Well, i like when US plane use ECM. It's actually easier to find them. And if they have their own radar on (which is 99% of the case), the jamming is absolutely useless : I range them thanks to the RWR.

I have a lot of names that comes to my mind. This community as a lot of awesome people. I guess I will have to name one everyyear. :P I'll mention PeterP too, for all the work he did "under the hood" of DCS engine.

The problem is an obvious overreaction. Everytime something happen, they are rules. Nowaday, you can't do no shit at all in whatever proffesionnal/leisure activity because they are f* rules everywhere. Some are needed, most were just placed here because one stupid dude did something stupid, and someone has placed a rule to prevent that... but most of the time, it still happen anyway. What will happen is that : -1/ Those who are going to make something stupid will not care if they is a text or not -2/ the 99.99999% of people who are straight, will have another f**** text f**** their life. One night, some people went playing paintball in the night, in a forbidden place with NVG (forbidden too). One month after, Paintball was nearly forbidden in France and I had to move to Belgium since my company decided to move there. Took us 5 years before having the restriction withdrawn. All that because someone stupid decided to play in the night. Someone stupid decided to crash his plane on a mountain. HELL LET'S PLACE A LAW ! That will mess with 99.9999999% of the legit pilots, and actually this is proven absolutely useless : If someone wants to crash a plane, he'll do it. But everytime a pilot want to piss, he'll have yet-another-protocol to follow. What are we going to add to the law when a plane will go missing because a plane crashed with two people on board? Shall we place a cop in the cockpit next ? They are more death per year from people dying in car crashes than suicide. Would you like the state to forbid you to drive alone unmonitored ? So to answer that - It not the content but the principle of yet-another-rule that is the problem

come on, that isn't hard. Even with a broken arm, you should be able to use one finger. All we need is a few letters along with a few numbers. :D

Hi Maverick, Kudos for organizing those community event ! Will the track be available after the event ? I did enjoyed the last tournament track, and learned a lot with the Tacview files. (Thanks for those !) Since lots of us can't play and that spectating is not possible (is it ?), that would be great for those who can't attend but enjoy to watch skilled battles.

I hope that'll be the case on EU server. I get connection interrupted everytime i try to connect to the US server - my ping can go above 200 when trying to go thru the atlantic... so i guess I won't be able to test that :D

It's somehow sad that they wait for a "angry mob" type of thread before they communicate on anything. Ah ah ah. Let me put it that way : If you receive half of the AH1 and then they move on something else "because its priority", how would you fell ? :D

Doesn't change much. If you want to crash the plane, it'll take you a couple of second to bring the plane in a fatal dive while killing the engine. Actually, it has been done in the past, even tho the captain was in the cockpit. It's more about reassuring the market than real safety. The thing is, you can't just change aviation because one plane crashed. At that point, adding more rule to the industry, is like just forbid private cars so no-one get killed in car accident. That represent a way more death/year than aircraft crash by suicide. I would agree with you.... Until I searched for similar cases. Hi everyone ! DCS-BIOS, required for FlightPanel to run, has been updated this week. It is strongly recommended to update it. You can download the files here : https://github.com/dcs-bios/dcs-bios Just overwrite your installation files. Warning: if you are running Helios or any others 3rd party requiring export scripts, make sure you backup you export.lua first. One change may concern some FlightPanel users. HSI instruments variable have been corrected in DCS BIOS. If you were using HSI_HDG as input in your profile, you may want to open your profile with a script editor (Notepad++ is fine - regular notepad may be troublesome), and replace "HSI_HDG" input by "HSI_HDG_KNOB". If you are unsure how to edit this, let me know and I'll fix your file for you. Don't hesitate if you have any question or suggestions, Pierre.

Yeah that great (except the bug). 1073 bug is related to DCS-BIOS. It can't find the DCS-BIOS installation. It can be either from a bad installation of DCS-BIOS, or the configuration not pointing toward the correct save folder. First thing to check is FlightPanels configuration. If you are running DCS Open Beta, it needs a little modification. Start a fresh A10 or Huey profile. If any error message, just don't pay attention. you should get a "DCS BIOS Setting" menu. there, they should be an entry for DCS-BIOS JSON folder. If you DCS is an OPEN BETA, you need to correct that. Add ".openbeta" right after "DCS" Should be something like : "C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\DCS-BIOS\doc\json" The second issue is DCS-BIOS installation. Check in the manual that you have installed it correctly. It is described in the installation chapter. Look at the screen below, your DCS savegame folder should look like this. Let me know if this solve the problem.
