  1. The effect, that is spoiling your effort for nice, smooth and coordinated turn is called "gyroscopic precession". You should learn something about it and about its influence on the helo in left and in right turn. Anticipating this with cyclic stick is the key to the turns as you want them to be  http://www.copters.com/aero/gyro.html http://helicopterflight.net/gyroscopic%20P.htm
  2. You're right, it is something to think about for the devs and something to try for testers
  3. Well my friend, this is definitely an interesting idea. But one thing came on my mind - you shouldn't never forget, where you left your cursor, or you will end in turning your head left and right to search for it. Cursor, hey cursor! Where are you? Oh here you are, good doggie, err cursor  Imho leaving the cursor as it is now and making it "magnetic", or attachable to the knobs and switches would be better for cockpit clicking, as we can see in Falcon BMS.
  4. Good work Peter, as always  I admire your dedication to the DCS World... :worthy:
  5. Try the autostart cheat... Anyway, everything is alright for me in 1.2.5.
  6. Here you can see both, black and gray smoke. Imho it is caused by the position of light source, aka the sun :smilewink:
  7. Maybe it is due to the camera facing the sun...
  8. The effect itself looks great, but that black smoke looks wierd. Shouldn't it be white or grey?
  9. This is really great and entertaining mission, but I'm experiencing very low framerate during it, less than 20 most of the time even if I'm running it offline. Is it caused by the scripting engine? Most of other missions are runing at sufficient FPS around 30 and more. My specs: AMD PhenomII x4 955 @ 3,8GHz 4GB Ram Sapphire AMD HD7870 OC edition
  10. Sorry, but I cant help myself...
  11. Just press R to reset it. It isnt clickable (yet?)
  12. Your doubts about shooting accuracy of our brave Red Army soldiers is disturbing me, comrade IonicRipper :D Seriously, youre right. Max lenght of one burst for some accurate shooting is 3 rounds. More is just a wasting of ammo. I know that, I was shooting Sa vz.58, which is in service in Czech Army and uses same ammo. And it is even more accurate than Kalach https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vz._58
  13. Kalashnikov is not a sniper rifle, but in hands of an experienced shooter at the range of 500m is accurate enought to hit your Huey :smilewink:
  14. The statement was: Nevada map will take profit from EDGE technology... That doesn't mean that if you see a screenshot from Nevada terrain it is inevitably rendered by EDGE.
  15. Exactly, if one day the free Toad 3d pit will come, it won't be due to current users' whining, it will be ED's marketing decision focused on potential undecided future customers. Simle and pragmatic :smilewink:
  16. Imho, it increases the drag at least...
  17. Try to post a track, then we can tell you more.
  18. Thanks guys. Of course, combat or tactical landings are a different ball game, you are flying Huey more like an airplane there...:)
  19. My landing practice:
  20. I made a little example video where you can see how to land more or less safely :smilewink:
  21. Never tried it, but imho it helps you to go straight down the runway without correcting the yaw tendency with pedals.
  22. Gaming classics
  23. Strange. Try this - press and hold trim - move the stick somewhere and stay there - release the trim - let your hand go off the stick now the it should stay still in the position. Maybe it is only a matter of getting used to its behavior... In BS I can fly the trimmed machine with my hands off.
  24. You should add a little spring force, the stick will better hold its position.
