  1. For those unaware, Chuck has updated his guide: https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-mirage-2000c/
  2. It is evident that you did not read the thread I linked for you. No one disagreed that it was historically utilized, at least on station 6. However, the USMC has gone to center-line or stations 3 or 5 mounting as standard practice. So much, in fact, that current tactical manuals do not have them loaded on station 6 (or 2). Zeus pointed it out in that thread. However, I'll quote it here for your convenience. That said, it still is not available on 2 and 6.
  3. Previously reported, responded to by Zeus67, moved to Resolved Bugs, and still not available: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=198431 The tactical manuals do not have them put the TPOD on 2/6, but it doesn't mean it can't be equipped there. It's probably due to dropping ordnance and having the kept payload closer to the centerline, making it less asymmetrical.
  4. That intersection, according to Google Maps is about: 36°35'03.1"N 115°40'55.6"W I'm away from my rig, so I can't test it, myself. Could you fly over or park at Creech and see if the INS gives you the same issue? Also, if you have another plane with a targeting pod, check what it indicates on the same intersection. It could be the Nevada map.
  5. It isn't normally a blow up situation, it's a near-endless "Your flight has been delayed" bug. Right?
  6. Thanks, again, Maverick. Great inaugural GCI for me ;)
  7. Will the SPO-2 RWR system be enabled for the MiG-19Ps?
  8. From what people have recently said, it is not working: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250188&highlight=Tdc+hud
  9. JG-1_Britchot - Red GCI This is a tentative signup due to the fact I will be on work travel and am not certain of their schedule. I should be able to confirm this in the next two weeks. EDIT: Confirmed, I can be there on Saturday.
  10. Got in with my kids super late last night. Going to spend time with them instead of hope for a reserve slot. Good luck, Blue!
  11. Reminds me of this story: https://www.wearethemighty.com/articles/this-f-15e-scored-an-air-to-air-kill-by-dropping-a-bomb-on-an-iraqi-helicopter
  12. What ever happened to the Airbrake Extend and Retract option that we originally had? This thread asked for the toggle to be added, not to be a replacement. I would really like to see the two positions be implemented, again.
  13. I wish that clip went on a little longer to see the rise of that reticle continue. This video shows a Gr.7 (I believe) on a rocket pass in a ~30° dive. Although it isn't a gun reticle, they're both ballistic munitions and calculated similarly. He pulls up and the pipper and flight path indicator initially rise at a similar pace but separate as the pilot nears the horizon at a relatively constant 3.5G pull. My thought is calculated drop due to gravity, though that's purely speculation. Time at 1:18:
  14. Also, any information on the "additional slots"?
  15. Yes, thank you very much for hosting the event, Mav and the 104th.
  16. That’s a shame, Alpenwolf! I had hoped you would get the chance to enjoy someone else’s tourney!
  17. Haha, some people just don’t have a sense of humor. Small world. My dad flew A-4Ms for VMA-211, back in the late 70s to early 80s. And I flew drones off that EAF at 29 Palms in ‘07.
  18. I did my flight training in Tucson, where the ANG flies their F-16s. After I landed in my Piper Cherokee and exited, a little past mid-field. I was initially told to hold short for the flight of 4 Vipers, all of us taxiing back to parking. I guess the 4th was taking too long for the ground controller and I was told to proceed after #3. The radio call to #4 was priceless, “Be advised, a Cherokee will now be joining your flight as number four.” I taxied looking up into that giant engine nacelle, hoping he didn’t blip the throttle.
  19. Tiger, JG-1 has a sixth. As I understood, he should be listed in the reserves and available to fly if the numbers allow, on Saturday.

    Radar lock issue

"NAV Update/MAGIC Unlock" will only unlock the IR seeker head from a target (the circle), not a radar lock. To unlock a target from the radar, use "Weapons SystemCMD Depress", which used to be something like "Target Unlock".
  22. Did you set the Air-to-Air Missile type to SAR (down)? -if no- Did you have any IR missiles on board? -if yes- Did you fire the missile? -if yes- Was it the R3-R? The Pylon and Weapon type selector is a suggestion, not writ in stone selection that will only fire off that rail. So, if you had an R-60M on board with the type selector up (IR), then the ASP will provide lock tone for the R-60M and, if you fired, would have released the R-60M.
  23. That’s awesome! My flying, yesterday, involved two AH-1Zs passing by the glider port. Unfortunately, there isn’t a DCS solution to that sign.
  24. If you were in the MiG-21 in front of another MiG-21 with their lights on, your jealousy would be cured. The MiG’s lights look good but shine through the cockpit, in fact, the MiG’s lights are always on, even when retracted, which shines two spots below the airplane as she taxis. Also, they’re over powered in the daytime.
