  1. probably they will leave that job for a bigger overhaul. GCI integration maybe, who knows...
  2. I didn't use that pod so often. I will take a look. thanks
  3. I think the balance we are talking about is about give to every module at least the minimum to get a decent user friendly taking account IRL How to in battlefield. we are talking about some improvements in Ruforces. example, if Wag and Nick ordered to ED team to build F-16 block 50 module with extra unrealistic add as Aim-9X (not even the 10% of block 50 use that helmet or Aim-9X), how come Mig-29S still struggle without GCI or at least an improved AWACS experience. That is unbalance and not real simulation. Also sound a little biased in my opinion
  4. hoho seem you want go personal. It is very worrisome you have been included in a special group in this forum and now you feel so powerful to attack the expression of freedom of redforce pilots. So the question is, have you been included in that forum group because you don’t like Russian Aircraft?? because you are attacking my post when I explain some limitation in AWACS for Mig-29. You show anti redforce openly while you are part of a official group in this official forum…? This is very remarkable.
  5. Not too fast on that. I think I was telling ago I was notching this particular aircraft, with my altitude at 150m and he still be able to lock me from 25km range and me close to the ground in notch. That F radar in close search mode seem to be not real at all. Specially if the target is very low in altitude and the search aircraft is on the top 9000m. This is not real. the terrain background is too close to me and I have not approaching speed to the search aircraft so is no way in real life to get a track on Mig-29 in that case. but that was not the example I wanted to point out. I wanted to show only the AWACS keep telling automatic enemy from very far away while I have an enemy 25km over me. that is not acceptable. Awacs don't keep telling the most close randomly with bogey Dope. it is an authentic disaster in Multiplayer and we must hold down until AWACS finish to tell the whole paragraph to ask back again. Seem AWACS give priority to the threat pointed toward to me but not the closest one. that's is wrong. closest distance must be priority. The question is why AWACS keep telling automatically every single bogey dope that point toward me without me asking, instead should be automatically telling the closest one constantly. I was talking about Mig-29, remember we are dealing with no datalink in MFD so we need very hard improvements in that regard. I was just explaining that particular example with another example also not understandable the lock from very far with the ground in back side and targed tracked been in very low altitude. actually the behave of Aim-120 have changed a lot. it is a tend to shoot only from 10000m. I never see that before in DCS. the evade maneuver is basically useless with such unrealistic diving shoot. there is not limitation at all and then we have not scape. shooting Aim-120 like a rocket to the ground is just not real. the background terrain and altitude is not affecting the Aim-120 radar to get a lock in any circumstance. the simulation have became a no go in my opinion. Everything have become too easy for F fighters. No ECM, no terrain background for radar issues. it is like we go into a comercial game for kids. Mig-29S it is not the Serbian and Iraqi armed with short range missiles only. it is just a party for the new modules. very unrealistic. tactics have become useless in a lot of cases.
  6. Please make specially attention in the part he mentioned the performance of Russian Flares. Current 4gen flares are even bigger… keep buying fancy modules and have fun… Kids…
  7. This is a really interesting video from a real pilot. What he is telling there is the way and time spend in learn how deal with ambushes, how react to this particular situation. But this is a real life pilot with real life Aim-54. So for the fancy pilots got to get in the real deal with simulation you need feel that and be prepared for that. what we get instead: Mig-29 ask AWACS for the enemy position altitude, he already have it in his 9 notching at 35 km. No SAMs, No GCI…. What tell AWACS. enemy hot from 120km… that’s nasty, and unfair… that is the situation we got now. And for the Mig-29 surprise… the fan boy climb 9000m and shoot the Aim-120 with the help of the fantastic helmet that got position with the help of Datalink MFD information. Not even matter you are notching they shoot in interception. While Mig-29 are expecting an update for that particular closed enemy from AWACS we received enemy at 120 hot. They shoot the Aim-120 like a dumb rocket from 9000 and so on. Attention…!! Mig-29 at 150m altitude and Notching from 25km and with that background terrain noise in the radar of the aircraft and the radar of the Aim-120 bump…! Magically Hit. One more Mig-29 downed only in DCS…
  8. Is very false and poor honest say everywhere you are a super pilot of a (computer) simulator that don’t even make AI against the modern and Super weapons developed for you. that’s why to believe you are in a really simulation you will need to flies in a server with real frontline and Sams everywhere. then otherwise you are pretty close to Ace Combat arcade with the only difference you are fancy system operator to face disorganized fighters without proper AI. GCI should be added in work time hours for ED team. It is a Mig-29, 23, 21 to create A-A ambushes. the super pilots Aim-9X still don’t deal with such nasty ambushes. It is unbalanced of course
  9. As the Ka-50 don’t need warm up their ATGM when they reach the hot area in Battlefield they are ready for combat in few seconds. It is the way Mig-29 were designated as well. I understand the frustration for the fan boys telling us we are in FC3 level Migs when they are shoot down. But IRL have it such a few system simulated is a disadvantage. That’s why in that political situation Wags tell in every interview telling there are restrictions. Then FC3 level is the answer giving the community a weapon to response instead leaving old stuff against new tech. That will be awesome
  10. Yeah Mig-29K should be integrated as well as FC3 level. A good flight model as the current be integrated (PFM) and that A-G capability will be really needed for such a unbalanced integration now with Aim-9X also no full integrated in single unit IRL but we have it in every new module on the Air in DCS. So looking this picture created by the management of this simulator the Mig-29K with PFM flight physics and the proper weapons will be really good to face the unbalanced situation we got now.
