  1. I have to say, I also like to use it operator (livery) accurate, at least to some extend. Flying with a French skin, I always use Magics. If I fly Spanish or Greek, I use JULI's, J's or P's, mostly JULIs though of course. The AI is cheating as well... Couln't use an AIM-9 on a French skin...
  2. Must have been Cs or Ds I guess? Absolutely not sure though.
  3. It's equal to a YaJ-52, isn't it? Did the same mistake yesterday, even though I speak German as my native language.^^ Then I remembered Walhalla stating the enemy will come from the direction of Dunkirk, trigger kicks in when you are in that region. But I thought I saw something else that is strange: 2nd and 3rd formation didn't really attack, at least what I saw out the window. I will check the tacview though. I ordered them to attack via F10, so as I understood it should've worked.
  7. Sales are not the usual case. And during sales, also the newer and better locking maps are cheaper. It doesn't make it easier to convince people in buying it anyway. But that's another topic.
  8. I kinda lost hope for NTTR and even though I was completely not excited when the "Top End Australia" map was announced, I feel like it will replace the NTTR for me. The problem is, I would love to do trainings on it with our virtual SQN, but nobody wants to buy it for $50 (?), it's not worth this price for most people. And if I see the state of the newer maps, I can actually understand it. I would still buy it, but I am biased.
  9. The most important thing on a Jag module would be the top mounted sidewinders for me. I freakin' love that. So please guys, I have no clue, but now you know what variant you need to put on the wish list for me^^
  10. I had the feeling, the JULI is a tad more flare resistant than the Magic II (and 2 seconds off the rail quicker, that is a lifetime in a dogfight), hence I like the JULI better atm. Though, the Magic II is more maneuverable, with improving skills on the F1, I should choose it more often. Actually, I don't know which has the greater range.
  11. The Keflavik F-4Es look nice. But apart from that, I have to admit, the short nosed Phantoms simply look so much better.
  12. Not sure if the swapped windshield would really require another FM.
  13. Always depends on how you are flying. What you describe is exactly what I am experiencing with older aircraft such as F-86F and F1CE: Don't have to fiddle with alignment, TGPs, WPs, TDC depress <profanity>. Instead, turning on the engine, full throttle, ... Always personal preference. When I want to fly a modern yet, I want to use its complexity and system depth and for that I have to focus.
  14. Nice, thanks, always like completely random comments.
  15. I generally agree with your general point and also love the fact that CW is going to be so much better. The modern stuff simply cannot give me the same feeling as the CW stuff. But what precisely would you count to the point I quoted? The word "most" was triggering me to be curiouse.
  16. Birds like the F-16, F/A-18, Razbam's M2000 and also HBs F-14 came with AAR out of the box (from day one). Of course, due to open beta there can be bugs at the beginning, but I would pretty safely assume that we can do AAR from day one.
  17. I agree, I would be cool to have as a checkbox option in ME, but looks really funky, actually a bit strange. Don't know if I like the looks of this or not.
  19. I was talking about updates in terms of bug-fixes and patches for issues. My personal experience was better with Razbam than with Ugra about the bugs I personally reported.
  21. Don't forget IDF/AF. They heavily used F-4Es as well, not only over the coming Sinai map, but also in the Bekaa Valley. Well, what should I say? As above said by quite a few poeple, Sinai and PG terrain already know Phantoms, Falklands was a playground for UK Phantoms and is a very nice map that gets constants updates (contrary to Syria), Kola area for sure was a playground for Keflavik US Phantoms (and other european useres from time to time) and would have been a very hot real one in case of an even un-smarter humanity. We already have quite a few US planes that are not even trying to simulate other nations service. So from my side I am very happy that we get the maps at least. Otherwise we could only play in the name of the greatest nation ever.
