  1. Imagine you are flying single pilot: "Ah, no problem, the bird is well trimmed, I'll just go check for the cargo through the hell hole, be right back"
  2. I think the logistics stuff will come for sure. ED stated once they wanted to use the Hind as 'troop transport testbed', basically the same the used the Apache as a test bed for the new FLIR engine. All this is also needed for the C-130 and probably the dynamic campaign, I remember the scope of the DCS:DCE was huge, with the whole chain of *things* behind a confilct. I even wonder if moral could become a thing... I just hope that older modules will benefit from this as well, like the Huey and Hippo, their age really shows more and more.
  3. Exactly. Harrier as well!. Building/playing my own 1988 campaign flying out of Akrotiri (Harrier) and Paphos with the Mirage F1 & maybe F-16. With some older Winders it would be more fun.
  4. Did I hear: Captured Kusnezow / fictional NATO ski-jump carrier (in form of the Kusnezow^^) launching F-4Es? Count me in!
  5. Oh man. For whatever reason I was smart enough to post this topic here. It was my intention on having this in the Viper section... So I was talking of having AIM-9L and 9P for the F-16C of course... Wanted to post this in the wishlist category of the Viper. Maybe an admin could move it? Would that be NineLine?
  6. Jesus, thats basically it's own aircraft, no, rocketship. Freakin' huge
  7. Would be cool to have this option to recreate the Greek F1CG with 4x AIM-9.
  8. Would it be possible to make some older AIM-9 variants available for some older scenarios? Sadly it was chosen to not make other retro weapons with great cold war potential available. I was hoping though that AIM-9L or P are somewhat upwards/downwards/plug&play compatible IRL and could be used. It is already kinda hard to recreate Greek, Norwegian or other European Vipers. We would be thankful for a bit more fun on this side of the pond, as these nations ordered different equipment.
  10. That's only one reason to not use steam for DCS. Plus Steam is taking 30% of the share which otherwise could be in ED's or 3rd party hands.
  11. I think the most obvious reason is the wide array of weapons available ("multi-role") on the E. Plus probably the equality to all export variants, like the F, EJ and all other nations E's like Greece, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Australia etc. This will give a lot of sales and support the development of the naval variant, which I have to admit, simply looks better. Never was a fan of the long nose. But I also think the E has the more interesting toys to play around. I will fly the heck out of both for sure.
  12. Bananabrai

    Big regret

    Clickbait... F1 is awesome.
  13. You must be new here It'll still take a while.
  14. Even more funny, the F-4F was just bought as a stop-gap solution between F-104 and Jäger90 (initial name for the Eurofighter project), it was only supposed to be in service for 10-20 years max. Typhoon was supposed to be FOC in the (early) 90s.
  15. I can also confirm this. No sound for almost every vehicle. Playing Liberation 6.0.0 in SP, MP (hosted by my game computer) and also MP hosted by my dedicated server. Probably I have several logs available if necessary. How is the state of this?
  16. Perfect. That even counts for the whole of 2023. Hero!
  17. I was wrong/confused about this just a couple of weeks ago as well. The engines you are seeing are always F100. The only difference is, that some operators/nations/units fly it with turkey feathers or without. no turkey feathers vs turkey feathers The Israelis seem to fly with them more often on their F-15I's The F110 nozzles look different, we have them in-game on the F-14B F-15K with F110, and here a close up of the engine. The feathers look a bit roundish seen from the engines profile. Around minute 1:10 - 1:12, they video does a close pass by on the top aft part of the jet. You can see the classic look of the unfeathered F100s. Other parts of the video show the them featherd. Which is good I think, it means we can chose.
  18. And Germany. Actually it was longer in service with unified Germany than West Germany.
  19. I think this idea should be re evaluated by ED in general, at least for some parts of the game. I understand the criticality high, DCS is not some freely invented CoD or CS:Go thing, but the community shows great motivation and capability. The A-4, Skynet, Liberation or Moose are just some examples, that could be more or less somehow natively available or better tied to the game/easier to use.
  20. Was really hoping for some expansion and update. Vegas still looks pretty good, good enough for me, but the terrain mesh got a little old. Would be beautiful if China Lake or Edwards or Fallon could make it onto the map, but it was stated many times already that no change is planned. Let's hope plans are changed sometimes, although some core features are still more important to me
  22. @F-2, at least thats what Deano replied to my loadout wish, a modified B
  23. You can say you to me @phant In German language we distinguish between a formal "you" and an informal "you". Hence the "denglish" joke above, a direct translation from German to English^^ Just hit us in English for any question if you want, my Italian is only 30 days of duolingo... Sono un insegnante blu, ciao.
  24. Actually its not an F-15E. Sorry, couldn't resist
  25. Ne, das passt. So auch mein Kentnissstand. Gelb = live warhead, Braun = live propulsion. Ist also eher so ne role-play/milsim Sache m.M.n.
