Definitely up for playing with R4Ms Also the X4 wire guided "rocket"..

The problem with this solution is that you're committing 20% of all of the Ka-50 assets that exist in the world, I prefer a solution that seems plausible given the very limited deployment of Ka-50s IRL. When we get our Mi-24 we can emulate the tactics employed in Afghanistan to the enjoyment of everyone involved. That will be a good day.

If I have sane commanders 12 soldiers would be sent into a situation with relatively low intensity resistance so I would take IR suppressors (in case of MANPADS), extra armour (should be resistant to most small arms) and UPK-23-2 gunpods only in addition to the 12 soldiers. As for fuel I would give myself enough for the trip there and the trip back (at full weight) plus a 20 minute reserve for diversions/ emergencies. I don't think I should need more but that loadout probably is light enough to let me equip some rocket pods if I should need them.

I'm interested in exactly how GCI will work as well, is it a matter of following some headings and altitudes over the radio or is there some ILS style bars on the ADI or what?
-
I love the way it looks like it's just not built quite right, like the wings were an afterthought and they couldn't quite work out where the CG was. It's a good looking aircraft and probably a lot of fun to use. However I think Leatherneck should do whatever they feel qualified to do the most.

POLL: BEST PLANE IN A2A ROLE IN DCS WW2
Paradox replied to USARStarkey's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I am excited about getting to use a fighter which is designed for turn capability rather than energy fighting. So that makes me interested in the Spitfire. I forsee most of my time being spent in the P-47 though, the complexity of its controls interests me. I don't think I can get behind the German design priority of having everything automated, I want levers to push and handles to spin. That's why I want a Russian fighter at some stage. -
Which aircraft do you enjoy flying the most?
Paradox replied to IonicRipper's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
If the MiG-29 got an AFM and 6dof cockpit it might well be my favourite but for me right now it's the F-15 with AFM. -
This is interesting actually, being able to get the contents of the DVD as a download would interest me more than the physical DVD if only to save distribution costs (which I know are not insignificant with international shipping).

Imagine having to guess which one of those returns is the C-130 you're hunting above the clouds. Not an easy job.

It's interesting, a lot of people seem to feel like this and I'm not sure I understand it. Can anyone elucidate to me the reasons that you feel that the Me 262 is such an interesting aircraft? I understand that being among the first operational jets using experimental technology and using design decisions that you don't necessarily see these days is cool but I know next to nothing specific about those aspects. Just curious.

What a brilliant combination of professions for members of a small company :D I don't think too many people can say they've worked in that kind of environment.

106... 107... 108... 108 and a half...
Paradox replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Community skins will exist in the first month anyway, it's not worth complaining about. Historical accuracy is great but you actually want simulators to sell in Germany, it's one of the biggest markets. -
Might be good. I did finish Battlestar 2.0 eventually but I found it such a drag after the 2nd season.

LABS is mental. I hope we get one in Belsimtek's F-86 but I wouldn't count on it, as you say not many of them had it.
-
ohhhhh, you've done well today!
-
Nobody is going to be charged for extras beyond the aircraft itself. I really don't understand why people keep asking for new charges and wishing for unscrupulous business practices. Just think about the complexity of implementing paid skin packs into multiplayer that everyone can see.

I am very sorry that you felt you had to make that post Dolphin, I'm quite aghast at the behaviour of some people in this thread and I hope that the guys at Leatherneck trust that the vast majority of us are still very supportive of the project and of you guys personally. Just settle down some of you guys, really.

Time to crank the engines and get these birds flying I think. Quite an elegant feat of software engineering to get this little backer + forum permission system to work and it seems to work almost as intended. Puts me in a good mood for the future.
-
Actually a very elegant little system going on here. This ought to be good.

Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here
Paradox replied to Charly_Owl's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Well there it is. I hope this system works. And I hope Ilya actually uses that backer section of the forum. -
Personally I think the Eastern European front is more interesting but I agree that it ought to be one thing at a time. To tell the truth the reason I think the Eastern Front is so interesting is that I dream of one day flying a DCS quality YaK-3.

Oh hey I forgot to do this #17838 Location: Devon, UK

Estimation from watching a lot of Rudel's streams, there's quite a bit of work to be done on some aspects. I can't really speculate on any vague amount of time it'll take because I don't know what their development schedule is but it certainly won't be ready by the 30th.

Yeah, there's easily another couple of months work that needs to happen before we can start discussing revised release dates.
