  1. I've seen it in pitch at least. Outer elevons.
  2. The circle on the CI is the current position of the (target) waypoint. Slew the crosshair to where you want it, fix, and the circle will move to this new location.
  3. 10 m is outside the launch envelope for the Rb-04 though.
  4. That's the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
  5. Don't forget to check both A1 and A2.
  6. Ragnar is a warrior. For those that didn't know, Viggen has been in development since way before LNS was a company.
  7. Sure, but since DCS (probably?) can't do that, we need some reasonable average number. Going from memory here, but the modern Mavs on the A-10 are lockable at like 10 nm. I also checked the SFI, but there's no range mentioned in the sections describing Rb-75 employment. Isn't that a bit strange? I mean, this must have been communicated to the pilots somehow.
  8. You're misreading that. It says earliest, not latest. That's because the electronics are not cooled properly in ground idle. If you want to switch to NAV more than 2 minutes before take-off, you need to place the throttle in flight idle, per the AJS SFI Del 2 Kap 2 sida 16.
  9. How much further?
  10. In any case, I don't think that's what's going on. (And my ground control authority has nothing like infinite gain). There's this weird pulsating of the engine while at Ground Idle of a few % RPM. My elevons are moving up and down in time with that.
  11. I agree, good post.
  12. I've never seen this clipping you speak of? The HUD is far from modern, obviously, but I have had no problem viewing the areas of it that should be viewable. No, and that's more of a straw man than an example. :) But if someone says "I use a keyboard and I'm having real trouble flying and slewing the radar cursor at the same time" I'll probably reply that they should get a HOTAS to enjoy the sim as much as possible.
  13. Nope, I'm not sure. I'm basing that statement on the fact that setting external lighting is not one of the items on the startup checklist which is delayed until after engine start when doing a start without BRAGG (because they need AC power). Maybe the idea is that you set the switches to the desired settings even though they are not powered, and they then come on when the generator kicks in? I guess it's a bug, then!
  14. Yes, they can run on battery power so this behaviour is correct :)
  15. No, that's not what that says.
  16. You can set a deadzone on your pedals in the DCS axis settings and see if there's still quivering.
  17. Just wanted to revisit this; we're both right in that reference works perfectly fine in all HUD positions, but the actual checklist for performing manual course entry does say to put the HUD in flight mode. Pretty sure it's to make it easier though, shouldn't have any effect on where the aircraft is pointing obviously.
  18. The climbs you did with fuel regulator to MAN, were they dry? If so it seems we have too much wet thrust at altitude, and too little dry, right?
  19. I certainly hope so, it's a really cool feature.
  20. It's the job of LNS to capture the features, good and bad, of the real aircraft. It is not the job of LNS to make sure the ergonomics are good.
  21. IIRC it works but just visually does not pop out right now.
  22. I'm pretty sure there's a bug preventing the CK from getting the automatic heading fix when travelling down the runway.
  23. I'm not convinced that should matter. Selecting NAV right before taking off should be fine I think. What? Pretty sure that's just wrong. As for all high-alpha flight, the SI glass should be in its lowered position for take-off.
  24. Read the posts above mine and you'll see what I'm referring to :) To be clear, braking is forbidden when actually moving backwards, not while slowing down using the reverser.
  25. Yes, wheelbrake use when reversing is strictly forbidden. Brake by disengaging the reverser.
