  1. Nope not interested.. Rise Of Flight handles my WW1 interests nicely..
  2. Old PC crashed so not able to deactivate the licenses, built a new PC and DCS is installed on it's own dedicated drive so moved the drive to the new PC and received the warnings that modules ned to be reactivated. Reactivate them all but when I try to fly anything all I see is the F10 map and no way to get to the cockpit of the plane.. Happens with all modules. Obviously a licensing issues but how do I resolve this since I already reactivated the modules?
  3. And some more excellent clarification. I feel a little better that I wasn't totally losing my mind regarding what I thought I had read.. Now I am back to being a bit disturbed at the thought of breathing engine bleed air! Thanks!
  4. Thank you very much for that clarification as I thought it odd and a bit alarming to use oxygen from the engines.. Your explanation makes perfect sense now. Thanks!
  5. I believe that the oxygen supply IS related to the engine as the oxygen is pulled from the engine itself.. (I don't know how that works, but I remember that when the F-22 had issues with the "Raptor Cough" it was surmised that fumes were being pumped in from the engine since the oxygen is fed from the engine..) Turns out in the case of the F-22 that the cough and issues they were having was actually due to the oxygen lines being made of the wrong material and was breaking down causing toxic fumes for the pilots. They replaced the lines with the correct material and all is well now.. But my takeaway from that situation was I found out that the oxygen is pulled in from the engines so if the engines are nut running this will directly affect the pilot oxygen supply.. I believe this is rather typical of fighter planes today..
  6. What sends flags up for me is how consistent the issue is at 1 hour of flight time.. Are you certain that you don't have some other app running in the background that is kicking in at the 1 hour mark? Really strange that it is that consistent.. Really sounds like something scheduled is running at 1 hour and messing things up for you..
  7. What he said! Also keep in mind that DCS is for the most part a single threaded app (I know, I know it uses one thread for sound and one for the rest, but the point is that multi core is no advantage in DCS) SINGLE CORE performance is much more important so generally it makes more sense to buy I5 rather than I7 if all you are going to do is DCS. You didn't mention the speed of your processor, but I suspect it is more than adequate with the rest of the specs.. I would wait for the following: 1> When you NEED to update 2> Wait and see what AMD has to offer with their next gen chips 3> Maybe wait to see what Intel responds back to AMD's chips and see if they get off their rears and start providing a serious jump in performance rather than the measly updates they have provided in the last few years since AMD wasn't competitive.

    Any guess?

But WAIT! Now I am not special anymore.. Thanks a LOT Skate... :(
  9. Sith you might as well close this thread now as he will not even try any suggestions provided.. Total waste of the day..
  10. And again no response to my suggestion.. So basically you want to whine rather than actually look for suggestions that might help.. DONE with this...
  11. Hey buddy did you read my earlier post or are you having too much fun bashing folks instead? Do you want assistance or are you here to simply troll?
  12. Alright I should just walk and let you fester in your awesome attitude, but based on a statement you made earlier.. (Something about buying this module in early beta) I would recommend uninstalling the module and then re downloading it and reinstalling it.. Possible that you have not been getting any recent updates and so you are still using the original airframe with it's original issues. I had this exact issue with one of the helicopters and just about went nuts trying to figure it out because everyone was telling me I didn't know how to fly and that is why I was constantly hitting VRS and cratering. Turned out the issue was something wrong with the updater and I was not getting the fixed models so DCS had fixed the issue but I wasn't getting the fixes..
  13. LOL You truly ARE a ray of sunshine! Wow..
  14. Based on your repeated feedback to suggestions ... Good Luck! Cya
  15. The lack of knowledge in this thread regarding the difficulties of creating one of these modules is staggering.. But whatever.. Below is a posting I made back in 2015 regarding the topic of trainers in DCS and I think it is still relevant.. So jumping into a $30 million airplane and cratering it into the ground repeatedly sounds much more realistic? For folks that are interested in realism, trainers make perfect sense so you can learn how to fly just like they do in real life... Once mastered, then you graduate to more sophisticated planes and then MAYBE you might have a chance of not crashing your brains out repeatedly.. I for one am a huge fan of the trainer philosophy and am looking forward to real flight training by VEAO systems.. (And maybe some other devs will follow suit) As far as which plane to buy..? I am buying them all once available in AFM... They will all fly differently and have their own character.. Kinda like asking what girl to take home.. Blonde, Brunette or Redhead.. They all look good to me... (But since I am married, all I can do is LOOK) LOL
  16. Can you edit the original post since this is not a Corsair issue? (And sorry about your luck)
  17. I just tried the latest version of the Gazelle and it is better for sure and on the right track, but at this point IMHO it still feels too linear for my tastes.. By linear I mean once you set a particular trajectory it stays that way.. Not quite on "Rails" but the sensation is still similar to that.. Compared with the Huey which I feel is more realistic in that it wants to float all over the place.. Helicopters (especially smaller ones) act much like an air hockey puck... When trying to hover it WILL move in one direction or other unless you put in minute inputs to correct... And unlike the air hockey analogy, it will do this on all axis including up and down. I don't get this sensation with the Gazelle in it's current state of tune.. And for the record I DO have experience as a pilot in very small helicopters and I can tell you from experience that light helicopters are amazingly twitchy and require very tiny inputs to control them.. At the moment the Gazelle is great fun to fly but not yet completely realistic.. This is not a criticism simply my opinion and take it for what it is worth..
  18. Then not sure why you are asking for the speed of the plane then as in real life there is no way to know what the speed would be.. You have to come in and figure it out trial and error and match your speed to the tanker..
  19. Make sure that you don't have a light issue.. Sit down like you would to fly, and tunr around and see if there are any light sources in the background. (I closed my door to my office and all of my track IR issues went away immediately as there was a light in the other room and it interfered with the Track IR... (Try closing the door and close shades and make certain no light sources behind or to the side of the uniit..)
  20. And another GENIUS whining about a BETA product because it has issues.. Hey Einstein, "Early Access' and "Beta" means the product is not complete yet and may have some issues. If you can't accept that then don't buy beta.
  21. And what everyone is forgetting is that even if they HAVE the data required, one cease and desist letter from the parent company of whatever plane you want to sell will kill the project immediately.. You have to obtain PERMISSION to simulate someone else' intellectual property.. Why do you think they go to such lengths to obtain agreements with these companies?
  22. And your reasoning behind this dubious statement would be....?
  23. You sure about that being the first report? The OP posted this in 2009 so the bug has been out there much longer than 2012... :music_whistling:
  24. 18 pages on this oft-repeated topic? Seriously? We have now crossed into the land of TROLLING as the reasons have been stated repeatedly. AGAIN The plane and revision was selected by the DEV for some very specific reasons that we are not aware of. TRUST ME when I say they don't arbitrarily select a version as they have been berated with these kinds of threads repeatedly.. They have their reasons and it is often legalities or access to a specific airframe that may be the decisive factor.. As for trainers and the statement that they should never have been made.. That is your OPINION nothing more.. Don't give it more credence than it deserves as your opinion is no more important than any one else's here.. It always kills me when people say a particular plane is of little value in a particular form even though THOUSANDS of them were produced and used successfully.. They may be of little value to YOU and how you would use them, but once again this is more a function of you rather than viability of the plane.. If you don't like the model provided then by all means don't buy it..
