is the ability to relax and not have to do everything yourself. Having a co-pilot to navigate, call out targets, or even gun will make a huge difference. If you're feeling chilled out, you can jump in the door gunner spot and just ride around and let someone else do all the work. Can't wait.
  3. Bought Blackshark 2 again. Already have the upgrade version, but as I have everything else on steam now, I think it's worth it.
  4. "Note: To revert to the original RAM allocation and undo this change, repeat the above procedure, but type BCDedit/deletevalue IncreaseUserVA at the command line." A quick google search found that. http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/663/32bit+Windows+3GB+Switch I haven't tried it, but it looks ok.
  5. Can't wait. Thanks for moving this btw. I think my bookmark for the FC3 forum was outdated.
  6. Maybe try a Steam install and see if it works there.
  7. Very interested in this! Things are looking good for my DCS time :)
  8. Consider using Steam as well. You can run the steam install and keep your old one.
  9. Steam will download much much faster than the regular client. BS2 upgrade is the only real reason to avoid it. You can also have the steam install run beside the regular one.
  10. Practice moving from speed into hover at height. That way, if you mess it up, you can pull out of the VRS. Just add lateral speed and you'll recover. Once you get good at doing it higher up, then work on landings.
  11. Available now :) Just need to wait for key updates. Great stuff. Actually, I forgot about BS2 :( My upgrade wont register. But still, moving forward!
  12. Can we transfer our keys to steam now we don't need the old cd version anymore? FC3 is the only reason I don't use the steam version.
  13. Console gamers are not the target audiance. The arcadey version of the game would be more suitable for console gamers, but there are a lot of those already. I think most people who want to play sims already have PCs.
  14. Welcome to the world of DCS helicopters! Once you've autostarted, you'll need to make sure your autopilot is switched on. That will help you control the beast. On the right of your pilot's knee, there are 3 lights (left, middle, right) on the box between you and the co-pilot. Swith the left two on with mouse clicks. Now when you take off, you will need to use the rudder (usually joystick twist / pedals) to keep the helo from spinning. You may also need to adjust the stick - I think it's push back and to the left a little from memory. Don't feel bad about crashing, flying is a great challenge. It takes a while to get used to, but it really is a pleasure. Edit: Slow typing award goes to me I guess :)
  15. I made my own multiplayer version of the oil rig test map. Spent a few hours there getting used to the Huey and the Mi-8. Landing, hovering, circling. Great place to practice.
  16. Excellent, thanks for looking into this Alpha. There's a dramatic difference between landing on a hard surface and on the grass. I'm guessing this isn't the way things are supposed to be.
  17. Landings can be fine, but take offs can be real rough. The bouncing is too much.
  18. Glad it's not just me then. Makes picking up troops tricky.
  19. When landing on grass, the airframe REALLY bounces. It's as if the ground is made of rubber. If it was only landing, it wouldn't be too bad. But when you try and take off, suddenly the front or the back will shoot up in the air really quickly. Anyone else experience this?
  20. Have you tried opening the doors to talk to the ground crew? My guess is they can't hear you.
  21. Anyone else love how smoothly these launch now? Now more huge FPS hits on release. Much more controllable. Unfortunately, I have other frame rate issues with 1.2.7, so I can't really enjoy it properly.
  22. The co-pilot/autopilot thing is only really there until co-op is implemented. Both positions should be taken by real people. However, a lot of people do fly solo, so it would be good to fix it.
  23. Just kick them off the server.
  24. Agreed. Hope they do the SU-25 as DCS level one day.
