  2. Make sure the tgp isn't 'masked'. Is there an 'M" flashing on the tgp image? If so, the tgp is masked and won't track
  3. I get that with specific servers. some servers work well, others not so much.
  4. ralt + END for left engine rctrl + end for right engine
  5. after setting target in tgp, are you setting it as SPI? TMS up long I believe, with tgp as SOI. Edit: to be clear, I'd look at the track and tell you what is wrong, but at work until morning :/
  6. Thanks. I ended up making my own mission and tried out the gun funnels. Now I"ll practice a bit, make a mission where a heli crosses path down low and I have to switch to AA mode quickly. For the most part, I've just ignored the loaded aim9s and AA altogether. Now that I know how to get to it, utilize the aim9 and gun funnels, it's time to practice.
  7. Only because I'm sitting next to an ex-Alconberry a10 tech, I want to ask, are the circuit breakers modeled? He gave me an idea to test, to see what would happen in the sim: 1. start apu 2. pull igniter circuit breaker 3. start left engine (won't start) let motor a minute or so 4. push igniter circuit breaker in 5. profit :)
  8. Also stuck in this mission. Does the same thing with either 1111 or 120 w/temp voice fix: I get to 'maneuver behind tgt1 to get a lock' with sidewinder, get lock. Nothing after that, the training just stops. At least I now know how to get to AA mode and use a sidewinder but now need to learn more about using the gun against aircraft.

  10. That was easy to spot :) you left the apu generator off and went straight to starting engines. Need to review your startup checklist :)/ edit: not exactly certain that would cause the engine not starting or not, but definitely need the apu generator on.
  11. There ya go! Also, might want to check in dcs world options/settings if you have random failures checked or not. In any case, the fix is to let the engine motor a bit by clicking the switch next to the throttle. This lets any excess fuel burn off. Then restart engine start procedure (throttle all the way back, engine off, engine on)

  15. They are the same. Although I've noticed the skeets appear to be upside down, with the copper disk facing up instead of down.
  16. I would think if ED allows it, then it's up to their standards?
  17. Just curious, but if you don't have the CA module, your questions appear moot. You won't be able to add player control of ground vehicles as you won't be able to add 'game/ground commander/jtac" roles to the map. Any map you create will just be a standard non-CA MP map. Just as I can't create any mission involving flying the Ka-50 or P51, as I don't own those modules. Or am I seeing this wrong?

  20. Just found this out today: if you drive close to water/river, you leave no dust trail.
  21. f2 is for aircraft. f7 is for ground units. You can leave your aircraft. As soon as you take command of a vehicle, you lose access to your plain, as AI takes it over.
  22. Didn't try any drifting, but I got it flying off some sweet jumps.
  23. You guys need to provide traks. I just tested it myself: put an M1A2 on one side of a building, and a T80 on the other, facing each other. They might as well have been on different sides of the map, completely ignoring each other. I did three tests: Large building, small building, no building. The did not see through the buildings in the first 2 tests. Both reacted within seconds in the last test w/no buildings. Building test 1.trk Building test 2.trk Building test 3.trk
  24. Civilian traffic doesn't interract with sim traffic. They just pass through one another.