  11. FC3 level Mig-29SMT will be pretty fair for a 2000 representation, also Mig-29K was the real last soviet development with some prototypes units, such program was restarted into Mig-29KM for Indians and Russian navy early 2000. so leaving Mig-29A without a proper GCI and without having a real representation of F fighters for 80’s. That’s will be unfair. In hardware level, in weapons level (Soviet Migs were ready with R-27 for that date) is not fair. when I use Mig-29 in multiplayers against new modules is terrible the AWACS call experience. It is the most disgusting thing see you have a fighter facing you at 40km and AWACS keep telling the position for the enemy 140km away. They must improve systems around the simulation for Mig-29 because those Mig were not intended to go independent. the only Russian fighter to go really independent in groups was Su-27. From the first batch they were equipped with the first proper datalink in the world working in network groups. For that moment USAF was not even close to that. But Migs need more from ED to get a proper simulation.
  12. It is not real. The package was not delivered with earlier R-60, but with R-60MK more advanced all aspect for compatibility with IRST. it the case of your mentioned real actions with Mig-29 in Serbia. As told you before the pilots were carrying R-73, maybe combined with R-60MK. did you ever watched the video where the real Serbian Pilots told they were carrying R-73? if the real pilot tell that it is not reasons for simulate actions with the early generation of R-60 such were a missile for Mig-21Bis and Mig-23. Ex Warsaw Pact now days probably don’t have any at all or very few R-73. (They must get maintenance) The first batch was in late 80’s and after that, export was very limit or any. And after they got in NATO, Russia stopped all about those Migs. So in that case it is a good reason to carry old weapons. In that case you will be simulating a late 2000 real situation for a logistic specific issue. Not a real war action. in the case of Iraq. They were all the way with R-60 earlier versions in real combat. Then you got a good reason.
  13. Considering Mig-29 9.12 were widely exported at 80’s and at 90’s the production was stopped for more than 10 years (real serie production) the real scenery should be against earlier 4 Gen fighters. in that case the way to limit the datalink to existing new modules is very complicated. by the way F-14A got Datalink in DCS?
  14. In real life this J-11 have the same engines from Su-27S or it is a downgraded export version engine?
  15. Brake radar lock. If enemy is high, climb up leaning to the oposite side of the enemy to archive better notch while you get the lowest possible speed on top.
  16. How evade the Aim-9X. In the video you will see the first merge was a victory for Aim-9X. Actually I decided left the raw video and don't cut this part because so, I show you my mistake. I didn't put the RPM low enough to get my engine colder and was too late for that launch. Also keep in mind the cold down take some seconds. the optimal temperature is 600 degrees Celsius or less (for this particular example). I show in the video the instrument for that. After that mistake you will see 3 kill in a row. Of course this video is only educational. I hold down until he shoot on me to try evade with flares. key here is make a solid flare spot to concentrate the heat in one place, that's why I keep facing him without a crazy move that make me activate afterburner and also so, I avoid a separate flares ejection. mission is the same from above. Good luck.
  17. To clarify. Mig-29, Su-27/33 and Su-25A brake wings if you pull the stick in certain Gs/Speed/Load wigs. F-15 is the only UFO FC3 that can do whatever you want. We have point that out in other threads after PFM added but seem F-15 is the forgiven bad boy of DCS and no change until date about. You win a dogfight with fuel tanks...
  18. This is a good way I have found to face the Aim-9X. In Dogfight the winner is the first that get visual contact, or the first got a shoot and the best in turning rate. Not always technology is in your favor for every situation. What I do: After the merge. I pull throttle to 80% and keep turning hard without get in blackout ( probably my speed will decrease until 500Km/h) My speed is lower but he is still desperate looking for 90 degrees lock. My R-73 will be in his way for that moment and he will get defending first. What everybody do is trying to get the best rear aspect as possible, but I give my cold front with my throttle in 80% and if I see a missile on my way I decrease throttle even more for a while and at the same time a bunch of flares. I do that with success. in the video I get 5 wins and a tie. In multiplayer the enemies Fan boys do a lot of flares as crazy and sometime they get out of flares before they get die. What I do in that case I wait until he get tired of flares launching or get out of them, and after that my R-73 go as a gift. I will make another video for the example of evade with flares the Aim-9X. Me against Aim-9X.miz
  19. 360 degrees? IRST in Mig-29M is forward search. The earlier 360 degrees seen under intake was abandoned and was not really IRST, was a targeting pod.
  20. How? Flying low in mountains without AAA facing you. Let’s be serious… That’s why this is a game.
  21. no is not yet implemented but mean while you can do some tactics that complement what they will add. I guess they will add it some day. anyway the tactics I am talking about are part of the GCI and Lazur. If we get GCI and Lazur and we keep doing the same stupid face on fight then is a waste of everything… Now we are struggling with that awful EWR. It is hard do it so because you don’t have a picture of the enemy. I will recommended to ED bringing back the Datalink to at least Mig-29S only as it is real some unit got Datalink for the time of end 80's. Like that we can compensate the leak of GCI tactical information. that will be reasonable, but in reality they will not do that because they have FC3 Russians as hunting ducks for the new modules.
  22. Mig-29A can do his original job from 80's. You just need the right strategy, the right server. Most of the server out there have not front line. you are fighting in open territory, Not real...
