  1. Thank you for these Tomcatter! I read that you have a special texture for the Tanker that I assume removes the sonobouy launchers. Would this not be a true S-3B where as the standard model from ED would be more like an S-3A? Please correct me if I am wrong. Really appreciate your beautiful work here. -Woog
  2. Please Ed, remake Nevada with your new tech and add FALLON at the bare minimum. However Edwards and maybe China lake too. All within the bounds of the existing map dimensions. I will gladly pay full price for a new version that looks as good as Afghanistan. -Woog
  3. I really hope Dino (IndiaFoxtEcho) brings in an asset pack. He has a decent E-2C, and C-2 he had released in P3d. Also an A-4/TA-4/OA-4 that would be nice to have.
  4. ED doesn’t even do all of their own 3d models, they hire and/or buy from 3d studios as well. Like you said, it’s an efficient and effective method to manage resources. Check out this studio, a good number of ED’s assets came from here: http://www.precise3dmodeling.com/ ED even showcased the C-17 model some years back advertising it coming in an update that never materialized. I surmise that there was a monetary disagreement. I think 3dReach has done a few DCS models as well. -Woog
  5. Hell yeah! This airframe has been absent from the DCS lineup for far too long. She looks really nice! Any chance you might do some clean skins? When these first showed up on the scene, the USAF took phenomenal care of the paint. As they aged, obviously they started looking like what you have masterfully created here. Thank you again for tackling this aircraft. So very excited to have them in sim. -Woog
  6. What is wrong with the existing MiG-21 from Leatherneck (for Ai)? I was hoping Tetet’s 21 would be an early variant like The MiG-21F pictured here.
  7. Good Day Patricio, @Massun92 I see you have included a tanker truck. I am not sure of the make and model, never seen it before. A Mack K-500 would be another iconic tanker truck from the 1980's that would fit really well with late Phantom and Cold War ops. Another couple of vehicles that would be very welcome to have are Chevy CUCV M1008 and M1009 in the sim. These are light utility trucks seen all over US and NATO military installations During the 1980's - 2000's. https://www.meshfactory.com/m1008-cucv-us-nato https://www.meshfactory.com/m1009-cucv-us-nato https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-mack-r-truck-1608203 https://youtube.com/watch?v=8Ap1wdCYkCg&feature=shared
  8. I just got up to date with the latest releases here. Hot Dam CH, you are the MAN!
  9. It would be cool if ED would offer some slight Models modifications to better fit those requested paint schemes. (Small mouth, PW Engine, and maybe even an A tail with Chute option) It’s unfortunate that the model that was picked for the full fidelity module is so very US specific. It was previously stated that ED is not interested in making a hybrid model or expanding to include different blocks. Personally, I would absolutely pay for an official, visual only expansion pack for the F-16. To include accurate liveries on the correctly configured exterior model. -Woog
  10. Good Morning Tetet, Just my two cents, but I wouldn't worry too much about trying to make aircraft that never operated from these ships compatible with your beautiful mod. Loving the texture updates! -Preston
  11. This has nothing to do with HeatBlur, or IndiaFoxtEcho, and there is nothing they can do about it. This is a matter of integrity, or lack thereof. Its the same attitude from people that steal and pirate software. It doesn't matter, that is going to happen whether we like it or not. All I am suggesting, is for us fellow artists to be proactive, upload your own work to these sites so that someone else doesn't take credit for your hard work.
