  1. Cool! Fuel flow seems like a suspect, then? I don't know what the fuel regulator manual setting does, will read the SFI. EDIT: Okay, so the fuel regulator to MAN means that the calculator which is normally used to decide how much fuel the engine gets is completely bypassed, and the fed fuel is instead simply proportional to the throttle setting. This is SFI, Del 1, Flik 9, sida 6.
  2. I just got hit by a Shilka and lost: RUDDER Backup pitot FR24ANTENNA ELEVONINNERRIGHT I didn't know what was going on since I a) didn't hear any impacts and b) *Saw no visual trace of this on the external model*. Is this yet to be implemented or is this an unknown bug?

According to the AJ SFI, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8bCDRcq9BVeY0gycWRrMXVIdTA/view (p. 64), I should be able to get to 10 km with full military power on a clean A/C with full fuel -275 kg at ISA, and it should take about 12 mins. Not only can I not keep the climbing speed of v_i = 676 km/h at even close to that altitude; I can't get to even 10 km on dry power, no matter what I do. Currently I'm doing 480 km/h indicated at 7.8 km altitude, and slowing down, in level flight.
  5. The LNS DCS Viggen manual should have some detail on it. Otherwise, this excellent post by Ren has some translated stuff, so you might be able to find the relevant parts of the SFI in English. There are lots of A/G options for Viggen, if you include the anti-ship stuff (technically not ground but use the Attack setting on the weapon selector); 04, 05, 15, 75. Also, the weapon selector dial has options for much more stuff than AGMs.
  6. I have to retract my previous statement, after doing some tests. I felt it was way underpowered at MS but after a few quick and dirty tests against the AJ SFI it's definitely ballpark. There are still some high-altitude inconsistencies though --- I should be able to get to 16 km on MAX ZON 2 with a clean aircraft -275 kg, but my afterburner stops working at like 12-13 km.

  8. The CK cannot handle mixed weapon loads in real life (with the exception of AKAN I think), so this is correct behaviour.
  9. Might this also be partly due to the fact that the NWS sensitivity right now makes it hard to stay on the centreline?
  10. Anything I've seen in SFI just says that the CK uses aircraft altitude relative to the target, and doesn't mention from which source this information is gleaned. If someone else has found something more specific, please share. It does say, however, on Del 3, Flik 2, s. 13 that which means what I wrote, that the radar is only commanded to measure target range in ANF.
  11. Yeah, the MAX SLÄCKT (military) power is bugged for sure. Well, either drag or thrust.
  12. I have also read the relevant part of the SFI and I don't understand why the QFE would be needed either (nor have I actually seen it explicitly stated that it even is needed). EDIT: Wait, in NAV the radar isn't available for ranging, right? Could that be it? If in NAV, the CK needs QFE since the radar is only commanded to measure target range in ANF.
  13. Yeah, this is wrong. According to SFI (Del 3, Kap 1, Flik 7, s. 63) the missile should light its engine and burn off the rail, not be released and then light as in the OP. (Just like the are on the Warthog.)

  16. No, PLAN is correct. (= "level flight" which is what you're doing). The QFE should be 1052 or so, and master mode should be NAV. Upon unsafing the trigger the CCIP symbology should appear. If you can't see it when diving and going fast, there's something else wrong.
  17. I can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure the pitch ladder bars should disappear when using CCIP. EDIT: yes, of course, the mission is bugged. See above.

  19. Your position in the cockpit also makes a difference obviously. Assuming you use TIR, stretch a bit.

  21. Probably, but the idea isn't to steer at the target (as most people on youtube do). You pop up towards the target, fire, then steer slightly away from the target and proceed to guide the missile. The manual has diagrams.

  24. Rudder is a known and internally fixed bug (or several actually).
  25. I have trim bound to the WH hat as well and it's not slow for me. Are there several options perhaps? A slow and a fast.
