  1. ^^ I've witnessed the same thing from my tacview files. Unfortunately, it's always *my* 27er that misses, not my enemy's. :D
  2. I was thinking this was a good April fools prank... until I saw the interview date is later today.
  3. Gettin' some! Great videos!
  4. The only plane homebrew plane Iran is going to get airborne is more likely to look something like this...
  5. An easy way to work with bullseye calls in the A-10 is to enter them in the offset page of the CDU to create new waypoints.
  6. Holy cow, that pilot in the video is badass. I've setup a little mission where you attack a convoy, and its become clear that I definately need more rocket practice... As far as the in-game fuzing options, hopefully I can do some testing this weekend to see if they're even modeled. In the mean time, I've learned that delayed fuzing is useful against armored vehicles, where the fragmentation after impact is more effective against the crew inside. (I'll see if I can find that reference). But yes, the concept of having the munition remain intact enough to determine that it's going to delay for a certain amount time after smashing into a target is is pretty mind-blowing... I'd like to find more information on exactly how this is accomplished.
  7. When someone figures out how to do two seat aircraft well enough, *maybe* then you'll see it.
  8. Maybe a vehicle group could do the job? Like putting a supply truck near a road? Is that how is re-arming accomplished in CA? If so, maybe extend the function to the appropriate aircraft?
  9. It's as easy as you're thinking... Go to options, controls, x52 column, and map away.
  10. Lol, these are all amazing.
  11. I found how it fails to advance regardless of win/loss to be strange too. From what I remember, the A-10C campaign continues on either way, your mission success rate is impacted, but you'll still make it all the way through.
  12. LOL. Ghost ride the whip!
  13. :music_whistling:
  14. I haven't been able to find any information on how to effectively employ the HVAR fuze setting. I played around with it in the training mission, but I didn't notice one setting being more effective against an particular type of target vs the other. Does anyone have idea when to use impact delay vs. instant fuzing?
  15. CBU-105's are like cheating when attacking tight groups if you learn to adjust the HOF and throw in some Kentucky windage. My "Kill everything in sight" loadout is 6x mav-d's, 6 x gbu-12's, 2x cbu-105's, and a CBU-97. Need to drop the fuel to 60% or so to keep the weight somewhat under control... That load out is OK for mass destruction but it leaves you a sitting duck in high threat areas and is kind of boring and impersonal... I have a lot more fun when I go light and get in the dirt with minimal fuel, 4 mavs, a couple 38's and drum of 30mm.
  16. Double check that the game set to the monitor's native resolution?
  17. The more I fly it the more I like it. It really shows you where your weaknesses are that's for sure... Say, how do you enable PAC on this damn thing? ;)
  18. Freetrack user here! IMHO, headtracking is on par with a joystick as far as the "must have to fly" list. Yes, you can play without, but that's like flying with a keyboard.
  19. I'm glad this poll was created. We all know that it would be out already, the only issue is that they couldn't agree on what day/time to release it! Now that it's settled, we're good to go!
  20. Nice find. Love the hawg!
  21. Great idea, I hope it's "coming soon in a feature list near you!".
  22. That's horrible. There are a ton of vets out there that aren't receiving the mental health help they need. It's terrible for a man trying to help them become a victim as well. RIP.
  23. That's badass.
  24. Pros/Cons for each. The Russian one gives a better indication for signal strength, but the American one can ID specific types of radar, and indicate all their positions simultaneously. Whether one or the other is "a lot better" is open for debate.
  25. LOL, the hop in & fly approach is fun, isn't it? I'm not sure if it was the same guy writing all the things I was seeing, but the reviews appeared to be pretty well mixed. Certainly does seem to be a love-hate relationship. I started getting into the dogfighting yesterday. The AI is tough! That fight lasted forever! At least 10 minutes... We'd get into tight scissors, I'd eventually find myself slipping further into defensive, and I'd unload and extend, then we'd come back to a head-to-head pass (that guy doesn't miss much) and then right back into scissors. After several cycles of this pattern the damage I'd take on each head to head engagement forced me to bail out. :D