  12. Public Service announcement: Please convert your F-14 Liveries to the MSFS format and upload them, If you don't, somebody else will! Over at Flightsim.to there are a couple of kids that are notorious for taking our hard work and publishing it as their own. I have heard that the MSFS version of the Heatblur Tomcat uses the same Texture format as the DCS version. That means you only need to create the MSFS config file and you have a brand new livery. I hope that all of you fellow artists out there create an account on any of the FS related sites (Especially Flightsim.to) Upload your stuff, and get the proper credit that you deserve. -Preston
  13. Hawkeye, The last post you did kind of reminds me of Cubi Point. I know it is not, but makes me think....... Cubi with all of its Terraces and different Ramp elevations would be a cool little mod. -Preston
  14. @ivan-ivanov-1902 As you can see, the US missiles should have a lot more smoke. -Preston
  15. Good Day Current Hill, I have not installed your version of the Ticonderoga yet, but I have a question about it. Did you increase the texture resolution of that model by chance? The base model is accurate in in shape but the default DCS textures of that model always left a bit to be desired. If you did not do anything with the textures, could you please upgrade those for your model? It would also be a nice bullet point to add on your website for that model. As a side note (Probably not possible): It would be cool to add the experimental Blue Bottom of the USS Port Royal Thank You for your consideration, -Preston
  16. I have a question for you CurrentHill. When you make a mod, do you make use of the DCS "Service Date" feature? (I am no sure what to call it) You know, the timestamp feature of the mission editor that filters out vehicles and/or objects by introduction to service date. Question two, if I was willing to purchase the 3d model of the Flight 1 and FLIGHT 2 Arleigh Burkes, would you be up for completing them to add to your inventory? -Woog
  17. I 2nd that notion, I can't wait for an updated Sprucan/Kidd class. I love black masted 1970's-80's USN fleets. -Woog
  18. Speaking of……Until ED fixes the opacity of the water, I think all ship hulls should be painted black from the waterline down. What say you?
  19. I'm not sure how I missed these amazing mods for this long! I can't wait to get home from work D/L and install the aircraft. Any chance you guys might be up for a mod to RAZBAM's mod KC-130? I would love to see an HC-130H/P even without the Fulton recovery gear working. -Woog
  20. Good Day Roughmaster, Any chance that these skins will be compatible with the IDF mods version with their Tail and/Or CFT's? Your work looks Amazing! -Woog
  21. Thank you for your input Mars, I am glad you put the time and effort into your response. A couple of points that I would like to make. 1) We already have maps for all of the current hotspots of the world. Either in our hands or on short final (Afghanistan). 2) As the premise of my version of the proposed map is Circa 1985, the Soviet Union was still alive and kicking. At this time they very much had a Bluewater Navy with assault craft very comparable to the United States in capability. This is very much a nostalgia map proposal that would allow service members and Fans of US Air Power to relive their glory days operating out of bases that no longer exist in the real world. It would give many of our Aircraft the home base that they currently do not have. Overall, this would be a fun map, which is why I play DCS, for an enjoyable way to pass time. Campaign makers could tap into the 1980's California vibe of hot cars, good music, Palm trees, and beautiful tan lines. The USSR could be hell bent on destruction of that Carefree Capitalist way of life. I mean there are so many possibilities. The other two Historical maps that are needed is Vietnam and Cold War Fulda Gap/Germany. I am pretty sure ED has an outline for both of these already. -Woog
  22. @LanceCriminal86Good Day Sir, after seeing your completed Maverick skins, I stopped working on mine altogether. Bravo Sir. I do wonder if you will be doing Iceman as well? The only one currently available is not very good. Your attention to detail would be most welcome on that front. -Woog
  23. For me I would prefer to have a complete merger of the two existing maps, so that I only have the one map after I hit install. NineLine has stated that it’s unclear at this time how the assets will be managed and what the implementation will look like in its completed form. I wish people would read through all the comments before they post questions because a lot of times you’ll find the answer you seek without wasting your energy. -Woog
  24. @Andrew This is a limitation of DCS water currently. Your solution would work as a bandaid to make things look a bit more realistic. Although in the real world, the “Hull Red” color does turn quite dark over time with the growth of algae and ocean life. So one could say it is not a band Aid at all. I wish we had whole ship 2d style planform textures rather than the “sample” style of color only. Then we could really get to making custom paints some a little more clean, others used and abused. -Woog
  25. Aloha Sir, I think you can see what I’m saying, as a direct comparison with Tarawa. The deck textures of America look really nice. The Hull texture for the US Navy ships should all have the same color of Grey. Since we can’t change the Default ships (which look pretty accurate IMHO) we should be trying to match them as best as possible. This is why I wondered about sampling their existing texture color? -Woog P.S. Your wakes look really nice, beautiful work!
