Where do I pay? ;)
Im not a huge fan of the Hip, but after having seen what Belsimtek did with the Huey I'd be more than happy to buy more of their products :D
Weirdly enough I was thinking the same thing while taking the Huey for a spin earlier today. I am REALLY tired of the Black Sea-region... I think this is also one of the things that prevent a lot of people from getting into DCS.
While I am intrigued by the AFM, I dont really see myself paying for yet another FC3 level Flanker or Eagle. If they were going to be at the same level of fidelity as the A-10C I would be all over it.
It's a nice video, but I have said it before, and Ill say it again, the americans should have a look at the European Hornet demos to see how it's done. This is some very tame flying compared to the Swiss or Finnish Hornets.
Im hoping this will be added later, it's a bit cumbersome having to switch between positions. It's great to have the option to do so, but no so great having to.
When the Shark came out I thought it was incredibly difficult to fly, but I now see that the Shark is simple to fly compared to the Huey :P
Hovering in the Shark is easy, when I try to hover in the Huey she looks like a drunk ballerina.
Maybe Im doing something wrong or overlooked something in the manual, but when I change to another position the autopilot doesnt engage... Even when I use the key combinations written in the manual. What am I doing wrong? Flying and shooting is a bit too difficult :P
Had my first flight this morning, and loved it! Took off, flew a lap around Batumi, and landed. The landing was'nt the best, but at least I did'nt break anything :P
Hueyman: feel free to show us how its done ;)
Im currently working as an IT consultant for one of the biggest IT companies in Scandinavia. Basically Im making sure that our customer's IT systems are up and running, which means that some days I have a lot to do while other days are filled with Facebook and surfing forums :P
I noticed the same thing yesterday. I took advantage of the spring sale and bought Black Shark 2. But as I was getting reaquinted with the weapons in the Shark I started noticing that my FPS dropped a lot after having taken out a few units...
Most FSX developers produce a lot of rubbish, but Iris is one of the few that I quite like, so I do hope that they will be back. Although I do feel that they bit over a bit too much when they decided to make something as complex as a Mudhen as their first DCS aircraft.
I have always wanted to be able to activate the smoke pods while still on the ground, would it be possible to add this? We were often see teams like the dutch or belgian F-16 demo teams turn on the smoke before getting airborn. But in DCS its not possible to turn on the smoke before you're in the air..
